Went to the doctor because of odd symptoms maybe like a month and a half after i contracted the disease and tested positive for chlamydia, negative for everything else. Chlamydia has never shown resistence to the macrolide antibiotics such as azithromycin nor the tetracylines such as doxycycline. Clindamycin has no effectiveness for treating Chlamydia. Cipro is iffy for both Chlamydia and Enterococcus infections. If you have been through the gambit of doctors, from urologists to infectious disease, and no matter the antibiotic thrown at you, you never get better, demand that you get tested for mycoplasma genitalium.

Gave Urine Test again for gonorrhea and chlamydia. Test is negative. Given order for urine test for U. Urealyticum and a Kidneys-Ureters-Bladder Xray. Get the results of both Xray and Urine Culture on Monday 8/25.

I was recently diagnosed with epididymitis. This was one via physical examination and an ultrasound. I had awoken that morning to a slight swelling of the right epididymis and sensation in my right testicle that I would not consider painful. My main concern and cause of anxiety is could this have been caused by an STI? My only sexual encounter was 4 months previous in which I received unprotected oral sex.
Gyn prescribed Levofloxacin (Tavanic 500mg 1/d for 14d). I was infected with chlamydia before that and was treated with Doxycycline (Vibramycin 100mg, 2/d for 14d), but I had an uncomfortable light sensitivity reaction to it. At the time I had 2 different partners.They both took Roxithromycin (Rulid 300mg 1/d for 14 d), both said they prefered Rulidx1 than Vibramycinx2/d. I know for sure that partn2 completed the treatment, don't know about partn1,(who gave me the infection).
The problem with blood tests for chlamydia is that they don't tell you exactly which chlamydia bacteria you are positive for, and there is more than one. One causes pneumonia, for example.
I can't advise you to treat or not, but perhaps your wife should be tested.

I went back for a re-test on the last day of the doxycycline, but still came back positive for chlamydia. So currently I’m taking a 14 day prescription for Levofloxacin. I’m on my 6th day. Still no symptoms. No pain after urination, no discharge, and no testicular pain.
My questions are:
1.) Should I be concerned since this is my third antibiotic treatment for chlamydia?
2.) Am I able to drink coffee? I read on some sites that I shouldn’t drink coffee.

No distant online source can give as good an answer as evaluation by a knowledgeable clinician after direct examination. It would have been good for you to have chlamydia and gonorrhea testing before you were treated with levofloxacin (Tavanic) -- maybe that was done, but you don't say so. Had one of those been positive, however, it would have had to come from someone other than the escort, given that sex was condom-protected.
I went to urologist on the 1st day and he gave me cravit levofloxacin for 5 days hence am still under medication.
I told him that i had unprotected sex last week (6 days before i went to doctor) and he suggested me to take that medication first and perform another urine test afterwards.
Based on own research, there are 3 main possibilities:

-Urethritis

Last month I was diagnoses with epididymitis (left one). Almost 3 weeks before I had protected sex with prostitute. Test for chlamydia and gonorrhea came out negative and the urine test was clean. I started with antibiotic (levofloxacin 2 weeks). I tested 2 days after starting with antibiotic for Syphilis. It was quick blood test and came out negative.
About 4 months ago I had protected sex with a sex worker and the condom broke (big mistake). The next day i wake up and my foreskin is swollen like 5x its normal size all the way around(I start freaking out). This subsided next day but then 2-3 weeks later a burning sensation appears at the tip of my penis and has been constant now for 4 months. I have had 2 very mild dribbling discharges and a big one after completion of leprofloxcin.
s that september and the tests came back fine. just recently i tested positive for chlamydia and i took 4 pills for it last week but funny thing: my urine is still cloudy! is this something i should be worried about because its been cloudy on and off for sometime and im worried that my reproductive organs may be at risk. i've been practically drowning myself in water and it only goes away a little bit. what's going on?
