Avatar f tn I begged and begged for relief and i finally was prescribed vicodin and that helps ttemendously but honestly what was better relief than the pain killers was the chiropractor!! I still take pain meds occasionally when even going to the practor doesnt help and being this late in pregnancy it only gets worse cause more problems keep getting added to the reoccuring ones. Anyways, i can completely relate and i am very sorry you are feeling this way.

503444 tn?1210341950 I suffer from lower back pain occassionally and I was trying to find out if it was kidney related. However, I noticed that after drinking plenty of water it goes away. I do not feel pain sitting down but it is mostly when I try to get up that I can not not get my back straight quickly. I came to conclude that some allergy to some foods causes the tendons or ligaments to stiffen up causing disconfort. Tolerance to some foods may be limited and the symptons can come in different forms.

Avatar m tn I used to be in gymnastics and I got injured by bending too far forward while doing stretches. Now, 5 years later, my lower back hurts and it hurts to touch the place where the first or second bones are from the bottom. I've tried physical therapy and there I learned exercises that help relieve the pain temporarily. Is this lower back strain or something more serious? Is it a ligament that has been stretched too far? I'm afraid I might have damaged the spinal cord.

630685 tn?1222305426 I started feeling the pain wrap around to my lower back and buttocks on that side. I saw my OBGyn for my annual exam and told him about it. He prescribed me Naproxen to take for a week. Within a few days I noticed an improvement, and by the end of the week the pain was gone. The problem is, within 2 days of finishing that prescription, the pain was back with a vengence. It hurts all of the time, and especially when I move. Sometimes I need to limp when I walk.

It's a nagging, painful, sore back ache that radiates from the middle of my lower back to the outsides of my hips. It reminds me of my period back cramps I used to get. I know my body is stretching and muscles are changing- but I'd just like to hear from someone else that's feeling the same.

Avatar f tn Another great thing for back pain are essential oils. There is one out called deep relief by young living essential oils. Works really well. Also ask ur Dr about some stretches you can do. I have 10 days left and between the stretches, oils and hot baths they haven't been so bad. Sleep w at least 1 pillow between ur legs...i sleep w one up higher and one by my ankles. Hot flashes...dress as cool as possible and have a fan nearby.
Avatar f tn Im pretty certain its siatica or syatica (not quite sure how its spelt). The pain starts in my lower back and shoots down. I cant have a sports massage as laying on my tummy isnt gonna happen and any stretches my bump makes difficult.
Avatar n tn Try a heating pad and as odd as it sounds go for a short walk and do some back stretches. My lower back aches all the time and doing those things helps. Also my husband lightly massages relaxing oils on my lower back.

My tummy has been cramping a little but i havent had a bloody show and at my last doctor appointment (at 35w6d) i was only half a centimeter dialated and begining to thin.... could i possibly be in early stages of labor? My next appointment is in 2 days so i can talk to my doctor then but until then any suggestions to help me stay comfortable?
Avatar f tn I found with my first that getting on all fours and rocking back and forth helped quite a bit and also a heating pad on the lower back helped. I would also recommend some stretches to ease up those tight muscles it really helps. Best of luck!

I fractured several vertebrae in my back which caused me to be bedridden for a few months and that caused several muscle adhesions and internal scarring that didn't heal properly .
