lip

Avatar m tn On the right side of the lower lip, the skin felt and looked different. It felt like it was a chapped lip, with the pulling when I moved the it, but the skin itself didn't tear. It also looked slightly white-ish, as if it was covered with something of that colour, and when I pulled on the lip it looked oddly compared to the rest. After a day or so, it evolved into an abrasive like texture and there was a slight uncomfortable feeling. Then a slight spot in the middle of the white-ish appeared.
Avatar n tn Then I put on some Neosporin antibiotic cream (the kind you use for cuts) and then on top of that Iuse Neosporin Lip Health. This comes in a day time tube with SPF 20 and a nightime tub that has no SPF. I just slather it on. The next day my lips felt so much better. You should try it, it's fantastic. My lips are almost back to normal.
Avatar f tn it itches there are little non-colored bumps around them, AND the little red bumps on my upper lip. I feel like this might have something to do with my birthcontrol shot I got last week? SOMEONE PLEEASE HELP!!!!
Avatar m tn I had raw flaky skin on my upper lip whilst on Oral Isotretinoin therapy. I healed it with Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream which is a bit expensive, but a tube lasts a long time.
Avatar f tn well if you two did nothing but avoid sex any time he had anything going on genitally, you'd be 90-92% likely each year NOT to contract hsv2 from him, regardless of the sex act. since he's on daily suppressive therapy with valtrex, your risk is cut in half!! If you throw in condoms for sex too, you are down to a 2-3% risk of contracting hsv2 from him each year. Overall your risk is fairly low without a lot of precautions.
Avatar n tn Oddly enough, I was using the KIEHL'S products on my face (moisturizing cleanser, herbal toner, make-up remover, eye treatment, regular moisturizer with SPF, and lip balm with SPF)during the period when the first signs of pigmentation occurred so I discontinued and noticed that my lips are slowly getting back to normal. To add I'm not on medication, birth control (was using shot 2yrs ago for 2 yrs.
Avatar m tn you also can keep a prescription for antivirals on hand to start at the very first sign of a cold sore about to start too to ward off a full blown cold sore or at least keep it from lingering so long. do you put on a good spf lip balm before going outside in the sun? do you avoid things like whitening and "complete" tooth pastes and the boldly flavored chewing gums and toothpastes? sometimes they trigger cold sores for folks too.
Avatar n tn I cut my upper lit a tiny bit with my pinky nail yesterday, and woke up with this today. It's already spread from my top lip to a tiny bit on my bottom lip, and I'm keeping my hands away from my mouth now. I've also recently had a cold and was blowing my nose a TON, so it might even be related to the kleenex? Who knows for sure, but it normally goes away in a few days for me and no one can notice it but me anyway, so it's just an obnoxious thing for me.

For something with a tiny bit of color, I like these lip tints ( http://www.amazon.com/C-Bigelow-Mentha-Tint/dp/B003T7HNAG/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1293158038&sr=8-5 ).
Avatar f tn Thousands of people are suffering with Brachioradial Pruritus, including myself, in my tenth year. It is the most maddening disease and I have learned of no cure. Ice is the ONLY thing to provide relief, and acupuncture has not been effective for me. I have tried all the expensive prescription and steroid creams to no avail. I am losing sleep, and my sanity, b/c it keeps me up all night. I am staying out of the sun, but every year, this persists until December or January.
211940 tn?1267884866 It is an extreme ache down to the bone, that is unbearable at night. Even with pain medicine and sleep aides, I get about 2-3 hours a night. Finally, I went back to my own doctor and asked if he could help me, he said yes. He sent me for an MRI, and then to an Orthopedic Surgeon.
Avatar n tn The small blisters develop and immediately itch intensely, which is how I know they're there. They have a clear fluid inside, with no puss. When I scratch them in my sleep or when they break, they often weep a little amber colored liquid. Also, when I scratch them, more tiny blisters will develop around the original blister, signifying an infection. These broken blisters often leave (little open sores) which can be difficult and slow to heal.
Avatar n tn I had the same problem with itchy little bumps with clear liquid on my thumb. What worked for me was soaking my thumb in baking soda with warm water for 10 minutes. I did that a couple times a day for about a week and then it went away.
Avatar f tn I've tried all the anti-itch creams with no luck. The only thing I've found that relieves the itch is a high spf sunscreen. I'm using coppertone kids 50 spf. It has always worked for me from the beginning since my wife figured it was sun related. I deliver a newspaper 7 days a week and that arm is out the window 5 hours a day. I hope this helps someone.
Avatar n tn One more thing- it may or may not be related but yesterday morning I woke up with a dry, red, sore patch of skin around the left corner of my mouth. When covered up with makeup, it's not so bad, but still notciable and sometimes itchy. I put on some E45 cream today, as I thought this would help, but I think it made it worse as it started stinging and burning almost immediatley. I never had this before, only since the problem has returned to my eyelids. Related, perhaps?
