Avatar n tn Is it like saying just taking longer birth control pills? What are the side effects? What are the benefits? Has FDA approved? Where i can search more about Yaz? Avatar n tn The problem is I know too much about ovarian cancer, I have a business that helps cancer patients deal with the appearance related side effects from cancer treatments such as hairloss etc, and ovarian cancer is soooooooooooooooooooooo scary... My tumor is solid but they do not know what it is, the gyno says he feels 97% its not but 1/2 percent is too much when dealing with ovarian. So your in pain,,,,are you walking???
162948 tn?1205256292 I HATE Mirena! I must be the "rare" side effects group expect now I'm finding tons of people like me. After insertion, I bled for the first THREE months straight, which after a month I called the doctor and he said it sometimes happens. From then on it's been an on going mess. I will have a period then not again for a month or two, then twice in one month! I have to carry supplies with me all the time.
203589 tn?1267478770 possible side effects include double vision, strabismus, ptosis, infection. Will cause a myopic shift in vision so if you’re already myopic you’ll be even more myopic afterwards PPV and pneumatic retinopexy: head positioning may be necessary, vision will be terrible w/gas or silicone oil inside the eye.
Avatar n tn In fact, I'm not sure that I'd recommend anyone on Propulsid to use this procedure, since that medication has such a history of negative side effects. You may feel rough and sore over the liver area for a couple of days afterward, but this procedure really helped me considerably. If you get a great many "stones" out the first time you do this, you may need to repeat again in 2 weeks.
Avatar n tn All in all how long would you say after the injections do all of the side effects last? bruising swelling soreness etc. until everything feels and looks normal? sorry for all the questions. I am just so nervous and this is the only website I have come across where people are going thru this right now. You are really my make it or break it decision. Thanks again!

Avatar n tn The procedure I would like to learn about is for skin tag removal although my doctor said to just leave it and live with it since the pain is so excruciating that he would not want me to go through it. I just want to know from people who had this done and to learn just how extreme the pain is to remove a post hemorrhoid skin tag. I believe I'll be getting the banding done in 6 months upon my return visit appointment with the doctor.
Avatar n tn I switched because I found I was having side effects within the past 6 months or so - same thing happened with my sister - no side effects until a couple years in... weird. What I was experiencing was night sweats occasionally (my sister was getting them every night - and couldn't handle it - so she went off) It was annoying but not bad. Then I noticed a decrease in sex drive, and a few other things that i feel may have been associated, but I'm not sure.
Avatar n tn THE DOC TOLD ME IT WILL BE EXTREM PAIN AND THAT I MAY HAVE THE ANAL CANAL NO GET TIDER AND BE DIFICULT TO EVACUATE - HE SAID IT IS ONE OF MOST COMMUN SIDE EFFECTS TO SKIN TAG REMOVAL- NARROW OF THE ANUS ... I CAN NOT HAVE ANY DIFFICULT TO PASS STOOLS OR MY RECOTCELE WILL REOCUR, SO I STILL WILL REMOVE THIS TAGS, AS I AM AN EXTREMELLY SEXUAL PERSON AND I M DIVORCED AND CAN NOT GO OUT AND HAVE SEX BECAUSE IT IS SO EMBARASSING TO HAVE THIS SKIN TAGS HANGING IN THERE ...
Avatar n tn I had one laser treatment but it was a freebie and did nothing (SmartXide Dot laser) I've done all this for well over a year and NOTHING has improved. I look like a 40-year-old with an 80-year-old's arms. I live in Canada, so have more opportunity to cover my arms than someone living in Florida and cover them I do. I am embarrassed by them. I feel shocked when I look in the mirror. So ladies, I empathize fully. If I find a solution, I will post for you all.
Avatar n tn If I had not gotten such thorough information, I think I would have been rather scared. I've never heard of the other side effects you mention. Good luck, I hope your experience improves.
