Avatar m tn My first inital OB lasted for about a week (pretty short) and I was prescribed with Acyclovir 400MG and Lidocaine 2.5% and Prilocaine 2.5% cream from my local Plant Parenthood. After my outbreak..I felt very normal. No tingling sensation, no itching, zero symptoms. That was during March. Since early April, I've been feeling a lot of tingling and itching on my genitals and buttox. I did catch a cold earlier, but now I am over it.
Avatar m tn Hi, I'm prescribed a lidoderm 5% patch, which is basically a patch infused with lidocaine. It helps with the nerve/muscle type pain I have in the lower left leg facing outward. By itself, for bad pain it wouldn't be worth the money, but I'm prescribed Lortab 10/650's ( a narcotic ) and the two used together seem to help lower this pain better than either one treatment alone.
673999 tn?1226935279 Have your doctor write you a prescription for Lidocaine 2 % Gel ( called "Urojets")...this is a cartridge with topical Lidocaine that is injected directly into the urethra. Very commonly used by urologists as a local anesthestic both in the office and in the surgical setting, and I found it to be extremely helpful for IC. I couldn't have survived without it.
Avatar f tn I did a lot of research on the internet and found out there are two numbing creams LMX 4% Lidocaine, (available behind the counter) and EMLA 2.5% Lidocaine, 2.5% Prilocaine which requires a prescription. I bought both, and actually tested them on myself at home, by sticking insulin needles in myself after 2 hours of leaving the numbing cream on, and it works!
Avatar f tn I received my shipment today of ocean potion and rec. by another person on this site. I found it to provide instant relief of itching. It's temporary but still I would recommend it since it is so cheap. Much cheaper then Sarna. Huge bottles 20.5 oz each, like $3.50 a bottle. I got 2 shipped by wal mart since it's not available in Phoenix at wal mart or walgreens. Cost me $12 with tax and shipping. It's worth having in the arsenal, good for riba or incevik.
Avatar m tn try topical anelgesic cream it does wonders for mine, if that does not work ask your sdocto for somethin containg lidocaine
Avatar f tn this could be due to irritation or something else. Regardless, I would consult with a doctor. Something like a topical ointment such as lidocaine (numbing) can help incredibly.
Avatar n tn I looked it up and it's a topical spray with an antimicrobial ingredient (benzethonium chloride) and a pain reliever (lidocaine). I don't see anything that would interfere with actual clotting mechanism in the body as a whole. The best thing to do is ask your doctor or pharmacist before using this.

Avatar f tn Hello and welcome to the forum. Thanks for your question. This must be very frustrating. You've not found anything skin related? Neurological itch does happen. Here's an article that is very interesting on the subject. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3139924/ This article talks about neurological itch and that often, the place that is itching is not where the abnormality is that is causing the itch. They will need to determine where it is coming from.
Avatar n tn Topical symptomatic treatments such as topical lidocaine or benzyl alcohol (Zilactin) may help relieve symptoms. Using an antiviral medication may shorten the duration of cold sores if started very early. If you experience very frequent bouts, your doctor may prescribe an antiviral medication as a cold sore treatment or to prevent cold sores.
Avatar n tn Many arthritis sufferers are in a panic over the shortage of Voltaren gel (diclofenac sodium gel) and I get why they are worried. Voltaren gel is a prescription topical anti-inflammatory gel used for all kinds of arthritis pain: rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and osteoarthritis of the knees, hands and hips. People who have stomach issues from taking anti-inflammatories by mouth can bypass that problem with Voltaren gel.

Avatar f tn Hi, 2 nights ago I was wiping after urinating & had such severe pain I jumped & trembled. I felt the area and on the inside of the labia majora I had a bright red nodule the size of a pea. I got a mirror & looked and lightly felt it. It was solid & movable under the skin but the pain was insane. It woke me up twice & I ended up putting the topical lidocaine for my chemo port just to get some rest. Well, this morning it hurt even worse, any movement & instant pain.

Avatar f tn You could Try some lidocaine gel although I'm not sure it's OTC...I just dont remember...Look for an ointment that's topical and containing any kind of numbing agent. Try to leave it alone so a scab can form and that will help. Breathe through your mouth. Try to get an appt sooner. Go to an Urgent Care and they can prescribe a topical anesthetic. Take Motrin or Aleve. I can understand why you used the bactine; we will do anything when we're in pain...

Avatar n tn She would get little anal fissures so our family doctor wrote us a script for a compounded ointment but what really helped give her some relief was the Lidocaine topical gel our doctor prescribed for her. I put a small amount around her anus which created a numbing effect so that she would stop holding back when she had to go. I guess doctors use Lidocaine for numbing before different procedures and my doctor said it worked wonders for hemorrhoids, too.
Avatar f tn Oh and do not accept ultrasound "treatment".. It always makes things worse.
Avatar m tn i agree, however it is extremely painful, if you can get your hands on some topical lidocaine,i believe its in some polysporin and let it numb a bit you may not feel it so bad.
Avatar n tn I recommend going to be seen and getting tested for vaginitis. Yeast and bacterial infections vaginally can cause rashes like you've described as well as trigger your herpes to reoccur too. This isn't acting like a typical herpes ob and it doesn't sound like just herpes so you need to follow up on it.
