Avatar f tn Just remember, that it will still leave a scar. You can't get away with no scar at all. Another option is to get a tattoo to cover your scars. Just a few things to think about.
Avatar f tn this will heal normally in time. Hyperpigmentation Removal treatments are used to eradicate darkened areas of the skin which may result from hormones, sun damage, injuries, skin-type characteristics, medications and more. Avatar n tn The clinician has expressed surprise at the evidently strange way my skin reacts to the laser treatment. First, mild but unremarkable redness. Then after about two days I experience an incredibly prolific outbreak of tiny whiteheads on my face and neck. After the whiteheads go away (I have to shave for work, unfortunately), my skin takes on a very coarse texture. Eventually, my skin reverts more or less to normal, except for the blotchy appearance of my beard, which is to be expected.

Avatar n tn Hi, Infections and color changes in the skin are some of the most frequent outcomes of surgical methods for scar tissue removal. Common methods to make it less visible include dermabrasion, chemical peels, laser skin resurfacing. Dermabrasion, and chemical peels are for removing the top layers of ski and replacing it with fresh, new skin which lies below, so they may not be effective to remove scars at a particular site.
Avatar m tn Of course laser scar removal can be used on the genitals to treat scars since laser removal is commonly used in removing warts caused by HPV. From my personal experience, laser therapy is not bad at all and involves very little pain after a session of laser treatment although the pain might be a little annoying when the treatment begins (it feels like bacon grease that occasionally splashes up and hits you in the wrist when you're cooking; nothing too painful).
Avatar n tn Now I am left with a pink coloured hole with raised dark skin on sides. How a can I get this scar removed? whom shall I cunsult? will application of silicone sheet be helpful?
Avatar n tn The treatment for post inflammatory hyperpigmentation includes various skin creams like hydroquinone, azelaic acid, corticosteroids, tretinoin cream and laser treatment. But they are available by prescription. If it still persists then you can go in for laser treatment, Chemical peeling or microdermabrasion. Avoid picking, harsh scrubbing, and abrasive treatments unless prescribed by a dermatologist during this period.
Avatar n tn Or is it raised due to there being left over mole deeper in the skin? Also, if I leave this scar alone, and just keep applying vitamin E oil/cream and using my Silicone Strips, will it flatten and revert to the normal skin tone overtime? I'd appreciate it if anyone took the time to respond, I need some opinions.

Avatar f tn The doctor advised mo to used Catrix Ointment because it will help to flatten the skin and gave me a scar gel removal. But It is Sept 10,2010 and I had noticed that there's no improvement at all. Can you please suggest some procedure on how to remove the scar? and yet, black spots just appeared as you can see in the picture below. I dunno what to do.. The skin their had raised at the same time. Can anyone help me? I am so desperate.
Avatar m tn I suspect the doctor cauterized the mole instead of lasering it because I smelled burnt skin during the procedure. Does laser mole removal produce burnt skin smell too? I had a flat mole, but I don't know why he still chose to cauterize it. As a result, I got this bad looking dent on my face and I am really sad. Before the procedure, he told me that laser mole removal would not leave scar afterward. Thus, I assumed he was going to remove the mole by laser.
Avatar n tn Hello everyone, i got a hair laser removal i got burnt both legs now it's healed dark brown some are pinkish. is my skin will go normal after the post laser burns? please advice because it's really frustrating.
Avatar n tn Dr., When I choose a place to perform my laser surgery for hair removal what should I look for as far as procedure/equipment? Some offices use different types of lasers and some use a carbonite "salve" to be applied beforehand to help "tag" the hairs and then again some do not. How is anyone to know what the differences are and which ones are better?
Avatar f tn however, the skin on the upper lip is far too sensitive for laser hair removal, whatever your skin tone. I have spent a fortune on creams such as Clinique's dark spot corrector with little effect. The issue is that the damage caused by the laser is so deep no topical solution is effective. I fear that the hyperpigmention will worsen over time, which terrifies me as the situation is already distressing enough.
Avatar n tn mederma can only help make the scar softer. the only way to fill a pitted scar is to have collagen or one of the many variances to it as a skin filler injected below the surface of the mole.
Avatar m tn Laser acne scar removal is one treatment option for shallow scars from acne. It does not work as well on deep scars. In laser surgery for acne scars, a hand-held laser is used to burn off the scarred skin cells. Fresh new skin cells then replace the burned-off ones.
Avatar n tn Otherwise you can go in for glycolic peals, laser treatments and pressure dressings. Severe scarrings may need skin grafting by a plastic surgeon. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar n tn The mole was removed fine but when the scar was fully healed, underneath the layer of skin are dark spots. Its almost as if the middle of the scar is dark brown. What is this? Is it the mole growing back? Any help would be appreciated.
Avatar n tn Hi, A skin specialist would be able to help you. You could try demelanising agents such as hydroquinone till then. You would not need a plastic surgeon surgeon or laser specialist. The doctor would not be cutting the scars. Post us if you need any further information and let us know about how you are doing. Regards.

Avatar n tn I am not familiar with Rejuvi tattoo removal. The circumferential scar band that you describe could be treated in a number of ways, depending on the age of scar. These techniques run from the application of silicone gel sheeting to steroid injections. Surgically the tightness and indentation could be partially relieved by scar revision with Z-plasties. These alternatives should be discussed with your surgeon.
Avatar m tn I reached puberty a few years ago and a few hairs started to grow out of the scar, so i keep shaving the hairs off, im not too woried about the hairs as i will buy a laser hair removal kit when i move out of my parents house, to avoid embarasment. I want to know how i got this scar and if there is anything that will reduce its look. I have a theory that my penis might of been stuck to my scrotum when i was born and a doctor cut the skin connecting the two, could this be true?
Avatar m tn Various methods used for mole removal are excision and cauterization. Although laser removal has been tried for moles, it is not usually the method of choice for most deep moles because the laser light doesn't penetrate deeply enough. You can get this mole evaluated from a dermatologist and get it evaluated. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar f tn You did not indicate what technique was used for your initial tattoo removal. Use of a laser is the most popular method. It require multiple sessions and may not completely eradicate the pigment. Surgical resection is another method. This will completely remove pigment that is excised, but will leave some type of scar.
