Laser eye vein removal

Common Questions and Answers about Laser eye vein removal

Avatar f tn Is it a good idea to get laser vein removal done to my upper eyelids to remove dilated blood vessels?
Avatar n tn I suspect you may have diabetic related bleeding or perhaps a branch or central retinal vein occlusion - just guessing. The laser is fairly easily performed and generally safe and without it you coulf face much worse loss of vision. Make sure you are seeing a retinal specialist ophthalmologist.
Avatar n tn Hello, For about 3 years, I have had a single large vein or vessel on the white of my eye, extending from the corner near my nose to the beginning of the iris. It is dark and red and makes me self conscious. In the meantime, I have been treating my eyes for blepharatis. Temporary use of Tobradex, Warm compresses every night, frequent use of Soothe and Systane drops to increase tear film, and intensive use of oral Omega 3.
Avatar n tn Can you tell me the results of your one ovary removal surgery? Have you had recurrence of endometrioma? Are you on oral contraceptives?
Avatar f tn Dear briddanee, Seek the care of an eyeMD to determine the diagnosis and whether removal is indicated. Dr. Feldman Sandy T. Feldman, M.D., M.S.
162948 tn?1205256292 I had the mirena in for about 13 months & had it removed end of august to try to get pregnant. I had thought it was more immediate. I found out it can take 3-6 months for your cycle to return. my husband and I are pretty bummed because we would have removed it earlier (or never had it put in). Anyway, I bled a few days after removal (probably due to the removal) & then nothing until a couple days of brown spotting at the beginning of this month.
Avatar n tn Just read an interesting article about this subject and there are actually two eye doctors currently performing this eye whitening and vein removal surgery in the U.S. It’s kind of expensive unfortunately, but might be worth it for some of us that are really getting down about the matter: http://hubpages.
Avatar f tn 10 days after surgery, eye went dark, told i had blood in it, went to surgery, had an unexplained retinal vein occlusion, (told i had bad luck again) fixed occlusion, air bubble. Was seeing great 20/40. 3 weeks later, had distorted vision and a black cloud moving over my eye, things went dark. Was told i had PVS(lots of scar tissue on the center of my eye), and that it pulled my retina off. (told again i have REALLY bad luck). Needed another surgery.
233488 tn?1310696703 It is important for him to follow up regularly with his ophthalmologist for a dilated retina and peripheral retina exam. He should see the Eye MD immediately with sudden increase of floaters, flashes or loss of peripheral vision. You need to ask he surgeon specifically about activity. As a generalization return to golf and tennis would be allowed by most surgeons after 7-10 days.
203589 tn?1267478770 this time another vitrectomy, laser and also a lensectomy, cataract removal with no lens replacement yet, and inserting silicone oil in my eye which stays for at least 6 months. I feel like I am living in a horror movie.
Avatar n tn If still the symptoms persist then chemical peeling or laser removal can be done. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
233488 tn?1310696703 This is not an exact science and the margin of error is +/- 0.50 but INCREASES with high myopia (long eye) or high hyperopia (short eye), eyes with previous RK, lasik, injury or additional eye diseases. 3. Typically the targeted post op refraction is between 0.00 (not needing glasses for distances of 20 feet (6 meter) or more) and -3.00 which has great vision for tiny detail at reading distance 13-14 inches. Any difference of greater than 1.
Avatar n tn Had a PVD and multiple retina tears just shy of 7 months ago. After 3 rounds of laser over a 6 week period I was passed over to a retina surgeon at the local university teaching hospital who placed an encircling scleral buckle and did lots of cryo.
Avatar n tn Incidently, my eyes have improved hugely over the last 24 hours after the use of some eye drops... I'm thinking it might have been blepharitis as the eye drops I used were supposed to heal it. Thanks again. Alex.
Avatar m tn Sounds really weird but I dont have a clue what it could be related too. If I had to discribe the feeling, imagin someone holding a pin to your eye and slowing moving it forward, your reaction would be to look away, thats the best I can discribe it. Hope you can help.
Avatar m tn They don't know much about it, there is no treatment, it is rare (but perhaps many people aren't being diagnosed right), lots of floaters in the affected eye are common. I actually have it in both eyes but didn't notice the blind spot in my left eye, but it is active in my right. Have any of you ever had a mfERG this would diagnose if this is actually a retina or optic nerve problem? Ask your opthalmologist about it. I was misdiagnosed with optic neuritis for 9 months.
