I was diagnosed with H pylori and have been on triple antibiotics- Amoxicillan, omeprazole, metronidazole. I am also on Sucralfate for acid control, promethazine for vomit control and Hydrocodone for pain control. Does this really sound like H. i think it is not goining by antibiotic alone or garlic alone, i think H. Pylori can be treated by quadruple therapy for one week Esomeprazole (Nexium) + Clarithromycin (clacid) + Metronidazole (flagyl) + (Lactobacillus reuteri (i.e. biogaia) after the antibiotic course it has a suppression effect on h.pylori and prevent its occurance).
t seem to be going away. At what point I made dr appt. They found I had the H pylori antibody. So this is day nine on the prilosec and day seven on the antibiotics (Ammoxicillin and clarithromycin)for the H pylori. My symptoms are still there SOMETIMES after eating. I was recently dx with H pylori. Along with the H pylori I have this weird body odor which smells slightly of ammonia and somewhat meaty? I have this weird taste in my mouth as well. I was taking a prevpac for 14 days and I thought that would take care of the weird body odor as well as kill off the pylori bugs. My stomach feels better but I still smell weird? I also have bright red blood in my stool with each stool. At this point I have no idea what's going on.
the following few days i had tremors anxiety and could not sleep this lasted a few days. then i had an appointment with gp who told me i had h pylori from a test the month previous i was given 3 tablets to cure it and 1 of them was ammoxicillin and again after 3 days the same symptoms came back. i was told that i react badly to ammoxicillin and was given different meds which are ok.
