Avatar n tn My thought was to join forces, weed out the bad products and report back to the group. The cost to purchase all these items and try them can be an exhorbitant blow to the budget and in these economic times it would help to join forces. If nothing else, being a part of a group might help so that none of us feels alone. Maybe we could each pick a product or a process and try it for a month. Keep track of any changes, expenses etc and let everyone here know what works and what doesn't.
Avatar n tn I went down to Sally's Beauty Supply (a beauty supply store franchise) and they were baffled about the spot, but not about the over shampooing. They gave me some "dry shampoo" which is spray shampoo that you can use when you don't have access to actually wash your hair. Well, I got home and sprayed it all over the top of my head. I have brown hair and the spray was a light violet, so it looked a bit ashy... however, it dried the oil right up.
Avatar f tn Hi All! Need some suggestions/advice. I am a 54 yr old woman who has been spotting/bleeding for the past 3 1/2 years. EVERY DAY! Only went away for 5 months 2 1/2 yrs ago, then on again. Just had an endometrial biopsy at the "clinic" (charity care), and they say I have this complex atypical endometrial hyperplasia. They are telling me I need a hysterectomy, but before I can get it I need a hysteroscopy first. Telling me it is pre-cancerous, but that 40-55% is usually cancerous.
Avatar f tn I would like ot think I had a pretty severe case of whatever this was because it started spreading down my hair in the back. I finally went to Sally's Beauty Supply and purchased GVC Tea Tree Oil shampoo and conditioner and that finally did the trick. It was instantly gone. I let the shampoo sit in for a while and i really scrubbed the waxy spots. I put the conditioner in and ran a comb through my hair as well. Tea Tree Oil shampoo and conditioner saved my hair. I was so relieved.
Avatar n tn Both BP and PG are used in food and tons of beauty/cosmetic products. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I'm pretty sure mine are swollen tonight b/c of a blemish cream (pharmacist said it was PG free) I used a couple days ago for a break out (or rash?) on my forehead and neck that accompanied my last flare-up a couple weeks ago. So, that means that PG was in the product under a different name OR it's benzoyl peroxide, right?
Avatar f tn I have the same problem with the sticky, waxy, greasy hair on the crown of my head. I've also been reading different posts on the internet. I don't use any hair products except nice & easy to color my hair and shampoo and creme rinse. I've noticed that it happens to my hair in the spring, and eventually subsides. I also tried a variety of shampoos (including medicated) and they didn't work. I did read about the vinegar and water treatment and I'm so glad others have posted that it works!
Avatar f tn I had upper and lower jaw surgery 3 years ago and my health has never been the same. I was given 4 plates and screws in the mandible and maxilla and got the same story about the bioavailability of titanium, but I question it. I have done some moderate research over the last few months and I found one excellent study about a very small percentage of patients having significant health systems since receiving Ti implants.
Avatar n tn 00 in doctor bills and no relief a pharamcist recommended these two products and i thank him for the relief. I am not sure if you all wanna try this and see what happens. Also try washing underwears separately and with a softener instead of harsh soap powders....I hope this helps.................
Avatar n tn I was just saying the other day how horrible it would be. He was in perfect health, and worked out and everyhting, then BAM. Anyway, someone has to go to the doctor and find out what it is. I am 31 years old, very healthy. I work out with weights 4 days a week, and also just started doing yoga. It is also just turned cold here in Texas. I just started getting this feeling on my left foot a week ago. Its like a warm sensation that goes away after a second or so. No pain.
Avatar f tn I started voting absentee because, for one thing, it's much easier to vote from home in the comfort of your home and having time to think about what you're doing, than standing in a line and having people stand behind you waiting. And yes, for me, health care and the economy is probably on the top of my priority list. I have mixed feelings on the war.....with a family member in Iraq and at the same time, not really thinking that he should be there in the first place.
Avatar n tn She tested my reflexes again and assured me that this should run it's course and leave no residual effects. It's always so great to be reassured, because this week it really feels like my muscles are going into spasms more than they were before. Anyway, stay strong everyone and take care!
Avatar n tn A few days ago I noticed a sore, reddish swollen lump on my left inner thigh, right along my bikini line. It has since gotten larger (about the size of a nickel, and more elongated now). It only feels sore if I press on it or rub against it. It seems like a soft lump that moves around with the skin. Last night I applied a warm washcloth to it for about 30 minutes, which made it feel better. Could this be a swollen lymph node, or maybe an ingrown hair?
Avatar n tn There is a good article in Women's Health this month in regards to Chronic pain and the fact that sometimes the nerve does not "shut off" long after the injury has healed. At least this would account for the fact that nothing shows on MRI's, X-Rays, CAT scans, Bone Scans etc., etc.. The hope was that the nerve blocks that I had would work "like shutting down and restarting your computer". One worked for 4 days, the next one 2 (they won't repeat them).
Avatar n tn I have known this for years, but after my mammogram/ultrasound with a BI-RADS 4, I went right to the health food store and bought a deodorant without antiperspirant and am planning to ditch the underwires. It is just not worth it. I have a friend whose fibroids in her breasts went away after she stopped wearing underwires. She used to have them drained every 4 - 6 weeks because they would fill with fluid.
Avatar f tn ( I too have been diagnosed with BRP, and the only relief is from ice--but that feels so hopeless to me. Are there any other cures/solutions? I can not bear the thought of having to endure this torture the rest of my life. Makes me want to cry!
Avatar n tn Let`s stop with that porn, that`s now what we need....we need our health and imagination and I am now really determined to quit and return to nature.
