Common Questions and Answers about Vaseline lip therapy spf

lip

Avatar m tn Since I regularly protect the skin against the sun, I used a SPF lip balm. At the time, I threw all of my lipsticks away anyway and bought a few new ones and just applied with my finger to avoid contanming the lipstick. The thing was, the spot (whatever it was) started disappearing. The more I kept the lip hydrated the more it disappeared. If I stopped, it came back. I tested without the zyclover and it was the exact same thing.
Avatar f tn Through lots and lots of experimentation, I found out I am allergic to almost every brand of lip balm including Burt's Bees, Carmex, Blistex, etc. After that happened all hell just broke loose, my lips began getting tiny tiny red bumps which also had this yellow liquid seeping out. I would put Aquaphor (one thing I was not allergic to at the time) on it but it looked like it'd only get worse. so I just let it dry out and that seemed to help.
Avatar m tn Well on my upper lip not my lip but my upper lip i got raw flaky red skin i had it for about 7 months now, I tried everything too heal it and it seems like nothing works? Even topical gel,When i take a shower it gets dry real fast. All i can do is use moisturizer too help it. When my skin heals it cracks and falls off, It does the same routine every time for the past 7 months. And it does not ITCH or anything and its not eczema!
Avatar f tn I hope this doesn't double post. I've tried lip balm, and Vaseline to no avail. It has been 10 days and it won't go away. I guess I'll try a hydrocortisone cream, but since there is no itching I don't know if it will work. I guess I can only try it and see.
Avatar n tn Yesterday (Monday) it was the same and I applied vaseline lip therapy which is in a tube. Monday nght i went to sleep and today I woke up (Tuesday) to real chapped and dry lips. Like it stung and it hurt to even move my lips. I washed my face and applied protreloum jelly. It sorta help with the stinging but it didn't. I went online and got freaked out by most of the things and I steralized my tooth brush and then exfoliated my lips.
Avatar n tn and it still happens!!! Arg!! So, the dermatologist gave me this eczema medicine that is the consistency of vaseline that literally burns the **** out of my skin and makes it itch a million times more!! So, now I am at an ultimate complete loss for words, my frustration level is high! Just out of curiosity, how many of you guys have some form of red hair and fare skin?? B/c I have Irish in me, and I have a red tent to my hair and am definitely fare.
Avatar n tn I tried different cordizone creams and UV light therapy. They helped a little but not much at all. So I tried Chinese herbal medicine and a tip from a friend. Both of these work really well! Burdock tea: Find it in Chinese medicinal stores. Just boil it and drink it a couple times a day. You'll notice the itch dissapear right away, and the bubbles start to disappear after a few days. I soak my hand in warm water and vinegar: 1 part vinegar to 10 parts water for 20 minutes before bed.
Avatar f tn I've tried all the anti-itch creams with no luck. The only thing I've found that relieves the itch is a high spf sunscreen. I'm using coppertone kids 50 spf. It has always worked for me from the beginning since my wife figured it was sun related. I deliver a newspaper 7 days a week and that arm is out the window 5 hours a day. I hope this helps someone.
