levaquin tendonitis treatment

I already have tendonits (both wrists) and everything has failed including physical therapy and steroid injections, i was referred to surgeon now as nothing has worked, have an appoint in November. Should I take the levaquin if i already have tendonitis? The sinus infection is bad saw ENT friday and put me on levaquin. I know us chiarians have sinus issues and i've had previous surgery so have ongoing issues. I've taken levaquin before (last winter).

I need help please. My doctors had me on Levaquin for 4 years straight. I believe it's destroyed most of my immune system. Since being off Levaquin for the past few months, I have had chronic bronchitis and pneumonia since. My muscles and body is in agony. I now have to use oxygen all the time, day and night. The recovery times from surgeries are greatly extended now. I'm having another back surgery in a few weeks.

I was given the drug Levaquin at the hospital I was diagnosed with Tendonitis 3 months later. I saw an orthopedic surgeon, I had a MRI which show I had Tears in my Tendons and Tendonitis. I had surgery for my Tendonitis. Now After the surgery the pain is worser, I get tingling, sharp shoting pain from the shoulder to my elbow to the forearm. Afetr the surgery he said I did not have Tendonitis.

Same here. Took Levaquin not knowing about the tendonitis side effect and developed a severe case in my right achilles tendon that has never gone away, and it's been over 2 years. All my tendons are also so tight now that I injured my right elbow tendon 6 months ago simply lifting a medium rock, and it still hurts. No one warned me about the side effect...I'm still angry I wasn't informed before I took the medicine.

I took Levaquin unfortunately last week to treat a bacterial infection. The infection is gone but now my legs are tingling all the time and are in pain as well. I am wondering how long these side effects last and if there is any way to make them go away sooner. I am also having trouble sleeping now. I wish I knew this before taking this!!! Good to see his symptoms improving. It could a side effect of levaquin, as this can cause swelling and pain in the joints, this is more so if he is prone for joint/tendon problems such as tendonitis and bursitis. It should resolve once the medication is stopped. Discuss these symptoms with your consulting doctor he may change the dose or the medication. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Went to the Dr on 10/21, sent me for a urine test, but he prescripbed levaquin 500mg /day for 7 days because symtoms sounded like gonorrhea or chlamydia. Have now taken two of the levaquins, and the discharge has stopped, still some burning upon urniation, but have developed a dribble of urine after voiding. Is this dribble normal with gonorrhea/chlamydia, and will the levaquin clear the infection?

Going to pcp this morning. Just finished levaquin for 3 weeks, didn't seem to touch my sinus infection. Feeling pain in my back like i did last year when i had pneumonia. So tired. Face/eyes swollen, ent said try claritin, so took that this morning and f/u with ent next week. Need refills of lortab and compazine from pcp, feel like a druggie.

Panacing i took 1g of Zpack orally then got tested two days later I took another 1g pack. the results came back negetive. Still having the same feeling I took 500mg of Levaquin. Then I read that it was no longer recommended for GC so i took a 250mg shot of Ceftriaxone. Is this enough to kill Chlamydia and Gonorrhea? Could it just be Urthetitis and would these meds take care of that too? Need answers please.

My doctor prescribed prednisone, Symbicort, and also wants to give me Levaquin. I am over 55 years old, and I also have pre-diabetes (6.0 A1C - and am on metformin), and high blood pressure being successfully treated via Benicar. Everything seemed to be ok but a few months later the prostate problems came back and I was put on a month of Levaquin. I finished the course of Levaquin about a week ago and my meatus is still red and I am concerned that if I did have either of these infections that they may have reoccured. Is there a chance that the initial treatments for my girlfriend and I did not clear up the infection completely? This occurred while I had a sinus infection which was treated with levaquin and prednisone. The tendonitis was diagnosed by my PCP, who recommended reduced activity. After about 3 months of non-recovery, I saw an orthopedist who started me on physical therapy. The physical therapy was non-effective. Around this time I developed another sinus infection. It was initially thought to be pressure headaches, and a long 3 week taper of prednisone was prescribed.

I have had left Achilles tendonitis for 3 months now and I am told cold treatment is only good for reducing swelling and pain and should only be used for first couple of days. Because it restricts the healing effect of what small blood supply there is to the tendon. I am now 3 months with this condition and my left (back) ankle is twice as thick as my right side and I am right handed/footed.
