Avatar n tn Hello, There are 5 types of laser hair removal systems. These include pulsed light, Nd YAG laser, diode laser. Alexanderite laser and ruby laser. This depends on the skin type and varies from patient to patient. I suggest you to get an evaluation done from a dermatologist for the skin type and then depending on that, laser hair removal can be decided.
Avatar n tn I suspect you may have diabetic related bleeding or perhaps a branch or central retinal vein occlusion - just guessing. The laser is fairly easily performed and generally safe and without it you coulf face much worse loss of vision. Make sure you are seeing a retinal specialist ophthalmologist.

Avatar n tn Hi, Spider veins or telangiectasias are small superficial purple and red blood vessels which are commonly found on the leg and the face. A patient with spider veins in the face will usually choose to have laser therapy rather than sclerotherapy. Laser treatment may cause minor bruising that usually improves within a week. Two to four treatments may be required to achieve your desired result. Laser energy causes your spider veins to coagulate and shrink.

Avatar f tn Hi, I had a mole on my face and I did a mole excursion, a small brown spot grew back, and I did a mole laser removal surgery to get it remove. However after the laser removal surgery, my mole is not disorted and grown, it doesn't seem to be a tissue scar cause it is dark brown and a raiser lump has occurred. Is this an indication of something? Can I get mole removal again using laser or excision or it would keep coming back? Thanks!

Avatar f tn Hello, I am 36, I recently had laser hair removal on my face. I got the full beard done with great results. At first I didn't see a whole lot of difference, but I had microderm abrasion done one week later to open up my pores. Now when i use a razor to shave all the hair that was lasered just comes right off with the razor. You can tell its dead hair because it doesn't pull the skin from the razor. 3 weeks later, my face is very smooth! I only had one treatment.
Avatar n tn HI - I would recommend you looking into laser hair removal. I have started sessions on my face and my results have been amazing! My hair is dark and coarse and this combination tends to have the best results. Don't knowe where you're located, but I recommend Laser Nurse for those in the New York City area. Good luck!

Avatar f tn I do not want to explain to her why mommy is in there. I had my first Laser Hair Removal Treatment on the 27th of June, next appointment is August 2nd and this time they will use numbing cream!!! I'm worried that this will be ongoing for the rest of my life because of the PCOS. My question is has anyone gone through these treatments and if so what was your success do you still do touch ups?
Avatar f tn I have very pale skin and was informed that I was a perfect candidate for laser hair removal on the face; however, the skin on the upper lip is far too sensitive for laser hair removal, whatever your skin tone. I have spent a fortune on creams such as Clinique's dark spot corrector with little effect. The issue is that the damage caused by the laser is so deep no topical solution is effective.
Avatar f tn I decided to receive laser hair removal on my face about a year and a half ago. The technician said that if I shaved I would get better results. Now I have all the little indentions as well as little while bumps from shaving my upper lip. They are extremely noticable, they told me they will go away with time and microdermabrasion. It has been some time and I have received about 8 microdermabrasion treatments.
Avatar f tn My husband had laser hair removal about two weeks ago to his beard. He developed folliculitis. The folliculitis is now cleared up and the hair on his beard is very patchy. The skin under the hair seems to be lighter than the skin that has no hair. Is this b/c the skin without hair is still healing and will blend in eventually or is it going to stay this way. Also, this was the first treatment. Will hair grow back in these spots that have no hair.
