162948 tn?1205256292 I had the mirena in for about 13 months & had it removed end of august to try to get pregnant. I had thought it was more immediate. I found out it can take 3-6 months for your cycle to return. my husband and I are pretty bummed because we would have removed it earlier (or never had it put in). Anyway, I bled a few days after removal (probably due to the removal) & then nothing until a couple days of brown spotting at the beginning of this month.
Avatar n tn Regarding the hair loss, when I started going through menopause at age 47 I would find a hair ball in the shower. Lasted for a while and then stopped. I've read that hair loss can be attributed to a lack of estrogen. So not sure if you're at that age or not. Hair loss is also a symptom that some people with lupus deal with. I've had some estrogen issues just recently and have noticed my skin is a lot drier than usual, probably a result of the lowering estrogen.
Avatar f tn I have heard a surgeon in my place talking about buying BMW through mobile when performing colonoscopy while the patient was conscious, and the colon was ruptured. Afterall the surgeon was not found guilty because no one can prove the rupture was directly related to the mobile conversation. Such act should be condemned no matter the doctors may be disqualified.... they deserve it, right?
Avatar n tn I forgot to mention that while I was on Yasmin I also had TERRIBLE migraine headaches at the onset of and coming off of my period. Those have also subsided for the most part now that I'm off. I would not recommend taking Yasmin to anyone...just wish I would have realized sooner that all of this was caused from BCP instead of age and stress.
298579 tn?1192250448 Nine out of ten times when I have an orgasm I have intense adominal pian then I have to have a bowel movement. The pain doesn't necessarily go away for a little while. None of my doctors have heard of this or know how to treat it since some major problems were ruled out. One of my doctors gave me this medication to place under my tongue to control the spasms but it doesn't help at all.
Avatar f tn Getting convinced it's NOT bugs because I have watched one start to come up while driving, or in someone else's home, or while outside... I'm at a loss. It's so itchy, sandpaper sounds good! These random circular (not target, but round raised red mark that starts smallish and raises to quarter size or bigger). It looks horrible and feels worse! Mine strangely only appear on my arms, upper thighs, and once on my upper chest by my collarbone. Wish I knew what it was.
Avatar n tn When these organs are removed through the belly button, a biopsy is impossible because the organs have been chopped (well not the best word) up into small pieces for removal. With a vaginal delivery, a biopsy can be proformed because these cervix, uterus and even ovaries can be removed pretty much intack.. I asked the same question, "what happens to my eggs that my ovaries release each month" and I was told they will be released and disinegrate.
Avatar n tn My period is 10 days away and I just started itching again tonight. At first I thought it was because I used a hair-remover cream to remove hair around my pubic region, but the itching continued. I itch a lot before and during my period and it's painful once i scratch and have to go pee. I was scared but because I'm still a virgin, I knew there was no way it could be an STD... I'm wondering about the whole eczema thing though...
Avatar n tn In my experience there is no miracle pill/lotion/cream I can get that will cure it, and there is no plant growing on Mount Himalaya or in the Amazon Jungle that will either. Some things make it better for a while, but there is no permanent cure - although it does run its course and 'go away' in some people. My advice to others is to accept this, then you can find out what works for you and then implement a management regime (and change if needed, and try new things sometimes).
Avatar n tn I initially thought it was because of some cheap make-up remover wipes that I used to take off my mascara. Although I had been using them for a while, they soon started to sting and burn the area around my eyes whenever I used them. The use of any eye make-up other than mascara would result in a stinging sensation, which varied in terms of severity. Moisturiser and even baby-lotion would burn my skin.
Avatar n tn Like mmwhittem my problem has been going on for a while, probably 12 months so i kind if think if it was anything nasty then I would know by now. But who knows what it might lead to. Oh the joys of being a woman!!!
Avatar n tn I was also taking Claritin for a while and nooooooooothing!! I've changed my make-up, tried three different prescriptions, and found useless information from Doctors! I have now...seven month later...accepted my cluster of red bumps around my eyes!!
Avatar m tn I should also add, I got a new spot yesterday afternoon. Now I have two "active" annyoing spots in my right eye at once, which has never happened before. While most of my spots are pemanent, after a few weeks they "fade" to small scotomas and I don't really notice them all the time (like I do with the new ones"). The old ones are visible mainly under the circumstances I mentioned above, unless I got looking for them.
Avatar n tn I've been having similar issues. Pain above right eye and funny feeling below it. I have balance issues at times, especially in malls and grocery stores from Eustachian Tube Dysfunction. I have a deviated septum that inhibits the airflow through my right nostril, the same side that I have all of the issues on. I've been to the ENT 3 times, but not since late last year. I was prescribed Allegra-D and a steroid nasal spray that did not help initially.
Avatar n tn I got this problem once about two weeks ago. It was while I was on my period. I had such bad pains in my butt it hurt to bad to go to the bathroom.. my sister said it happened to her once to, also while she was on her period. This is the only time its happened, and why to I only get the shooting pains during my period? Also when I'm off my period my right lower side kind of hurts. Does anyone know whats happening?
Avatar n tn I was previously on Yasmin and was able to lose 45 lbs while on it. I don't think it will do this to everyone, but this is just my experience with it so far. I think I'm gonna go back to the doc and switch back to Yasmin. Good luck!
Avatar n tn The muscle pain seems to be subsiding, especially in my neck and shoulders. It was pretty bad for a while, so shell0726, just hang in there because it will get better in time. I think the more stress and anxiety we feel, it causes the body to tighten up. Also, reading too much about the shot can really make the symptoms worse. This is a supportive environment here where we can all relate to the symptoms and offer positive advice.
Avatar n tn The oxygen resulted in Retinopathy of prematurity, which was treated with laser surgery to both eyes. He was in hospital for 97 days. My son is now 6 YEARS OLD, & very healthy. He wears glasses only for distance and has never required any other surgeries. He is very intelligent showing no side effects from the brain bleeds. His only-on going treatments are physio and occupational therapy for low muscle tone which may/may not be linked to prematurity.
