i have this neck back and chest pain do you think i have because i take lipitor 40 mg pleae let emknow .

t say why. And I guess he also has some issues with cholesteral so the doc wants him to take Lipitor which we thought was hard on the liver. I guess his "numbers" for his iron are not high? So a big deal was made of this at first and now he tells him he can eat what he wants but not to take vit c or milk thistle, and to get on the Lipitor. getting a little confused.............

My husband was prescribed generic lipitor about a year ago. Prior to this he was advised to use Slo Niacin. When he began the lipitor, his dr. did not tell him to stop taking the Slo Niacin. He has been taking them together daily. Last week he experienced more frequent, loose bowels, but did not feel "sick"..This went away and he started to have muscle pain in the chest and upper back and his legs..that began 3 days ago. The muscle pain is preventing him from getting any sleep.

I had to come off of Lipitor after one week due to severe muscle and joint pain. My mother had moderate pain after starting Lipitor. We were both encouraged by our separate physicians to take coenzyme Q10 with the Lipitor. While my pain continued, my mother's pain has almost completely disappeared.

Hello , I’ve been suffering from lower left chest pain , under left breast, it’s pretty chronic and gets worse with Heavy meals or position. I also experience cramp like symptoms in that area like a soreness. I have bellching episodes , shoulder pain and just discomfort. I’ve had ECG , cat scan , thallium stress test , X-ray , echo cardio gram , ultrasound of the entire area. I’m not what rude todo. Was given gabpectin , I take aspirin , and Lipitor. Anyone else have something similar?

Hi all, My father had a triple by pass surgery about 18 months ago, and has been taking Lipitor, Perondopril and Atenolol. He's been getting abnormal hair growth on one side of his leg and back and chest since he's been on Lipitor, and Perondopril. Hi, I have same problem with good diet I have total 265, and LDL 196 my doctor prescribe me Lovastatin reduce the risk of heart attack, blood vessel blockage or chest pain. When i took lipitor my cholesterol went up Also I take turmeric, garlic,avoid stress. The adjustment in medicine has not help my blood pressure or chest pain, in fact the chest pain has become worse. I did have a mild stroke 4 years old and a TIA 2 years old. I am taking 10mg lipitor, and 2.5 mg amlodipine, and 5mg benazipril, and 325 aspirin. My blood pressure this morning was 110/64 slightly lower than the 122/68 which it has averaged for the last five months. I stopped the lipitor 3 days ago and the pain in my legs has stopped and feet are some better. I go to the dr. soon so I will tell her. I have stopped the lipitor before for a few days and gotten back to normal.

s interesting. I was diagnosed with high cholesterol and was given 20mg of Lipitor. A few weeks after I began a consistent regiment, I was in the E.R. with BP 153/101. And it happened again 3 months later, then again after I stopped taking it for 6 months and started again. 4 weeks after I started taking it regularly after the long stoppage I was back in the hospital after for high blood pressure, palpations, chest pains.and headache.

I was originally on Simvastatin 20mg at night for a few years but I have missed here and there. my Dr changed me to Lipitor 40mg the other statin medication and since starting it one night ago, I've experienced some pain in my chest...not so much on the right side. is this normal? My bad cholesterol was evelevated which is why I was changed. but can't I just exercise or does taking the medication have to happen to bring it down?

I just recently had some angioplasty done to some arteriea, also a stent a couple months ago, i am having lots of pain in my left chest, arm and also in my upper back... one should not still have pain afterwarda...what should i do..i take nitro and vicadin for the pain...

My husband was recently taken off of Lipitor and has been experiencing daily headaches. He's not a headache person. Is this a common thing when coming off Lipitor? Also, I have read that you should stop it gradually. Is this true?

I do have CAD but when I first had those symptoms they were in the middle of the chest. I exercise daily and watch my diet. I am on plavix,asprin, lipitor, and blood pressure meds. I don not believe that this is heart related, symptoms are lower than the chest and when I exercise I do not have issues. Any thoughts........thank you !!!

I have esophagitis and get left side chest pain, shoulder pain and sometimes back and arm pain. I have had an echo, EKG, cardiac enzymes, Chest X-ray etc. All they have found is the espohagitis. At least that has been my experience. I, too, never have any heartburn.

Is there any correlation between Raynaud's, Lipitor, and coronoary artery disease???? I have been plagued with blanching of my fingers, they then turn dark purple and painful rewarming. Having been diagnosed with microvascular disease, is this symptom of greater concern??
