Avatar m tn It has been a while so perhaps it doesnt matter Plus, does it matter what kind of laser you use? what do I look for in a treatment for this not very big (2" square) very colorful tatto?

Avatar m tn Hello, These itchy rashes which come and go can be due to hives. Hives (medically known as urticaria) are red, itchy, raised areas of skin that appear in varying shapes and sizes. They have a tendency to change size rapidly and to move around, disappearing in one place and reappearing in other places, often in a matter of hours. The mainstay of treatment of hives is antihistamine which may be necessary for prolonged periods.
652407 tn?1300740799 Hello, I am not very sure of the efficacy and the related side effects of these tattoo removal creams but laser removal although expensive has been found to be the best treatment for tattoo removal. Another technique is Intense Pulsed Light Therapy. It is dermal enhancer in which instead of laser light, it uses high intensity light. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar n tn What is the least painless, least scarring method of removal? And where do I look for a reputable doctor for this procedure?
Avatar f tn You did not indicate what technique was used for your initial tattoo removal. Use of a laser is the most popular method. It require multiple sessions and may not completely eradicate the pigment. Surgical resection is another method. This will completely remove pigment that is excised, but will leave some type of scar.

Avatar m tn Hello, Pre-laser tattoo removal methods include dermabrasion, salabrasion (scrubbing the skin with salt), cryosurgery, and excision which is sometimes still used along with skin grafts for larger tattoos. However, laser tattoo removal using Q switched laser is the preferred method nowadays. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar n tn I only wish I'd tried Laser instead of Rejuvi, I'm worried the scar will be for life now.... I've been reading about Helichrysum - wich claims to have the unique ability to penetrate into cell membranes and helps heals wounds without scarring and is highly effective in reducing and eliminate existing scars ??? Any thoughts on this? or would it be worth trying the silicone gel sheeting?
233488 tn?1310696703 It is done by skilled surgeons using prosthetic iris implants that have been clinically tested and approved by appropriate national agencies. Nor is this using a laser to alter iris color although I would never recommend this surgery to a patient of mine. Nor are we talking about contact lens to alter the appearance of the eye iris color when worn if the contacts are fit by a skilled ophthalmologist or optometrist and worn by an informed and meticulous patient.
Avatar f tn I typically have an extremely high pain tolerance. I have tattoos all over, several piercings, have had laser hair removal in more places than a human should, and none of these processes were painful (ok, laser hair removal was no walk in the park but I did all areas without numbing cream). I know they say there is no pain like labor pains, but does anyone recommend it natural without meds and have any advice to naturally deal with the pain and any possible advice to make labor shorter?
Avatar f tn And if she did change her mind about having it, it would likely be after she is 21, and out of her purse to pay for the removal. My sister has a cartoon character on her shoulder, there goes her wearing sleeveless clothes in the summer at her job, which is a far more important [and therefore conservative in dress] job than she ever foresaw she would want or get back when she was a kid and got a tattoo in an obvious place.
4113881 tn?1415853876 I have been having laser tattoo removal for some time now. My last treatment was 12 days ago and the nurse who did it was new. Well....during the treatment she went slower than the usual nurse and it hurt so bad. It blistered, scabbed, and taking a very long time to heal AND is really red. I followed the aftercare to a T and have called the doc's office who is worthless. "Give it more time"....ok.
Avatar f tn However if you are experiecning a reaction to the ink, it can last a long long time. It is common for people to experience they're tattoos become raised, and bumpy, it usually only last a few minutes to an hour, and that is the fact that the scar tissue of the tattoo is "inflamed" (any scar will tend to do that) which usually happens if youve been in the sun for too long, or in hot shower.
Avatar n tn I want to get it covered up with another tattoo. I tried laser removal, and it seriously hurts more than childbirth so i never went back. i have been reading articles whether or not it was safe to get a tattoo while pregnant and i'm confused. Although there is no medical proof that getting a tattoo while pregnant is dangerous to the fetus, some articles say yes, others say no. What do you guys think?
Avatar f tn By PAT GROSSMITH New Hampshire Union Leader Staff 12 hours, 26 minutes ago A Concord father whose 14-year-old son was tattooed with derogatory words and an image on his buttocks by bullies said the teen didn't tell him or his mother about the tattoo because he did not want to disappoint them.
Avatar m tn Hi, I'm a 24 year old male, normally healthy until about 2 months ago, and am desperately seeking advice for whats happening to me during these 2 months. I feel pain, numbness, weakness and uncomfortablity all around my body but the worst is that I fear future paralysis or even death and I am a father but I am really in a shadow zone and so are my doctors in diagnosing what I have.
363243 tn?1331037450 I've had laser hair removal in the past. It was the best and the worst thing I could do. The hair was gone for like 3mos...but it was extremely painful because the pigment in my skin is darker.. I literally couldn't close my legs for 3 day! Yes I was ice packed down. But the hair went away. You have to do sessions and it takes at least 3 to inhibit the hair growth. Make sure someone who is familiar with African American and lasers.
8101930 tn?1420005056 He even said that when we're having kids I can try laser removal... but that's going to be a while. Bc we are about to have our first one.
Avatar n tn I was very self conscious about it growing up- for I couldn't find anything about girls with nipple hair. I actually had laser hair removal when I was 16, but it has all grown back which is unfortunate because it cost a lot! I still pluck when their long enough, but they do become ingrown and I end up having some scarring as well. My boyfriend never even noticed when we first got together, I couldn't believe it. It goes to show that men miss detail. It was a huge relief for me.
Avatar n tn I read someone got laser hair removal on their stomach.. if that person is reading.. it is gone for good? If so.. it'll def be the one thing I save my money for.. to be rid of this feeling & HAIR is something I have wished for a long time! <3 thanks for the knowledge I'm not the only one.. 720604 tn?1230853479 I told 2 healthcare professionals about my Hep C status: my dentist (via letter, since when I found out I was way between appointments) and my laser hair removal nurse. With my dentist, I see that they've added "HCV+" to my chart, but have never asked me anything about it. As with all my dentists out here (in Ca), regardless of the HCV thing, they ask you first thing if your health has changed in any way, and ask you to sign a release form.
Avatar n tn I have to admit I was a bit apprehensive about the removal because I'd read so many horror stories about how awful the pain was for others, but I'm honestly not feeling too badly. A little uncomfortable but otherwise, really good. I haven't had to take pain meds at all, I've been drinking a whole tonne of prune juice and water and just to be on the safe side, I've decided that I'm going to eat mashed vege's for about a week to make sure BM's won't be too traumatic.
Avatar n tn I have had 4 biopsies, and have had 2 laser surgeries for VIN 11. However, I still have the vulvar itching. I have gone back for another biopsie and nothing was found. I also have a clear discharge (alot) everyday. My labia is always itching, I also feel a very small bump on my libia. My doctor has prescribed creams, allergy pills, but nothing is working. I am so depressed not knowing why I have this ANNOYING itch. It makes me feel like I am dirty.
