Avatar m tn I was dx with sarcoid last month while I was deployed to Iraq. Prior to the dx I had a lot symptoms to include hypercalcemia and mild hyperthyroidism and lost 35lbs in 4 months. I'm now on a small dosis of prednisone a 2.5mg daily, everything is back to normal now and I gained 5 lbs in 3 weeks, I'm very anxous and nervous all the time and I have slight pain on my neck, sometimes muscle twithing and cramps.
Avatar f tn u really shouldn't try to lose weight while pregnant. but if u get bad morning sickness u may not have a choice. try to keep ur weight the same or if it bugs u talk to ur doc. good luck dear!
Avatar f tn My average healthy weight is 60kg and I'm 161cm tall, now I'm 75kg which is overweight. I just finished the 3rd month yesterday. Is there a way to lose weight without hurting the baby? Cuz it's not healthy for me to stay in this weight while I'll gain 12kg more while pregnancy. Nothing hard or hurtful, walking is hard here since I'm in saudi Arabia and the heat reach 40c. I'm looking for healthy diet that won't hurt the baby if I do it.
Avatar f tn I was wondering if any of you have successfully lost weight or stayed the same while pregnant. They only thing I plan on doing as far as losing weight is to eat healthy foods and not to overeat like I tend to do and to also excercise. I know if Im prego I shouldnt overdo myself on exercise but light exercise and walking wont hurt! :) I just would like to minimize the chance of getting gestational diabetes or preclampsia while prego! :) Thoughts, opinions, concerns, etc are all welcome!!!
Avatar f tn Idk your not supposed to lose weight in pregnancy. I mean sOme ppl get really sick and help it but you really shouldn't lose just to lose. You should talk to your doctor about it.
Avatar f tn hello, I am a female soldier whom is currently serving in Afghanistan, I normally have combination skin that would occasionally have eczema breakouts, but while deployed and having to bath in chemically treated water my face has took a turn for the worst. I have dry patches that have darken my skin in some places, Inching, redness, cracking, and even pain. I can’t find a moisturizer to stop the drying, and what can I use to heal the dark patches. How can I keep my skin healthy?
Avatar f tn Diet aids such as Releana are not the best way to lose weight. While you might lose a considerable amount of weight on it, which might be nice, the chances of gaining it all back, once you go off the med are extremely high. I can't think of anyone I've ever known, who would stick to such a "diet" for any length of time.
Avatar f tn s common for woman who are overweight to lose weight while pregnant..
Avatar f tn I'm 25 and between 5'7"-5'8". I've always been 'small' but since my husband has been deployed (going on 9 months now), I've lost an unacceptable amount of weight. My father and brother are also small-framed, though tall. I now weigh 105lbs (starting weight at the beginning of the deployment was about 120lbs), and as you can imagine, at my height, that's on the verge of 'sickly' looking.
Avatar f tn My husband is currently deployed and I been feeling depressed. I blame it on hormones that I have been feeling needy this week. I know he can't be here for me but have been feeling down. Are there any mommies in similar situations? Maybe I just need assurance that I'm not going crazy alone.
Avatar f tn Yes it's normal to lose weight while pregnant. I lost weight the first trimester and my doctor didn't worry as long as baby is growing. Just eat healthy and stay active! !
Avatar f tn It's also possible that 166 was not an accurate weight or was due to water weight. Not that gaining 6 lbs in a week is impossible, but it's unlikely. That would require an extra 3000 calories per day. Extra. I doubt you're eating 4500-5000 calories per day. :) More likely, you were closer to 161-162 last week aside from water weight, so the 163 this week is right on target.
29837 tn?1414534648 I saw the primary a week ago regarding this problem. His take, as well as mine, is the result of stopping the dreadful pain medication Oxycodone abruptly, which was prescribed for me after my spinal surgery. As my ideal weight is 185, I now am 173. However, that's one pound more than a week ago. What this means, is that I'm not losing anymore weight, but have gained one pound. This tell me it's a gradual recovery from the withdrawal I'm going through. I know losing 15 lbs.
5147790 tn?1364304489 t that hypothyroidism, insulin resistance or PCOS, all of which can cause weight gain and/or make losing next to impossible. Good luck and keep posting.
Avatar f tn So if the net calorie consumption is less than need for basal metabolic function and burning of calories is reasonably good, you will start losing weight. You can get many charts online which show you how many calories you burn with a particular exercise. You can use this as rough guideline to help you with an exercise regimen that does not tire you out. These online sites also help you choose from a wide array of food items to build up your calorie need.
