Now that I have stopped it completely, small bumps have appeared where I was putting the topical solution. The doctor now prescribed Doxycyline for 1 month and Metrogel 1%. There has been improvement, but very slowly with 2 flare ups so far. It has been two weeks since I stopped the steroid completely. Will it ever go away? Will my skin return to the way it was before the steroid use? (I never had rosacea before) Thank you in advance.

If you think that you have developed this scratchy type of rash after using the gel it is recommended to stop the gel. I will advise you to see a dermatologist and get your rash seen. Bv can come bak at any time during pregnancy

The NP precribed metrogel for 5 days at bedtime. I havent found the courage to take it yet, because its inserted vaginally. The warning states its a category B and can be passed through the placenta. Has anyone else taken metrogel during their pregnancy? If so wad everything ok?

I have a yeast infection might start my period soon and im on Fluconazole and metronidazole (2 pills 72 hours apart and metrogel for 5 days once every bed time) yesterday was my first day on pill and gel and today i notiched like this blood like little clumps nothing like discharge i want to know if its normal ?

she prescribed metrogel and doxycycline I tried the metro gel was taken off.tried doxy and had to go to the e.r. had sever adverse side affects I thought I was going to die.Then the specialist said they where not going to treat me.That I should be fine.WHAT!!!I went to a different gyno obgyn and he isn't treating me for urea pkasma either told me to take pro biotics.

I took the a 3 day monistat suppository & when that finished I took the metro gel for BV medicine. Should I have waited to take the BV medicine since now I getting a white clumpy discharge? If left there too long it seems to irritate to me. Do I need to retreat the yeast or will it clear once I finish the metrogel??

Flagyl is metro only is pill for. Metro gel is a gel form of flagyl that u insert into your vagina. Both are said to be safe and are prescribed during pregnancy for bv.

Since you are at the tail end of your therapy anyway, you could probably get away with using the gel at night before bed and the gel during the day although it is not ideal, it is probably good enough.

I have seen the dermatologist's PA, and he said I have peri-oral dermatitis. The cause isn't yet known as to whether or not it was caused by steroid use or allergy. I am using Metrogel and he wanted me to use Oracea pills as well but I may be allergy to Tetracycline so I'm just using the Metrogel 1% topical. It is too soon to know if it is working but it seems to be. Does Rosacea cause itching usually? Is the peri-oral dermatitis a broad term that can include rosacea?

Have seen two dermatologists so far but the condition did not improve. He was given topical metrogel 1% which did not work and the 2nd dermatologist put him on antibiotics for 3 months! nothing worked and wondering what other options he has.

I would love to hear from anyone who can offer some info such as how most hepatologists feel about the use of this gel (or any other topical NSAID) in cirrhotics. I just have this lingering doubt that my hepatologist tends to be a little bit too relaxed about some things – it does seem to take quite a lot to actually alarm him. Thanks!

Now he wasn't so sure anymore, so he took a biopsy from 4 lesions and sent them in. He gave me Clobetasol Propionate 0.05%.

it's not unusual at all for bv to come back over and over again. continue to be seen every time you have discharge for proper testing. if the oral treatment for bv isn't working for you, ask your provider for the vaginal metrogel instead. it's been shown to alter the vagina's ph and keep bv away longer than the pills do. do you have a regular partner? do you use condoms?

Can I use metrodizole gel for bv and use monistat creme for yeast infection at the same time.? One during day and 1 at night? Or both at night? I know I have both I just don't know if I can insert both into vagina at same time or once in morning and other at night?

I was diagnosed with a bladder infection and a vaginal infection. I assume its bacterial vaginosis because my doctor prescribed Bactrim and Metrogel. But because I have Raynaud's Syndrome, I can't use Metrogel. So my doctor has now prescribed Cipro. But how would either one help with the vaginosis? And as for the bladder infection, couldn't I just take one because they both treat UTIs?

Can someone recommend anything?
