Avatar n tn Welcome to my world of Kidney Stones. I have suffered with Severe Kidney Disease since I was 13 naturally misdiagnosed. Then numerous kidney stones. That alot of time do NOT show up in CT scans depending on were there at. Well I just passed mine today that has been bothering me for 9 days. I don't know if there is more to com. So as far as Doctors go don't believe a word they say. You know your body. I have been told it was in my mind until I brought the stones to these idots.
Avatar f tn This is one of the most difficult things I've ever had to deal with. My beloved Gypsy is dying of kidney failure. Gypsy is a Jack Russell Terrier and she turned 18...yes 18...on Christmas Day. It's just so hard to know when it is "time." I prayed and prayed that she would give us one final parting gift and die on her own in her sleep...but she is SUCH a fighter and refused to surrender to this thing.
Avatar m tn I get a CT Scan every 6 months and have 4 stones in left kidney and 2 in right kidney. Please read my post about kidney stones (says something like Kidney Stone & this is my story) cause I need someone to talk too or someone that is or has gone through all this agony. You will understand if you go to my post. Thanks for listening/reading. I have been through several urologist & they just don't know.
1035252 tn?1427231433 I knew I had a magnesium deficiency, because I have nearly chronic calcium kidney stones (not enough magnesium/potassium=an inability for the body to absorb and break down calcium properly). They realized I had a calcium absorption problem, and it took a little more digging on my part for them to finger the cause as a magnesium deficiency. However, all my doctors wanted to try medicines to remedy the problem as opposed to simply supplementing with mag.
Avatar n tn I have actually been to chinese doctor today to try and remedy everything naturally, but the reality is I also went for pre-op assessment today, and there ain't no way out of this op for me.
Avatar f tn Your can either keep him going as you have until he passes naturally, or you can have him put to sleep. It is your decision to make. There is no way for the burden of the decision to be lifted from you. I know that it is a burden, either way. No one could call you negligent, though, if you should choose to have him put to sleep after the amount of time, energy and money you have devoted to his care so far.
Avatar n tn Mine was diagnosed as fibromyalgia, with s-1 thru l5 degenerative disc disease and also had 2 kidney stones. I am going to have lithotripsy done on the 15th. I also have titanium in my back now. still having the same pains though!! Mine r not stopping thru the day sometimes til early morning then stopping. Tests after test show nothing else! We need a qualified Dr. not someone to come in for 5 mins and give out candy meds to cover this!!
Avatar n tn I have been to a GYN, Urologists, primary care physicians, you name it I have seen them. I have had kidney stones removed, laproscopic surgery (nothing abnormal) and a cystopy (spelling). I was actually hoping that the Lap would indicate that they had found something wrong so they could fix it. My GYN seems to think our next step is to remove the uterus, I just don't see how this can help.
Avatar f tn I really doubt this is acute kidney failure. You know your dog better than anyone else, so have a read of this article ... http://veterinarymedicine.dvm360.com/differentiating-between-acute-and-chronic-kidney-disease? It's a long and complex piece, but you may find some of it refers to your observations and experience. At worse, it should give you some insights and provoke a few questions you may wish to raise with your vet.
Avatar n tn I am a nervous wreck, because I hear these sounds all night and all day, naturally affecting my sleep and feeling of well-being. I have a sneaking suspicion that much of this has worsened over the past several months because my 13 year old daughter was diagnosed with liver cancer, and we've been living a nightmare with this. I believe that any time you have a trauma or great stress, those old post-EBV side-effects can be reactivated to a great degree.
Avatar n tn Could be kidney stones. I get kidney stones. I've been getting them since I was young. When I was younger, I had no idea what it was. Now I do. They tend to get worse as an adult and in some stages, can be as painful or worse than child birth. I would see a urologist.
Avatar n tn It's an urban myth...gallstones, unlike kidney stones can not be dissolved - and even if they could, you would NOT want the remnants of them "passing through" as this "flush" suggests would happen....the fragments or small stones would become trapped, possibly in the bile duct. This old wives' tale is at best useless and at worst dangerous...please don't even try it....
Avatar f tn She is in fourth stage renal failure-Of course she has seen her regular vet for fluids-ultra sound revealed she has one kidney which is failing. Creatine was 13-subs at home-now using hollistic and homepatic treatment. Recently more bad days than good. I am giving her ice chips which seem to work better for her than lapping. Pedialyte ice is also better.
