But since about 2 hours after intercourse, I have been experiencing pain in my lower stomach area. It feels like menstrual cramps in the uterus area. The pain is not unbearable, but sometimes unconfortable enough that I have to take a pain reliever. I am curious as to if this is normal or not, because it's been almost 4 days of pain, considering the fact it was only my first time having sex and I am 16 years old.

d ask the doctor about icy hot or products like it honestly but try the heating pad on low nd see if that works or if you need pain reliever you can take Tylenol

The pains can originate in either your back or the front and feel like menstrual cramps. The closer you get to GO-TIME the closer the contractions will feel and the pain will become stronger. Your water breaking will be the means to the end, sometimes. After your water breaks than the pain will become even stronger than before. This is when most women say they want the epidural or the IV pain reliever. My second child gave me a completely different experience altogether.

I never needed it but for the first two days of my period. Advil is not a pain reliever or pain medicine, it is a muscle relaxer, basically. In other words, it blocks the prostaglandin that cause muscles to cramp, so they don't cramp. That's why it is so good for menstrual cramps. I don't recommend pain pills or opiates for period pain, but Advil can be just the thing.

Hello, I'm 23 years old and ever since I first got my first period I've had menstrual cramps on the right side of my lower abdomen. I've never though much of this, until recently when I realized most of the women I know say they feel cramping on both sides, or just on the lower abdomen.

I'm 5weeks pregnant and I go through terrible abdominal pains at night and sometimes during the day. I've been bearing it cause I don't want to take any pain reliever that might harm the baby. Has anyone else experienced such painful cramps during early pregnancy?

This might sound dumb but....If I have really bad cramps and upset stomach I find some relief by having a wintergreen lifesaver/hard candy. Peppermint might work, too. I don't know what it is about it but it would help settle me. You may want to consult a gyno to find out if maybe birth control could help control your symptoms. Best of luck!

I'm 34 weeks and having the strongest menstrual type feeling cramps ever. My Lower back is in so much pain. It's almost unbearable. Should I be concerned? Did anybody experience this before labor?

Is there an OTC pain reliever that I can use for my menstrual cramps while I am experiencing ulcer-like symptoms? If not, what are the best alternatives? The first 2 days are always just awful, and before I usually took 6 advil gelcaps throughout the day for the first 2 days. Thank you!

since iv in the past drank real heavy. forgot to mention to the doctor. but I take pain reliever pms at nite to get to sleep. have a cpap machine. it works to a point. keeps me breathing. but dont get me to sleep. so im up to the point where i take 7-8 pms at night to get to sleep. could that cause pancreas problems?

I have been suffering extremely painful cramps for years now, ever since I got my first period when I was 13. I'm currently 18 and am going off to college very soon, but I have no idea how to deal with these cramps that incapacitate me for an entire day. My cramps get so bad that I usually faint. For example, when I was around 14 my period came in the morning but I still went to school.

There is a lot going on right now. I would get very bad menstrual like cramps in the beginning of my pregnancy but all is good now.

I had an ovarian cyst rupture recently so I was told the pain in my side came from the fluid left around my ovaries and that it would take care of itself. It has been 11 days since the cyst ruptured but I still occasionally have pain.
