Avatar n tn You know I may also be TMJ, that's what I have, the worst case. I get pain in my jaw, headaches, sometimes throat pain, and ear pain, and back pain, you'll know if you have it by pressure on your side jaw(both sides) Just my oppinion.
Avatar n tn If it all of a sudden gets worse, we always tell patients they may have a dry socket which is most common when lower wisdom teeth are extracted. It may feel like the upper jaw but this may be referred pain. I would have it checked out because they can pack some medicine in there to help it feel better.
Avatar f tn Could my sore throat have anything to do with the wisdom tooth on the lower portion of the right side of my jaw? Or are the two wholly unrelated? Additionally, my diet for the past several months has consisted of foods that destroy the teeth (sodas, fries, pizzas, coffees, teas, etc.) and I have acid reflux disease. Thank you for your attention to my concerns.
Avatar f tn Hi, Actually, evolution has shortened the lower jaw, thereby making wisdom teeth (or the third molar) obsolete. Many people today are born without them at all. Those of us that have them, if they are crooked or impacted, it's recommended for removal. They can have a direct relationship to the alignment of your other teeth if they have no room to erupt. Not to mention the possibility of jaw bone problems with a tooth trying to erupt directly into it.
Avatar m tn A doctor a year ago performed endodontic surgery in my lower jaw and removed infected tissue and bone in my lower four teeth. But infection again developed resulting in Jaw bone infection. I want to ask whether one year infection in bone can be cured with medicine and is clindamycin best for it or there is surgery required to remove the dead and infected bone. I will be thankful if any one guide me and God will help you in the time of need. Those who help humanity. God loves them.
Avatar m tn A week has gone by from all four impacted wisdom teeth were surgically removed. My jaw on the right side feels like it is locked. I can only open my jaw 1 inch. When I try to open it farther I get excruciating pain and it won't open. Left side is fine. I was very swollen the first three days after surgery. What should I do?
Avatar n tn I had my wisdom teeth pulled, and everything went to plan. I had pain for about 1 and a half weeks. Then all my pain went away and i slowy used my jaw more, and started doing my regular day to day activities. Then suddenly about 4 weeks after the surgery i have had extreme pain on my lower right side of my jaw. It just started back up, out of no where. I didnt hit it, or accidentaly chew something hard. Also when i was recovering after the surgery my lower right side took the longest to recover.
Avatar m tn I want to know why is it necessary to remove wisdom teeth? What are positives except that removing wisdom teeth will not affect other teeth lining and may prevent chances of infection around wisdom teeth? What are negative sides? I am tired of this procedure or that procedure and going to here and there, and now this. I don’t want to complain but I am already struggling with poor general health, stress, anxiety and insomnia and my GP is no help.
Avatar f tn I have braces on my upper jaw and I just got my lower wisdom tooth extracted, its been 5 days, the swelling did go down but I can notice that my face has changed. Do extraction of wisdom tooth make the face fat ? Thnk you.

Avatar n tn ll need to get my wisdom teeth removed by the summer. In around April, I could see my lower left wisdom tooth starting to show from the gum. It hurt a lot. After a week or two, that stopped hurting. Now recently, mt lower right wisdom tooth is doing the same thing. My jaw has been feeling a little stiff and hurts when I open wide. Now, my mom is supposed to be scheduling an appointment for me to get my wisdom teeth pulled after finals, which is in like 20 days.
Avatar n tn I had 2 lower wisdom teeth, and one was removed a month ago. Those teeth would ache when I developed sinus pain from allergies. It was a dull ache, and the sinus pain was much worse. Now the side where the tooth was removed is very painful when my sinuses act up. It hurts into the jaw, and I need pain meds. Is this normal?
Avatar n tn I have a hard knot/lump on my lower right jaw bone behind my wisdom tooth which is still there. I noticed it yesterday and it makes it hard to close my mouth or eat on that side and it's painful. I just wanted to know if anyone might know what it could be. I have jaw pain from time to time which makes my wisdom tooth ache because I have TMJ, so my doctor told me last year. If anyone has any ideas let me know.
Avatar n tn danielle, it can also be decayed teeth, or impacted wisdom teeth trying to find room to erupt. you should see a dentist for a complete exam, xrays, and treatment plan.
Avatar m tn a few months ago all four of my wisdom teeth began to break through my gums, also my right lower jaw popped horribly loud one day and there has been pretty bad pain ever since, I'm going to see a dentist as soon as I get insurance from my new job but my question is could either of these be causing the palinopsia and strange visual symptoms I've been having like after images and trails behind moving objects and an increasing sensitivity to light, all of this started at the same time, I ha
Avatar n tn They sent me home and three days after the extractions, I noticed a very hard bump in my lower right jaw about an inch from my mouth that was hot and tender to the touch. I called them and they said it was probably muscles that were just tense and to keep taking my pain meds. I now am off of my pain meds and over the past couple of nights the bump as slowly started to gravitate up my lower right jaw line toward the back of my jaw.
Avatar n tn Both of my wisdom teeth have already come in, upper left and lower left. He said that lower left wisdom tooth has come in rotated, i've looked and it's slightly rotated, it isn't fully aligned with my molar teeth. He said if i don't want to get them removed, it is okay but he adviced me to get them removed. Should i get my lower left wisdom tooth removed or both of my wisdom teeth removed or i don't need to get them removed?

Avatar n tn Hi, ever since lasst Thursday I have been feeling pain in the lower part of my neck, back of jaw and on the chin. The worst thing is the chin, I cannot seem to be able to close my mouth now without my chin muscle being scrunched up and bulging. Is it to do with my impacted wisdom teeth because my lower left is rotated 90 degrees and is pushing into the next molar but it hasnt sufaced yet. Are my jaw muscles weakened?
1025061 tn?1252454030 I am now experiencing a drawing sensation and itching pain in my lower jaw where the wisdom teeth already appear to have come in slightly (I can only see a little of ONE cusp popping out of the gum on each side). Nothing's swollen - nothing red or raw looking to indicate, at least, obvious infection. But I'm no dentist. Here's the catch: 2 months ago, went to my dentist for a consul regarding bridgework.
786396 tn?1379366191 The pain is from the same side where the wisdom teeth are coming in. The pain is always in the same location. The pain is not spread out. It's more of a pin point. Located at a muscle/arch/nerve that if you put your finger in the corner of your mouth you can feel it naturally. The pain is located at the end of the arch/column. thank you doc for replying to my questions . please let me know what u think.
