Avatar f tn Why passing a lot of small kidney stones while drinking a lot of iced tea with lemonade
Avatar n tn I myself know how to brew and create iced tea, but I'm definetly not sure on how the chemistry aspect of this works... Is this oxolate something i'd be able to replace or just take out by any means? Or is there some iced tea company out there that doesent produce the natural stuff so that the oxolate may not be a component within the ingredients?
Avatar m tn I heard that both juices were supposed to be good, but that orange juice was actually the better of the two. But lemonaid was what the dr. recommended. After a year on the kidney stone anti-diet, I had more kidney stones. Told the dr. I had not had any tea, chocolate, collard greens, salad, almonds, beets, etc, etc, drank a gallon of water a day along with the lemonaid. What else could I do, doc.? He said, "We really don't know what causes kidney stones to form.
Avatar f tn She sent me for a scan to make sure It wasn't kidney stones and sure enough it was. Try to mention it to your doctor next time you see him.

389974 tn?1331018842 He had an order of crab cakes, 2 glasses of iced tea, and some cranberry juice. Swampy was scheduled to work that night so he walked home to do that. Upon arriving home, he found a note saying that he didn't need to work. So after a few more minutes, Swampy decided it was time for bed. He lay down to sleep on his back. 1 minute later it felt as if every one if his back muscles were pulled, ultra sore, and bruised. Shifting from side to side did not help.
Avatar f tn The mineral content in the water calcifies in you kidneys and creates stones. 2 years of drinking and cooking with distilled water and no more stones. YOUR WATER IS CAUSING YOUR CALCIUM STONES.. DRINK AND COOK WITH DISTILLED WATER. IT IS A DOLLAR A GALLON AT THE GROCERY STORE AND YOU'LL NEVER HAVE STONES AGAIN.
Avatar n tn Those using Topomax need to be especially mindful about drinking plenty of fluids due to increased chances of kidney stones. Stoney will likely develop if fluid intake is not maintained. Looking forward to weight loss benefit as I gained 30# over the past 4 years on anti-depressents. Has anyone used this for bipolar?
168348 tn?1379360675 Aspartamine is the artificial sweetner in it. The other idea of tea in the water is good, but cause of my kidney stones I need to watch the teas and oxalates .. they make an oxalate free tea I think someplace but wonder how it tastes LOL ... at this point maybe the Wyler's will work for now. $1.00/container of single serves at Walgreens!
Avatar f tn Pretty much all I drank at the beginning of my pregnancy now I have kidney stones and I'm 32 weeks . It's ok to drink a soda a day but make sure you drink lots of water too.
Avatar n tn The water was taken, at boiling point, from a tea kettle and I scalded my skin using the hot-waterbottle, but the burn on the outside was preferable to the unbearable pain on the inside. Why didn't I just go to the hospital??? Again, I have no medical insurance, and am already thousands of dollars in debt from this nasty condition. I finally made myself vomit. It was TOO MUCH pain. Pain. Not nausea. But I had to get that hydrochloric/suphuric acid out of my stomach.
Avatar n tn To try to put a stop to these symtoms, I am going to be eating and drinking a majority of the above advised foods, being water and tea (I love my tea and have never had a problem with it), i can suggest cutting out dairy for a week or so, if your stomach is tender and painful, try drinking a cap ful of Milk of Magnesia to calm it down (this also helps the vomiting) and eating dry toasted bread (brown is better). I'll get back to you all in a week with how I am doing.