Avatar n tn The procedure I would like to learn about is for skin tag removal although my doctor said to just leave it and live with it since the pain is so excruciating that he would not want me to go through it. I just want to know from people who had this done and to learn just how extreme the pain is to remove a post hemorrhoid skin tag. I believe I'll be getting the banding done in 6 months upon my return visit appointment with the doctor.
Avatar n tn Has anybody gone through rectal/anal skin tag removal? I had one removed by my doctor in his office. He used lidocaine (6 shots that were unbelievable painful) to numb the area and cut it off and cauterized the area. I'm having a rough time - I feel like I have the worst hemorroid flare up going on right now. I'm taking colace and fiber supplement, drinking plenty of water and began using the Desitin a few days before they recommended I start.
Avatar n tn I had one laser treatment but it was a freebie and did nothing (SmartXide Dot laser) I've done all this for well over a year and NOTHING has improved. I look like a 40-year-old with an 80-year-old's arms. I live in Canada, so have more opportunity to cover my arms than someone living in Florida and cover them I do. I am embarrassed by them. I feel shocked when I look in the mirror. So ladies, I empathize fully. If I find a solution, I will post for you all.
Avatar n tn Hi, Glad to see that we are all keeping up with what is happening to each other. Makes me feel better to go through it with someone else. My pain is mild today and I only notice it when I touch my abdomen. The swelling and bruising is much better, also. My upper abdomen is so weird. Right below the bra line, I have these "fat hunks" under each breast. It's right over those ribs you can feel. That's the only way I can think to describe them.
Avatar f tn they did a biopsy shortly after i did this post, and nothing specific came back. i've had it treated w/ medication (pills and topical) and also laser and it'll seem to look a little better for a few days but then i'm almost to square 1. it just will not seem to heal. just today they decided to do a second biopsy, because they also find it odd and worrisome. they did diagnose me with rosacea b/c in general i am very pink with capillaries close to the skin.
Avatar n tn Viagra helped when it came on the market. Retrogressive ejaculation followed in 2001; it may be as a result of damage done during removal of kidney-stone although doctors seem to disagree on this. Found blood when masturbating (but none in urine) earlier this year. Saw doctor and had pta test done. It was normal. I went though hell while waiting on result. I was almost sure I has cancer. The condition cleared up. It has now recurred and there seems to be more blood than the first time.
Avatar n tn I wonder if laser hair removal is an option. At this point, I'd go for that if it would stop these painful lumps.
Avatar n tn What could be the possible reasons for vaginal bleeding when a woman has not had her uterus or cervix for nearly 12 years? In 1994, I had a total hysterectomy (removal of my uterus, cervix, & one ovary). My cervix was removed because of pre-cancerous tissues. I began experiencing a vaginal discharge in Nov. 2005 after recommencing sexual relations after abstaining for six years. Also in Nov. 2005 I noticed old blood coming from the vaginal area (it was brown) and a slight smell.
Avatar n tn My itching is on my lower legs usually on the shin or calf and the itch seems to track down the vein. The itching/scratching is usually in the evening-early morning, very intense and will sometimes end with blood. I found that I was able to get a little relief when I was a smoker. When it would wake me up in the middle of the night I would go have anywhere between 1/2 and a whole cigarette and it would dull the itch to where I could go back to sleep.

940391 tn?1255758976 At first it was decided to repeat CT scans to keep an eye on them but his primary dr. thought it best we see on oncologist. He had a lung biopsy last month and were relieved to find out it was not cancer but nocaseating granulomas. We are not sure exactly what is causing them, he has ulcerative colitis so it could just be a result of his body's inflammatory process. We are going back to the pulmonologist later this month to see what we need to do from here.
Avatar n tn This is all very eye opening! I just started Seasonique a week ago Sunday. I had started my period on Saturday and it was very light. I had missed my period the month before so was concerned I was starting menopause early. The Dr said no, my harmone levels were normal and I should start the pill on Sunday. I woke up in the middle of the night Sunday and started the worst period of my life. I didn't realize someone could lose so much blood.
