Avatar f tn Thank you for your feedback. We would also love it if doctors would give out MedHelp's URL to their patients to help track symptoms. Then their patients could just click Email This on their trackers and send it to their doctors for review. We could easily add Restless Legs as a symptom and Mirapex as a treatment to the Sleep Tracker. Would that work for you?
Avatar n tn Hi Byron, I too have serious Restless Leg Syndrome...I don't know about the Monavie but what I take and is wonderful is Mirapex. I take it 3 times a day and have no restless legs unless I skip a dose or run out and then the RLS returns. I hope this has helped.
10905573 tn?1436924423 I just found I'm pregnant. I am 5 weeks. I have restless leg syndrome and the doctor wants me to stop taking my mirapex. I tried but ended up taking a half a pill (doctor said this is ok to try to wean myself off). Is there anything I can take for it so I can sleep?!?!
Avatar m tn I was prescribed ultram for a severe case of Restless Leg Syndrome almost three and a half years ago. I started with 75mg and have slowly increased the dosage to 400mg. The drug has always worked well for the rls but now I am at the upper limit and the drug is loosing its effectiveness. I had tried all the usual medications for rls before taking the Ultram. I have tried requip, mirapex, sinamet, gabapentin, lyrica and a host of others. Ultram was the only one that worked well.
Avatar m tn I am unable to walk for long periods of time, the pain is not lessening even though i am currently taking myropex on a daily basis. I have had testing for restless leg syndrome, arthritis, had an mri, etc and am tired of not being able to get any relief from this because no one knows whats wrong. This has been ongoing for over 10 years and is progressively getting worse to the point I had to quit my job because I was not able to function normally. Any help would be appreciated.
689327 tn?1240229164 Does anyone have restless leg syndrome and if so what do doctors recommend to take so you can sleep? No matter what position I am in it hurts which it makes it hard for me to sleep I am so tired so any ideas would be appreciated.
1390101 tn?1281000559 I was also on exflexor for my anxiety and ween myself off of that. I figure a combination of both are probably the cause of waking up and not being able to say asleep. Now that my body is clear of both drugs my anxiety is extremly high , I refuse to go back on exflexor, I started taking a B100 and it appears to help for the anxiety however I am really sleepy during day so I'm going to try taking it before bed, see if that will help me sleep thought the night.
Avatar f tn Hello, One possibility for your symptoms is restless leg syndrome. It is a disorder of the part of the nervous system that affects movements of the legs. Because it usually interferes with sleep, it also is considered a sleep disorder. Sometimes restless leg syndrome can be caused by diabetes, iron deficiency anemia, Cigarette smoking, magnesium or Vit B12 deficiency. Get your blood tests for any kind of anemia done. Also get yourself evaluated for diabetes by blood sugar levels.
1154672 tn?1262222616 I have severe Restless leg Syndrome. I have been on Mirapex for about 6 years now, and never had a problem. I am unemployed now, and do not have any health insurance. My doctor has been great to give me samples, however; they are out of them right now. My doctor tried giving me clonazepam 1 mg 2 nights ago, I walked the floors and tossed and turned all night. I called my doctor, and she said to increase my clonazepam to 2mg before bed.
Cat I was diagnosed in the 1980's, after a sleep study, with nocturnal myoclonus. . .similar to restless legs, but my whole body twitched violently day and night. . .The doctor tried having me take quinine, which did not agree with me at all. Because I'd read that it was helpful in lessening the pain of migraines, which I'd suffered from since being switched from Armour Thyroid to Synthroid and/or its generic forms, at some point I started taking magnesium and calcium together.
329994 tn?1301663248 Does anyone on here have Restless Leg Syndrome and are they being treated for it? and could you please list your symptoms, what it feels like. I don't believe that I have it, but my doctor put me on Klonopin to see if that helps. What I have our leg aches, ankle aches, basically all day long but they are worse after exercise and at night. They ache so much, they drive me crazy. But I don't get that creepy crawly feeling everyone talks about.
723341 tn?1232338253 Be careful treating rls. I have taken 3mg of mirapex for over 7 years. Apparently it is a high dose for rls. It seems rls has spread to my arms and shoulders. A sleep specialist said that it spread due to the high dosage. I'm staying on it though because nothing else works. Good luck.
410281 tn?1254229064 It is a Parkinson's drug, but I don't know if it used for fibro. I had a couple of docs hint at fibro for me too, but I didn't have the right "points" of pain.
136956 tn?1688675680 It would be very difficult to comment on the situation without a definitive diagnosis or even an examination. Other than restless leg syndrome other possibilities that may need to be considered are vascular issues, peripheral neuropathy, musculopathies, hormonal/ endocrine issues, micronutrient deficiencies, infections, stress/ depression etc. Without an evaluation it would be difficult to say what effect would a particular drug have on it.
Avatar n tn It is called restless leg syndrome which can affect your arms and legs. It usually happens to me at night or when I have been sitting for a long time. I take Mirapex for it right now.
Avatar n tn Any other moms out there suffering from restless leg syndrome? I'm 33 weeks pregnant and miserable at night!!! What have you done to ease the discomfort? Any tricks that work? Thanks!
Avatar f tn pramipexole is a non ergoline dopamine agonist given for treatment of restless leg syndrome. Certain of its side effects also like hyperalgesia or feeling exaggerated aches and pains and hallucinations of feeling things that are not there could be contributing to your hyper sensitivity to touch.
492921 tn?1321289896 Restless Leg Syndrome is the "feeling" of creepy, crawling sensations in your legs, that make you feel like you HAVE to move your legs. It's a twitching that you feel inside your legs that seems to happen at rest or when you try to sleep. It does not cause purposeful shaking of the leg. I have had RLS for over 15 years. From what you are describing, this sounds like something else.
405614 tn?1329144114 OK, Is it possible that the Restless Leg Syndrome I was diagnosed with from a sleep study several years ago might have been an early symptom of my maybe possible MS? It recently occured to me that I list RLS as a neurological symptom on medical forms, and that as far as I know there is no real know cause for RLS. Low iron has aggravated it, but it wasn't low when I was tested for RLS.
910476 tn?1245881549 OMG do I know about restless leg syndrome, Ive suffered for years and years, and no one understands it unless you have had it. People think its just the jitters, but you have to move your legs constanly and stretch and its the most annoying thing ever. Well I finnally had enough my doctor ( after years and years of explaining this) sent me to a nerve and mustle doctor. My nerves are fine. But I say so? whats with the RLS? Im now on Mirapex and TRUST ME IT WORKS!!!!!!
Avatar f tn THEY ALSO SAY I HAVE RESTLESS LEG SYNDROM, AND I TAKE MIRAPEX FOR THIS, DOES RESTLESS LEG SYNDROME CAUSE YOUR LEGS TO HURT ALL DAY? I REALLY NEED TO KNOW, I AM TIRED OF HURTING!
410281 tn?1254229064 I know nothing about Parkinson Disease at all but I do know that they use Parkinson's drugs for restless leg syndrome, so I think it is commonly prescribed for things like that. I have a friend who has restless leg syndrome and she is on some kind of Parkinsons Disease drug and it has helped her a lot, but she was running all night, she was pretty bad. I had never heard of Restless leg syndrome until I met her. Hope someone else can be of more help to you, Udkas.