Avatar n tn I wake every morning with horrible pain in lower back (kidney area) that radiates to the front of stomach (rib area). I have had battery of tests and found nothing. I am only able to sleep 5-6 hours before pain wakes me, also unable to take a deep breath until I get out of bed (very painful just to roll over), once I stand and get out of bed the pain almost immediately starts to ease. After about 20 minutes of walking around and after first morning void, pain disappears for remainder of day.
Avatar n tn I have had xrays, IVP, ultrasound and CT scan. Initially my urine dip showed blood and it was thought i might have a kidney stone, but in further testing the urine showed 0 - 3 red blood cells, which I am told are normal levels, and the IVP did not turn up anything. Only the ultrasound turned up a very small (1.6cm) hemmorhaggic cyst on my left ovary.
Avatar m tn I have no rash or skin condition. I had kidney stones earlier this year but not sure if there is a connection. Also got stung by a jellyfish badly but again I don't think there is a connection. I tried all skin creams including benadril, hydrocortisine, aloe vera, cocoa butter, ..the list goes on. The only thing that seems to work somewhat is soaking my entire body in BABY OIL after a shower so I can stand still for brushing my teeth.
Avatar f tn I have a history of kidney stones going back 4 years now and since then I have microscopic blood in my urine. Saw a Urologist about it, he did urine tests also did cystoscopy and I even had xray and ct scan of my bladder and kidneys. Nothing is found ever. But why do I have the urge to go like a UTI? I mentioned is it overactive bladder, I am told no, no one ever brings up cystitis, which from what I have read, this sounds like it.
Avatar n tn I broke my leg last year and naturally,I needed a specialist. Enter doctor #2. I was given pain medication,a narcotic,(I wanted anesthesia LOL) BEFORE they wrote that RX,I had to sign a CONTRACT that I wouldn't receive any other pain meds from any other doctor. GREAT! That's fine with me. What happened to you is the reason why the doctor did that with me and ALL of his patients. They need to all do that. There are times when an RX will ovelap though and it's innocent.
Avatar n tn there was a post about something called Sialolith...it calcified stones in the salivart gland or duct much like a kidney stone...it can cause blockage and inflammation...they suggest seeing an Endocrinologist. This may not be the answer but I think I'm gonna give it a try. I hope that one of us can find something to help us all resolve this issue...it nice to know I'm not alone and not crazy.
Avatar m tn During this time, I was checked for STD's and given ultrasounds of my scrotum and kidneys. I didn't have any STD's nor kidney stones. But the scrotum ultrasound only diagnosed me for Vericocele. The Urologist I saw at this time told me it wasn't a big deal and prescribed Naproxen. I didn't find that any NSAID's helped me. However, the discomfort ended up suppressing itself for the next two years to a point where I could do my daily activities and not worry about it.
Avatar n tn I have avoided completely. 1. Eggs 2. Liver 3. Kidney 4. Peas 5. Beans 6. Peanuts 7. Soy products 8. Brassicas (brussel sprouts, broccoli, cabbage, and cauliflower) 9 Lecithin and lecithin-containing fish oil supplements 10. SALT (is the main one causing this issue I believe). 11. OIL I am eating lot of vegs and fruits + 3 - 4 liters of water in a day. So basically what ever you eat don't use Direct SALT and oil.
Avatar m tn Anyway, I am going to watch this list, let me know if you find any remedy. I have thought everything from spine issues, to oversized bladder, to kidney problems, to liver problems, to just pure "have no idea!".
724734 tn?1230944872 Ive been having these same symptoms for almost 6 months. Ive been tested for thyroid, STDs, Lyme, Vitamin D, Vitamin Bs, Liver/kidney function and the only thing that came back not normal (21 when the range should be between 40-80) was my vitamin D. My doc put me on 2000IU a day with daily vitamin+supplement. She retested me after being on it for 2 months and it only went up to 28. She doesnt want to up my supplement but I did it anyways.
Avatar m tn It also helps activate the cilia in your nose and lungs. Another folk remedy is to drink apple cider vinegar, which its proponents claim will thin out your mucus. I’ve never tried it, but you can look it up on the internet if you want to try it. A food that certainly helps clear out the congestion in your head is the chile pepper. In fact, the active ingredient in all hot peppers, capsaicin, is being used by some doctors to treat sinusitis.
