Avatar m tn 2011 I noticed I had vision loss which was diagnosed as a hole and a tear in my left eye retina. On Dec.14,2011 I underwent laser surgery which included the injection of silicon oil into the eye. The retina was repaired. Avatar f tn 2 weeks ago, i have been diagnosed with lattice degeneration (left eye). My symptom was that i keep seeing a sort of something that passes to my upper left eye vision. It is like an off white/grayish curtain that is being flipped. Like it has been blown by air, thereby causing the edges to flip. I do not know if that is what a "flashes" is.I also see some sort of reflections or shadows on the same area from time to time. With regards to floaters, i have had them for a year now.
Avatar n tn Last year i was diagnosed with myopic degeneration in the right eye. I have a very thin atrophic patch because o a crack in my choroid related to very long axial length. But my retina seems ok. I am not concerned anymore about CNV. Avatar n tn Common symptoms later in the disease, if it goes untreated, are digestive symptoms, bowel inflammation, possible bladder inflammation that feels like a bladder infection, arthritis, fibromyalga, and very late in the disease serious eye inflammation and possibly central nervous system involvement. People rarely die from this illness, the main thing a person has to be worried about is quality of life. That why you want to be proactive, not scared. This disease can be managed if properly treated.
Avatar n tn The ONLY times it has completely cleared was when I would get a cortizone injection in my bad shoulder as well as the one time I was put on a Prednisone treatment for an eye infection. That's it. I live with it. But I would like to know if anyone has an idea as to what brings it on in the first place. Why, out of the blue, does it appear? I have no allergies nor exposures past or present to chemicals or the like. Any ideas? Any treatments that work? Thanks!
Avatar n tn One thing I noticed about 4weeks before it started, was my left eye twitched for a week. Then it stopped- the next day my right eye started twitching! (Honestly, I can deal with the back, much better than the eyes) I didn't notice this listed as a symptom. Has anyone had a similiar experience? Thanks!!!!!!
