Conditions of the reproductive organs giving rise to pain include endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, ovarian cysts, fibroids. If you hav ealready consulted a Gynaecologist and any abnormality is ruled out, then it most probably is due to the kidney stones. Avatar m tn Hello and hope you are doing well. This could be renal colic. Small stones can obstruct the passage of urine and when the body tries to 'push' against the blockade this results in colic, which is severe attacks of pain. The other causes for the pain could be infections of the bowel and bladder, prolapsed intervertebral disc or inflammatory diseases of the colon.

It's shocking how many people have kidney diseases/ glomerulonephritis without knowing until their kidney functions start decreasing. In the country where I came from originally - china, routine urinalysis is checked among all ages every year.
Avatar n tn Hi, The way I understand your urinalysis showed rbc numbering at 3-5 /hpf and the normal reference for your laboratory was less than 3? Is this correct? Were you able to visibly or grossly note bleeding in your urine? In other laboratories, urine RBC's numbering up to 5 may still be acceptable. So I feel that in your case, this may be a mild case of microscopic hematuria. In the presence of mild hematuria, other factors have to be noted like bacteria and WBC levels.
Avatar m tn These substances can create small crystals that become stones. The biggest risk factor for kidney stones is dehydration. Kidney stones may not produce symptoms until they begin to move down the tubes (ureters) through which urine empties into the bladder. When this happens, the stones can block the flow of urine out of the kidneys. This causes swelling of the kidney or kidneys, causing pain. The pain is usually severe. Kidney stones are common.

Avatar f tn i am used to the pain and can deal with it, what scares me is the kidney pain. normally i dont get kidney pain with the stones. i had to have only one stone removed surgically, it was stuck in the lining of my urethra, total pain on that episode before and after! Does anyone have any knowledge on preventing calcium oxalate stones that i havent tried already? i cant take diuretics because of a sulfa allergy, the potassium citrate does nothing, and i have slowed down on tea and cheese.
Avatar f tn Hello, For cloudy urine and such crippling pain, the most common cause is stones in kidney which is blocking urine pathway. It can also be due to retention of urine anywhere in its flow due to obstruction. The obstruction can be due to abnormality of structures since birth, stones or diseases like tumors. So you should get done an ultrasound, CT scan and also urine examination and kidney function tests.
Avatar n tn Have it tested when you have your next blood test. Kidney stones could mean too much calcium, and the Vitamin D could make this condition worse. Too much Vitamin D can also cause other kidney problems. Consult with your doctor and have him/her do a full blood panel.

Avatar m tn Causes can be divided according to the affected organ and they are Kidney conditions (infection, pyelonephritis, kidney stones, polycystic kidney disease), Bladder conditions (cystitis, bladder polyp, bladder tumor), Urethral conditions (Sexually transmitted diseases, urethral injury, vaginal inflammation), and certain bleeding disorders.

Avatar n tn While I've had abdominal pain and slowly increasing fatigue for the last two years, it's never been this bad, and the usual suspects for that kind of thing didn't check out when I saw my GP. The doctor at the ER said it could be a kidney infection, but it didnt look like there was enough blood for it... She also mentioned "Addisons" disease as something to look into.

Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar m tn But I have this issue that keep me from being active, which in itself might be the issue. I have had 2 kidney stones already. The first had to be removed at a 7mm size. The 2nd stone was strange though. I got hit with the same pain i had the first time, but in my other kidney, and in fact was a kidney stone when X-rayed or whatever. The pain stopped within a week though and i thought i had passed the stone without knowing.
