Medroxyprogesterone clomid

Common Questions and Answers about Medroxyprogesterone clomid

depo-provera

Avatar f tn If you were my patient, I would advise you that the medroxyprogesterone acetate will probably help to bring on your period, but won't help you to ovulate and therefore won't help you to conceive. If you are trying for pregnancy and are not having cycles, you may need to start a medication such as Clomid or Femara--make sure your doctor knows that you want a baby and not just a period! Good luck!
Avatar f tn It's been just over a year since my last period so my doctor prescribed Provera to start my period then Clomid. I took the Provera as prescribed for 10 days. It's been 6 days since I stopped and still no period. All of the information I've read says it should take 3-7 days so I haven't called my doctor yet. Has anyone else had this experience. I'm getting a bit worried that this is more serious than my doctor originally thought. Thanks for your help.
777396 tn?1329791151 I have PCOS as well, never have a period unless prescribed medroxyprogesterone, also don't ovulate. Recently went to a infertility specialist and he is putting me on medroxyprogesterone followed by clomid and femara. That is supposed to jump start the ovaries. Did the vaginal ultrasound that diagnosed me with PCOS, had an MI for my pituitary gland , and a lovey HSG test for the uterus and tubes had a mucous plug but that is about it for now. Keep you updated.
Avatar f tn Then re-prescribed the medroxyprogesterone and Clomid. Upping the dose to a double dosage. Well it's now Oct 27 and I finished the 12 day cycle of medicine about 10 days ago. And I still have not started my period. The problem I am having is.... I had tender breasts for about two weeks starting Sept 19 and then vomiting started occurring fairly often. Last Thursday I was having what felt like horrible cramps but no bleeding. Although Wednesday I had light spotting when I woke up.
Avatar f tn i have pcos and been trying for 16months after mc.not oving so doc presc med and clomid any info would be appreciated and how long do i wait before i contact my docs.
Avatar f tn Hi, My doctor put me on medroxyprogesterone to give me my period (I hadn't had one for over a year). It took a full week after taking the last pill to get it. I started Clomid on cd 5-9 and started testing using ovulation predictors on cd 10. I'm now on cd 15 and still no LH surge. Could I be getting a false negative? Thanks!

Avatar n tn Hello All, I am new to this website. My endocronlogist put me on Clomid 50mg and Metmorphin 150mg. I had one mature follicle(17mm). But I was not pregnant that month(Sep 2006), then our next cycle she increased the clomid dosage to 100mg. I still had one mature follicle(24.5mm). I had my IUI done in that cycle. First week after the IUI, the progestrone level was 21.5 and my estrogen level was 200. But still no luck. I am having 30 day cycle now that I started taking Clomid.
Avatar f tn I have PCOS so the chances of me being pregnant right now without the Clomid Metformin and Medroxyprogesterone is slim to none as I haven't had a cycle since July of Last year. Anyway I've posted before about our ventures in TTCing and the ups and downs of everything and although I've been taking metformin to help with the PCOS, I still didn't have a period and it was fine because we weren't ready to try again.
280700 tn?1210287416 I DIDN'T GET PREGNANT I WAS ON CLOMID AND MEDROXYPROGESTERONE AND I DIDN'T GET PREGNANT FOR ABOUT 3 MONTHS? I AM REALLY STRESSED OUT? ANY RECOMMENDATIONS?
Avatar f tn If my doctor has to stop my period some how, before trying to conceieve again, will I have to induce another period? or could I maybe take clomid without a period?Could taking clomid cause my period to kind of stop or lighten so that ovulation can occur?

Avatar n tn anovulation, clomiphene This information is provided for education purposes and is not a medical consultation. If you have specific questions, please contact your physician. Before prescribing clomid, I had a consultation session with a N.P.in October who ordered blood tests. Here are the readings: FSH 4.3 preg- negative LH 17.4 Prolactin 14.

I've been reading it will probably be after I stop taking & also my doctor prescribed clomid for when my period started. But I want to know does it help you get pregnant in the first trial or is it until several times ? Please help me am really anxious to have a baby but I really don't know how fast this treatment will be. I just don't want to get my hopes to high.

Avatar f tn Hi! If you were my patient, I would advise you that Medroxyprogesterone acetate doesn't help you get pregnant. It only helps you have a period if you are not ovulating on your own. If you want to get pregnant, you should probably ask your doctor for a medication such as Clomid which will help you ovulate too. Good luck!
Avatar m tn I have been on Medroxyprogesterone 10mg and Clomid 50mg for a year with no luck of pregnancy. I feel that the Clomid stopped me from ovulating completely. I was just diagnosed with MTHFR. I have not talked to my doctor yet. He wanted me to start my period first before I came in, but having trouble with that. I have taken Medroxyprogesterone for five days now and nothing. I have tried researching MTHFR, but it’s all confusing.

Avatar n tn This is my first posting, although I have been doing a lot of reading, and you are all a HUGE source of support! I finally conceived after 8 months on clomid, however it resulted in an early miscarriage (5 1/2 weeks). The only time I have a "normal" cycle (29 days) is when on clomid. My doctor wants me to have a period on my own before resuming clomid. I was wondering, has anyone has had a normal cycle on their own after miscarriage, when previously dependent on medication?
Avatar f tn Progesterone can cause the CM you are talking about. I never ovulated w Clomid. Clomid actually only matures eggs but does NOT induce ovulation. It encourages ovulation bc the follicles are mature however some women need a higher dose.
1557930 tn?1294636149 If your periods are irregular or have stopped completely and your doctor can find no obvious cause, it may be that something has upset your natural hormone levels. Medroxyprogesterone can help to restore your natural hormone levels, because it mimics the effects of your natural progesterone. Normally the level of progesterone in your blood increases about a week before your period.
427728 tn?1204233418 but ever since last year i've been getting irregular menses. I went to my OB and he perscribed me MedroxyProgesterone and clomid a couple times. After taking it a couple of times I got my menses naturally (without meds), which is really good. This year, January and February I had my menses but only slightly. It wasn't heavy as before. My first day of my last menses was on Feb. 5th 2008.

1003693 tn?1250204277 Well i had an appointment with my endocrinologist today, she said the clomid didn't help, i didn't ovulate, so she told me to stop taking it and to stop taking medroxyprogesterone cause it was making me swell and gain weight, but she referred me to a fertility specialist who she has talked to and who is willing to help me, basically the last fertility specialist said they wouldnt' be able to do anything for me cause of my weight, hell they wouldn't even give me clomid unless i lost like 70 pound
1611503 tn?1325485790 The side effects from clomid are killer and its not guaranteed to work. Potential Complications of Clomid The main risk associated with Clomid use is the potential for developing Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS). OHSS can occur with the use of any type of ovulation stimulating drug. It happens when cysts begin to form on the ovaries, causing them to swell to a very large size.
Avatar n tn I went, I was scanned, scooped, pricked and had my tinkle tested for pregnancy needless to say BFN on all accounts. Was I shocked? Absolutely not, I had figured as much! I was put on Medroxyprogesterone to start my period and was told to call the 1st day that my period starts to schedule lab work and to not TTC until the meds are finished (basically no BD'ing for 10 days) and then after that it's a free for all. I think she believes I show symptoms of PCOS, now on to my question.
1856888 tn?1325186544 Today I'm suppose to go pick up the clomid (for the second time) and the Provera. I was just wondering do I have to wait until the 12th again to take the Provera again or can I start taking it today since I skipped a month?
