Avatar m tn Hi Motorspear: Although this is a great community and it deals with pain, I think your question might be better answered by the "Men's Health Forum". I'm sure that you're not the only one with this problem and other men that post in the Men's Health Forum might be better suited to answer this question. I hope that you find the answer your looking for. Others may post as the day goes on and you might get your anwer here...you never know.
Avatar f tn Hi all! I had posted something in Men's health related to this issue last week but now that it seems to becoming a little more clear that it's not a men's health thing and a general health thing I thought I'd post here. My general question is this: When I touch my chin to my chest I feel a very quick numbness in my lower right butt cheek near the Ischial tuberosity. It only lasts for a quick minute and then goes away.
Avatar f tn Hello~You will probably get more help in the men's health forum, I have put a request in for you for this post to be transferred there.
140029 tn?1393298142 quinoa (a light color about the same color as that of sesame seeds). Red and black quinoa can be found in some health food or natural food stores in bulk. The grains I mentioned are great for those of us who need to avoid gluten. Information I learned on Dr. Mercola's site: If you see something made with teff (the grain used in the making of the Ethiopian bread called Injera) steer clear of it. He said that people who don't tolerate gluten don't do well with teff either.

Avatar m tn You can add a sweetener to it or just add the quinoa to salads, soups, regular rice, and yogurt, etc to have the benefit of quinoa plus it will not be bland. Quinoa is a 'grain' consisting of 8 essential amino acids (protein) which is the same as milk, plus it is gluten free (wheat -free). It is a great protein source for people who do not eat meat and it can be eaten in different methods as I stated above.
Avatar f tn Going gluten free has helped several of my conditions, including pre-diabetes. I went gluten free for other health reasons and had many benefits. I would have worse female problems than I do if I hadn't gone gluten free. If it's not endo, there is still something going on down there. However, it's far less severe of symptoms after going gluten free. Going gluten free for me has been in addition to the whole foods concept.
