m clear of Gonnorrhea and Clamydia however I tested positive for Mycoplasma Hominis and Mycoplasma Genitalium. I thought these couldn't be acquired by oral sex but I guess they can. I'm now under treatment with Clarithromycin 250mg twice a day for 7 days.

It was quick blood test and came out negative. So far I had totally no symptoms of any of these Stds except the pain and swelling of the left testis and pain in my lower back and groin in same side. The pain is mild and it come and go so not consistent.

If you are a male, and after a sexual encounter, you have developed symptoms consistent with chlamydia and gonnorhea, and all commonly tested for STD’s are negative, demand that you be tested to mycoplasma genitalium. If you have been through the gambit of doctors, from urologists to infectious disease, and no matter the antibiotic thrown at you, you never get better, demand that you get tested for mycoplasma genitalium.

2014 - severe urethral discomfort, pain, burning, frequency, urgency, No discharge. Chalmydia, mycoplasma hominis, ureaplasma, urinalysis/culture, all negative and normal no RBCs or WBCs. I was put on 2 weeks of levofloxacin 500mg once a day.
NOV. 2014 - symptoms decrease substantially. No urgency/frequency, just urethral pain at the start and post urination with burning, put on another 3 weeks of levofloxacin 500mg once a day for the urethral discomfort.

One thing though he did right is that he prescribed me a 500mg a day Levofloxacin for week and it almost instantly helped my condition. Although he was a quite friendly doctor, I felt I was more informed than him on STI’s given my research and thanks to this forum archive database.

I have been experiencing ongoing issues for a good long while now and have read comments from other members (particularly BadgerMG) regarding Mycoplasma Genitalium. I have been tested (by NAAT/PCR) for this infection specifically several times. I have been careful to make sure I have not been on any antibiotics and have taken first void urine after waiting at least 5 hours (that's about as much sleep as I get) only.
I still had lower abdominal pain so i booked an appointment to an STD clinic, they did a test for chlamydia, gonorrhoea , ureaplasma, mycoplasma genitalium but everything came back negative. I also had a vaginal culture which showed Klebsiella pneumonia and got cefuroxime for that. Between the testing and the last antibiotic was 4,5 weeks.

Careful with Levofloxacin. Sometimes the side effects aren't worth the benefits. I took Levofloxacin to cure a bout of pneumonia. Sure enough, the infection cleared up, but my joints ached so bad I could not raise my arms to take a shower, put my clothes on, bend to tie my shoes, get in and out of a car quickly. Strength training and jogging was out of the question for a month.
Is 500 mg of Levofloxacin every 48 hours suppose to make a 70 year old diabetic dialysis patient drowsy, fatigued, emotionally disturbed, and delirious?
Is it okay to stop the continuing dosage after seeing the affects of the first dose?
1) Zithromax (4tablets 1 shot)

The urine test and culture test which also included a test for Mycoplasma/Ureaplasma came back as negative. I am not sure whether this test included a test for Chlaymdia of Gonorrhea. Anyway i continued with the prescribed antibiotic course. During the course I masturbated once and the discharge was painful. This is the first time i started getting a burning sensation at the tip of my penis and during urination.
