Thank you Vance. I agree with you. For the reason you've stated, I'm completely boggled myself. "How did I get epididymitis?" I'm asking myself and the forum.
I should clarify and also update. For one thing, I think we first need to agree that something caused my epididymitis, right?
Penicillin, ampicillin, cefotaxime are a similar drug class Cephaloporins and penicillin type drugs, and levofloxacin and cipro are also in their own drug class (quinolones) while vancomycin is a diffierent drug class.

I went back to the doctor and he gave me levofloxacin for tonsillitis but my throat is still sore on the 8th day on levofloxacin. In september i had a lung infection which i used levofloxacin for and i was coughing up greenish phlegm and it worked for that. I did smoke blunts for that time in september but I've stopped smoking weed for about a month now, and everytime i would smoke weed i would get itchy.
I have been on the levofloxacin for 5 days now and the testicle ache has gone and come back, along with the irritation under the head. Still no discharge excepting during one bowel movement. My significant other has been suffering from mid month spotting from a low dose pill for months, however this month it is heavier and longer like a full fledged period. Any ideas on what is going on? The only thing I can come up with is a false negative for chlamydia on the initial test.
I read a lot that staph infection is much more common in people with hiv but they are also prevalent among HIV negative people. I am currently taking levofloxacin for treatment and had a shot of ceftriaxone. The culture test showed that the staph was sensitive to cipro so my doctor said levox will cover it and it is actually stronger than cipro, is he right? Plus, how did this staph infection cause this discharge?
It's red and burns like crazy, I'm seeing Army doctors and we all know how great they are. I have tried creams as well and still no luck. The doctors keep telling me alot of times they will never find out what the issue is and you just have to deal with it.
In general, if antibiotics active against an STD microbe are present at the time a person is exposed to an STD, the person is less likely to get infected. On the other hand, if a person gets an STD and then take antibiotics effective against that organism, the antibiotics make make a test negative.

I immediately went to see an urologist, after telling him everything, he gave me a shot of Ceftriaxone at the center vein of the right arm and prescribed me two pills, Azee 500mg and Levofloxacin 750mg, 5 tablets each over 5 days after lunch(azee) and before sleep(levofloxacin).
Today is the second day of my course and the burning sensation while urinating has reduced from before but the eyes still stay red throughout the day.

However, about 4 days later I started feeling a burning and itching sensation on the inside and tip of my penis. I immediately went to a urologist who told me that he doesnt think its an STD and I have nothing to worry about, he only prescribed Tavanic for me. I told him that I have a partner (the escort was a stupid thing) and asked whether I should refrain from having sex with my partner. He said no, as long as I take one of the Tavanics, we can proceed as usual.
I'll post my story in chronological order for better understanding.
AUG 2014 - protected vaginal/oral sex, followed by burning/discomfort/itching in urethra. Given Azithromycin 250mg for 3 days all cleared up.
Late SEPT. 2014 - unprotected oral sex with a girl who told me later she had dental work prior. This was the last exposure I had.
OCT. 2014 - severe urethral discomfort, pain, burning, frequency, urgency, No discharge.
t by the timeframe of last genital sexual contact, and that I took BOTH doxycyclien and levofloxacin which are effective against Chlamydia trachomatis. But I just want to ask here to see what you guys think about the symptoms related to my testes.

Yes i dont hv any itching on urethrea except on the tip of my penis.
To be more precise, i (male) had unprotected vaginal and oral sex last week and as remembered she had "stomatitis aftosa" on her mouth.
My initial urine test result shows proteins and increasing leukocyte. I informed this to my urologist and he said yes i got infection and just continue to finish up cravit levofloxacin.
Problems urinating and a little bit of stinging/burning sensation while doing so. I had plenty of STD tests taken (some of them twice) and everything except one turned out to be negative. Ureaplasma parvum was found.
My doctor was pretty sure that my symptoms were probably not related to it and he also added that it can be found from healthy people as well. Anyway a 10 day doxycycline treatment was started.
I did not tell him the truth about how this might have occurred (see later) and he thinks it could have ben caused by any number of different reasons. With that in mind he prescribed me 10 days of Levofloxacin to clear any bacteria.
The reason why I did not tell him is because it is very very embarrasing story and I am in an Eastern European country where the Urologists just cannot be trusted - they are well known to misdiagnose in order to get more money out of you.
t even know what an std (I TRIED TODAY BEFORE i LEFT THE MAIN TOWN) is let alone what medicines, absolutely nothing for std, as I am working here for 4 weeks now and need your help, as I reasearched the proper medicines on the way here to make sure before I left my country the doctor had prescribed the right drugs, he gave me Tavanic levofloxacin(which I left at home) and have now realised that it is from the fluroquinolones family and not safe during pregnancy.
