I have been on Meloxicam for about 4 months and have gained 20 pounds and i feel swollen. I am also on highblood pressure meds. I just quit taking the Meloxicam. Does anyone know if the weight goes away? How long does it take for bloated feeling to go away?
Are the only 2 prescription drugs you are on klonopin and meloxicam?

I have recently done quite a bit of research on meloxicam for myself. Because it takes up to 2 weeks for your blood plasma levels to even reach a beneficial amount of meloxicam, I'm gonna "guess" that it's the reduction in klonopin (or some other med you may be reacting to.
Now after reading about Meloxicam side effects today, I am suspecting that perhaps the issue is the Meloxicam.
My symptoms seem slightly different each day. Initially it was a few days of mostly lower leg weakness and overall lack of energy. That changed to a few days of lower leg tingling and numbness, and then the numbness and tingling moved to mostly my right side leg and arm and slightly in my left leg.
t personally dealt with it but a close friend had to give herself blood thinner shots in her belly throughout her whole pregnancy. Her doctor decided that a scheduled c-section was the best choice for her so that they could be in control of the situation. She hated it but she did want she had to do for the pregnancy.
Is there anyone who is taking Meloxicam that would know how much aspirin is in it? I am allergic to aspirin and just read the printout from the pharmacy. Can't call my dr till Mon. and think maybe I shouldn't take it. On the other hand my dr knows I'm allergic to aspirin. Hoping someone may know.
Has anyone heard of Meloxicam helping with w/d from opiates, such lortabs? I went to the doctor for some issues that I had been having and decided to reach out to my doctor for help getting off these bad boys. He perscribed Meloxicam to help with some the withdrawal symptons. I have to say this stuff, which is just an anit inflammatory will helps with the symptons. It eleminates the hot, flush feeling which is most annoying. It really does help.

I had a successful ablation on july 19, 2010 and only took blood thinner for the first 90 days following the ablation while my heart was healing.. I do take an 81 mg asprin daily. Im 69 so figure theyd want me to take it even with out an ablation. Hope this helps some. Never had a pace maker. re on a blood thinner like warfarin for some reason, they may aim for 2.0 - 3.0. In some cases where clotting is a real problem they may push it up to 2.5 to 3.5. Does that help? Do you have a heart or clotting disorder? Work with your doctor on that. They can control it but you'd have to be monitored regularly.
He ordered an xray of my right rib cage and prescribed me Meloxicam 15 mg. The Meloxicam has helped some... meaning I am able to get up and walk around with constant dull to medium pain in the same place, and sharp pain returns regularly but not constantly. The xray results showed up nothing abnormal. I am a very active person and since 4 days ago can hardly get out of bed without terrible pain. Does anyone have ideas of what could be going on?
