The laser is fairly easily performed and generally safe and without it you coulf face much worse loss of vision. Make sure you are seeing a retinal specialist ophthalmologist.
Avatar n tn Hello, There are 5 types of laser hair removal systems. These include pulsed light, Nd YAG laser, diode laser. Alexanderite laser and ruby laser. This depends on the skin type and varies from patient to patient. I suggest you to get an evaluation done from a dermatologist for the skin type and then depending on that, laser hair removal can be decided.

162948 tn?1205256292 I had the mirena in for about 13 months & had it removed end of august to try to get pregnant. I had thought it was more immediate. I found out it can take 3-6 months for your cycle to return. my husband and I are pretty bummed because we would have removed it earlier (or never had it put in). Anyway, I bled a few days after removal (probably due to the removal) & then nothing until a couple days of brown spotting at the beginning of this month.
Avatar m tn It is sometime possible to have facial spider veins treated with sclerotherapy (injection of a substance that makes the vein collapse on itself), but the more common, and generally better option for spider veins on the face is laser removal. Make sure you find a board certified doctor (usually a plastic surgeon or dermatologist) with plenty of experience in this area.
Avatar n tn If still the symptoms persist then chemical peeling or laser removal can be done. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar n tn I’m upset in part because the supposed reason for the detachment was early scarring and rolling over a larger tear even in the face of extensive laser. Despite this known evidence of PVR risk which the surgeon knew about, he did scleral buckle with lots of cryo and no vit. to remove potential seeding cells. Now PVR continuing in same area (which he chose to not tell me about), ERM, and CME.
Avatar n tn face, neck, elbows, hands, knees, eyelids, you name it. Awful. Vein and joint damage too. I remain interested in knowing whether anyone else reporting skin problems here was prescribed a quinolone within the year or so before they surfaced. These drugs attack collagen, elastin, and apparently send free radical formation into overdrive, all of which contribute to aging. These effects are all documented; wish I'd known, not to mention my doctor, before I took the meds.

Avatar n tn The procedure I would like to learn about is for skin tag removal although my doctor said to just leave it and live with it since the pain is so excruciating that he would not want me to go through it. I just want to know from people who had this done and to learn just how extreme the pain is to remove a post hemorrhoid skin tag. I believe I'll be getting the banding done in 6 months upon my return visit appointment with the doctor.
Avatar n tn Has anybody gone through rectal/anal skin tag removal? I had one removed by my doctor in his office. He used lidocaine (6 shots that were unbelievable painful) to numb the area and cut it off and cauterized the area. I'm having a rough time - I feel like I have the worst hemorroid flare up going on right now. I'm taking colace and fiber supplement, drinking plenty of water and began using the Desitin a few days before they recommended I start.
Avatar n tn This is interesting. On the candida - it worked wondering on my face (flat warts, tiny, very few). I still get them on my face but they just disappear in a month - its pretty amazing in that sense. It also doesnt really hurt much and there is no scarring I dont think I want to try candida on my foot because we have already tried it and Ive heard it doesnt work well on plantar warts.
Avatar n tn Hi, Glad to see that we are all keeping up with what is happening to each other. Makes me feel better to go through it with someone else. My pain is mild today and I only notice it when I touch my abdomen. The swelling and bruising is much better, also. My upper abdomen is so weird. Right below the bra line, I have these "fat hunks" under each breast. It's right over those ribs you can feel. That's the only way I can think to describe them.
Avatar n tn I had sex in the morning but there was no blood when urinated afterwards (don't know if there was anything in sperm). Did anyone of you face this? Is it beginning of what you guys are going through now? If that is the case and all of you have been to doctor who are clueless about this then may be we should start analysing it ourselves. Put all our eating habits like foods, physical habits (work nature) to see if there is anything common etc.
Avatar n tn I wonder if laser hair removal is an option. At this point, I'd go for that if it would stop these painful lumps.
Avatar n tn I look awful, as I'm very pale and the contrast between my pale face with the random red patch near my mouth and my dry, puffy eyelids makes me resemble something out of a horror film... :( Any ideas of what the problem could be or how to fix it? Or has anyone else suffered similar symptoms? All help would be greatly appreciated. :) Alex.
Avatar f tn I am undergoing surgery for the removal of axillary breast tissue under my right arm. The surgery is scheduled for 20 Aug 07. I was briefed throughly that the casuses could be hereditary, due to lactating, etc. I noticed mine shortly after nursing my youngest child (23 months) and it has been bothersome ever since. I have gone to the doctor so many times and they always tell me maybe it is my lympnodes or cancer.. I had a breast ultrasound done and there is no trace of cancer.
Avatar n tn What could be the possible reasons for vaginal bleeding when a woman has not had her uterus or cervix for nearly 12 years? In 1994, I had a total hysterectomy (removal of my uterus, cervix, & one ovary). My cervix was removed because of pre-cancerous tissues. I began experiencing a vaginal discharge in Nov. 2005 after recommencing sexual relations after abstaining for six years. Also in Nov. 2005 I noticed old blood coming from the vaginal area (it was brown) and a slight smell.
Avatar n tn My itching is on my lower legs usually on the shin or calf and the itch seems to track down the vein. The itching/scratching is usually in the evening-early morning, very intense and will sometimes end with blood. I found that I was able to get a little relief when I was a smoker. When it would wake me up in the middle of the night I would go have anywhere between 1/2 and a whole cigarette and it would dull the itch to where I could go back to sleep.
Avatar n tn I also think she injected into one of the past lumps that had not dissolved totally. My bruising was horrible - I think she went through a vein with the injection - guess it's hard to know where they are. I'm definately on the "every 4 week" schedule now. I waited 4 weeks this past time and could definately see great results on my abdomen. I think 2 weeks is just not enough time for my swelling to go down.
Avatar n tn I found the source of my pain...the posterior hardware (pedicle screws and rods). Surgical removal (09/07) of the hardware released that Lumbar triangle of pain. I still have some hip and knee pain which is a result of L4 and L3 bulging in reaction to the hardware and associated muscle tightness, but hope that over time it resolves itself. I took a risk, my Neurosurgeon gave me a 50/50 chance that my condition would improve or remain the same.
Avatar m tn I tend to shove my face into a pillow or press my fingers firmly on my eyelids until it goes away. I wonder if there is already a term for it, or if this is some new kind of neurological disorder. It's nice to know we're crazy though!

Avatar m tn I do wonder about the clenching, though, because I clench very VERY hard on that side. Sometimes, the side of my face goes numb from clenching. Other times, my ear or eye starts to hurt. It seems reasonable to me that tensing all the muscles on that side of my face might irritate the optic nerve? But then, I'm no doctor.
Avatar n tn My fingers and face was swollen with water. My periods would last sometimes the entire month and were super heavy. I tried several different pills and nothing stopped it. Immediately when starting Yaz I stopped bleeding. I peed for like 4 days straight and lost all the water weight. I also get migraines with my period, and Yaz hasnt seemed to help them at all. The first 3 weeks I had horrid migraine. The most noticable change though is that I am extremely emotional.