Avatar f tn they did a biopsy shortly after i did this post, and nothing specific came back. i've had it treated w/ medication (pills and topical) and also laser and it'll seem to look a little better for a few days but then i'm almost to square 1. it just will not seem to heal. just today they decided to do a second biopsy, because they also find it odd and worrisome. they did diagnose me with rosacea b/c in general i am very pink with capillaries close to the skin.
Avatar f tn I had surgery just over 2 weeks ago and the best thing ever. The lump used to hurt especialy at night in bed when I would sleep on my side. It also looked ugly and like another boob. My surgeon did an excellent job with the scar so far it looks okay. I would say if it hurts and you are concious about it have it removed. My sister also had both armpits done.
Avatar n tn ) that'll be a killer Like seeker01 I've had prostate tests (DRE), twice now with no signs of the dreaded PC or prostatis, I've just been for a cysctoscopy today and have no issues on that side either. I have been doing some very long distance cycling recently which the consultant felt may have brought this on (this info you wlll find on the net).
Avatar n tn so I looked at one of the online med help sites (like this one) and it said that one of the side effects is UTI, Kidney infection...So who do we believe? Anyway...I hope you got answers and a fix for your scare. If I remember this post I'll come back and re-post what my Dr. says. Take care all :) and you Chel4.
Avatar n tn I wonder if laser hair removal is an option. At this point, I'd go for that if it would stop these painful lumps.
Avatar n tn and to make it worse alot of the medications for those problems have some kind or other sulfate-ish ingredient in them. Sorry guys cheer up everything will be ok. Look at the bright side at least you will smell good! Oh and this, what im about to tell you, i think is the worst part of being allergic to sulfate. So, i live in a big city in Florida thats always cutting corners to save money, called Jacksonville. I have only been here for a little over three years.
Avatar n tn So, finally, in November 2006 he referred me to a Pain Management Dr. who tried the Sacroiliac Steroid Injection. It helped my right side for 1 week, my left side for 2 weeks. He has now asked me to think about an implant of the spinal cord stimulator. I've heard good and bad things about this implant and it frightens me. I think I may try to get a 3rd opinion, actually a 2nd opinion from a Dr. at the University of Chicago.
Avatar n tn I've been reading these posts for about a week now, and finally decided that I should post since my side effects are still happening. I had the h1n1 on 11/14 and the regular flu shot the week prior. My tingling started on 11/27. At first, I thought I had the flu or some kind of virus, because I had cold chills and a little nausea w/ it. But then i had the same thing happen about 5 days later. It would come and go w/ a few good days in between. Now I am tingling everyday.
Avatar m tn I do wonder about the clenching, though, because I clench very VERY hard on that side. Sometimes, the side of my face goes numb from clenching. Other times, my ear or eye starts to hurt. It seems reasonable to me that tensing all the muscles on that side of my face might irritate the optic nerve? But then, I'm no doctor.

Avatar m tn If anyone with these symptoms wants to get in touch and we can question each other about causes/effects/ways of preventing etc in an attempt to work out what the hell it is (or at least how best to live with it), then feel free to drop me a message - hover your mouse pointer over my username at the top of this message and choose "send message".
Avatar n tn I am starting to really freak out that there is something serious going on and no doctors want to take the time to figure it out. I am starting to wonder if perhaps this is a side effect of some kind of mold I cant see. I need a "Dr.House"....is anyone out there that help us poor women.
940391 tn?1255758976 I, unfortunately, had some side effects from the chantix and had to quit with the nicorette gum, but I know of others who have been able to give up smoking with chantix with good results. My third CT Scan showing similar results with no changes from the prior two CT Scans, which is a good thing. The pulmonary doctor said I need just one more CT Scan at the end of this year and I will be done with having to schedule scans every 4 - 6 months.
Avatar n tn He wears glasses only for distance and has never required any other surgeries. He is very intelligent showing no side effects from the brain bleeds. His only-on going treatments are physio and occupational therapy for low muscle tone which may/may not be linked to prematurity. When I found out I was pregnant, I consulted the doctor who performed the ablation his advice was - terminate! I'm glad I didn't.