Avatar m tn I never gave a stone a thought, but then again I am getting older and drink a lot of iced tea. Oh, and last thing I didnt add in the first post. I would tink, that is it is an infection of some sort, I would have a discharge or cloudy urine?
Avatar n tn I have undergone several tests, MRI of the lumbar spince, chest and abdominal CT scans with and without contrast, colonoscopy, endoscopy to rule out the obvious...kidney stones, appendicitis, gastro issues, and my gall bladder was removed 2 years ago. CT scans did reveal several small kidney stones...a few in each kidney. I can't help but think that the issue is kidney related. The pain really feels like it is stemming from my right kidney.
Avatar n tn i head for some info thru a nurse friend and told me stuff like liver and kidney problem and a hint of std. but after i read all the so similar stories here, im relieved but still worries a little. there a side of this incident that teaches me to practice more on safe sex, i believe that everythings happens for a reason, and the message for me is to look after my health more, limit encounters and practice safe sex..thanks heavens.....
690241 tn?1227390813 I have to run offline, but for starters I have gallstones, thyroid, and skin cancer issues, recurring UTI's and kidney stones ..........along with this MSK. but all well maintained and 100% healthy! I had micro blood and atypical cells in my urine but thankfully no cancer .. the cells were inflammatory from all the movement inside the medullary of the kidney changing their structure. Key to MSK is finding a good doc and shopping around ..............I went thru 2 to find the one I like a lot!
Avatar n tn i was diagnosed with gallbladder disease 3 years ago and still havent had my gallbladder removed. to help avoid the pain, drink lots of water (avoid caffeine! and iced tea can leave deposits in your system which can cause gall stones!) and avoid foods high in fat or that are deep fried or are cream based (i found that eating soups like cream of crab REALLY hurt me!). i hope this helped. ~chrissee.
Avatar f tn Unless I drink a lot of coffee but that's normal I believe, I also drink a lot of iced tea and soda which is why I thought of kidney stones. I'm only 19 by the way, about to be 20.
Avatar n tn I think everything is over and I clean up. I walk out of the toilet and in about 2 minutes time the stomach cramp and the fainting sensation comes back (I've fainted only once to date from this and was out for about 15-20 minutes). 6. When I get back to the toilet I have a really violent Diarrhoea episode in pure liquid state.
Avatar n tn An added benefit for me was weight loss--by replacing all my juice, soda, red bull and iced tea drinking with plain old water I was able to lose 50 pounds on treatment (which I really needed) even though I never lost my appetite or had major issues with nasuea. Now I've just got my fingers crossed that I can keep it up once I go off the "Pegasys Diet"!
211940 tn?1267884866 However, he said it could NOT be causing me so much pain. He checked out my arm and noticed a hard soft tissue knot, and suggested removing it through surgery and it "might" relieve my pain. So, 3 weeks ago I had the said surgery and it was removed (a hard soft tissue mass about the size of a marble). No, this was not the cyst inside my humerus bone. Anyways, I still have the pain, and it is extremely terrible at night (on a scale of 1 to 10, a 20 at night).

Avatar n tn Hello, If the urine is splitting in two streams, it can be due to congenital defects, scarring of the urethra due to STDs or other trauma, Obstruction, structural changes in lower urinary tract and prostatis. Passing of recurrent kidney stones can also cause scarring of the urethra and hence two streams of urine. For evaluation of the same, I would suggest you to get it examined from a urologist and get an ultrasound and cystic urethrogram done to confirm the diagnosis.
Avatar n tn My husband has had 3 heart attacks and is now fribulating and has been put on coumadin in an attempt to regulate it. He is also a Diabetic 2 and has a tendecy to create kidney stones. Avatar n tn He does not think it is skeletal and took a blood sample to rule out kidney and water problems. He has now given me diazepan to relax my muscle and told me to go back to my docs to asked to be refered to a muscle pain specialist. I am thinking of going to an osteopath or chiropractor but unsure whether they help with only skeletal probs rather than muscle. I feel like screaming and often tell my bf that I don't wanna wake up in the mornings, just to face another day like this.
Avatar n tn I have been to about 30 doctors- including ENT's allergists, neurologists, chiropracters, opthamologists. psychologists, dentists and everything else u can think of. All CT scans, MRI of brain and blood work keep coming back clean and ok. Nothing I try seems to work. There was a period of time about 3 and a half years ago that the symptoms lifted for about 4 months and then it returned full force.
Avatar f tn With the help of my roommate I was able to get to the bathroom. My urine was very dark like iced tea and was getting a bit darker later on. I went to a 3rd Dr who discovered I had suffered a bad muscle injury causing rhabdomyolisis which was damaging my kidney due to the breakdown of myoglobin in my blood. I also suffered nerve damage as I had a large patch o of numb skin across my lower back. My question is...
