Avatar n tn This is based on symptoms, findings and problems you’ve encountered with prior weight and fat loss efforts. We determine what’s been preventing you from losing weight, then we create a plan around your schedule and budget. This ensures that our programs are effective for your goals and manageable for your lifestyle.
Avatar m tn It is best for you to not try to do this on your own, but to enroll in a weight loss program. Effective weight loss programs focus on one’s total life style, of which a regular exercise program is an essential component. Many employers provide such programs for their employees. One such is the following program provided by the healthcare institution, National Jewish Health in Denver Colorado. You may wish to visit the following web-site to get a better idea of how one such a program works.

Avatar n tn way. What I ask of anyone on this forum is if they know of any particular weight loss programs or diet medication that have either proved to be non affective or have created complications, whether they be physical or psychological, so I may reference them. I would like to add that I understand that obesity is a serious issue, and good luck to those who are losing weight for reasons pertaining to their personal health.
Avatar n tn I have been suffering from anorexia for a little bit over 7 months, but have been slowly trying to increase my intake of food over the past two months. I was still losing weight and my doctor told me that if i lost any more weight, she would have to send me to hospital.
2093824 tn?1332990119 I have always had trouble losing weight. I exercise regularly but after I lost my first 40 pounds the weight just won't come off anymore. I really need a diet supplement that works. Or just something that works. I'm sick of being disappointed with everything. I literally just can't lose any more with diet and exercise alone.

1253186 tn?1304783542 I do have a belly on me, so I was wondeirng if anyone had any preference on to which program would work the best to help tone and flatten my stomach along with losing weight/dropping pant sizes. And I was wondering how to try to get rid of my double chin (its not a huge double chin, but enough where I hate my picture taken :( )Thank you and any advice or tips to any other workout program is greatly appreciated!!
1987892 tn?1326690776 I have tried several different programs before, including weight watchers, Nutrisystem etc where I bought their foods. None of it worked for me. What worked for me was learning to make my own foods. And the biggest helpful tool was a food diary. I ate like normal for a day or two and tracked everything, I had no idea how badly my eating habits were.
Avatar f tn I have gained quite a bit of weight especially in my arms!! Do any of you mamas know what fitness/workout programs are safe during pregnancy??

Avatar n tn Your weight will just go up and down forever. The best way to lose weight is just to eat healthy, drink a lot of water and work out. For a lasting result you should lift weights, don't eat junkfood, snacks, but just eat healtier, for example fruit, vegetables, eggs low fat quark etc. Good luck.
Avatar f tn t had this before and was wondering if it had anything to do with me losing weight and exercising, maybe flushing out fat secretions or could this be something else. Just wondering your thoughts on this. Thanks.
Avatar f tn Hello, my name is Ari and I am 21 years old. I weight 145 lbs and stand roughly 5'1". I am looking into different home workout programs that I can do on my own time. I work as an EMT and my schedules are not flexible to fit in any gym programs. My question is have any of you tried the Les Mills Pump! program either at home or in the gym? What did you think of it? Did it work like they say? Do you have any other suggestions for me?

Avatar n tn My nicotine cravings are now under control, (I quit cold turkey so there is no nicotine substitute), so I have gone on a low fat, low calorie diet and I am participating in an exercise program of low impact aerobics. My problem is I am not losing weight. I have read that nicotine withdrawal slows your metabolism. Is this true and will I ever be able to lose this weight? Will my metabolism return to normal? Thanks, G.C.
Avatar f tn When I say unable to lose weight trust me I hired a personal trainer and worked out 5-6 days a week as well as kept a weekly diary following popular weight loss programs like The Fat Smash Diet and Weight Watchers...I was told I must be doing something wrong when I know that I wasnt. I just saw another endo the other day who told me that it is a "great mystery" why people with goiters have a hard time losing weight. He also recommended a diabetic diet.
Avatar f tn and I am under tremendous stress...and I probably always will be. These conditions are the same as when I was losing weight steadily in the beginning. The only thing that is changed is that as I have lost weight, I have striven to be more active and burn calories to offset my lowered weight. My shameful stats are 49 , 5' 1" 196.6 lbs. I am burning around 2500 calories daily give or take 100 according to my bodymedia fit band, and I am taking in approximately 1390 calories of food.
