Avatar f tn I am so tired of the tummy trouble, that is causing me more discomfort than the actual kidney pain. Can kidney stones cause diarrhea? Even if they are not the most painful stones I've had?
Avatar n tn Finally realized I had kidney stones about 2 months ago. Just want to die when that vomiting and diarrhea start! I have actually fainted twice. At least I know I'm not crazy as others have had the same symptoms!
Avatar f tn I live with kidney stones and have been for years. Does anyone know what is good to eat to help prevent stones? All I can find online are foods that I can't eat.
Avatar n tn Does anyone have or had kidney stones or kidney infection during pregnancy? How was your experience? Any natural way to feel better? I was admitted 3 days at the hospital, had the worst pain ever. Still feeling some pain and lots of diarrhea. Sorry for the Tmi.
1215383 tn?1266418042 One reason is that biofilm infections can set up with in and on kidney stones. Most big stones are known as infectious stones but bacteria can build biofilms on small and calcium oxalate stones as well. Feel free to pm for more information or links on Biofilm infection and kidney stones. Here is the link to the MSK support group here. Though you may not have MSK there is a lot of info on kidney stones, infection and chronic pain etc. http://www.medhelp.org/forums/show/256?
Avatar f tn Augmentin is very similar to Clavamox. Augmentin can occasionally cause stomach upsets (vomiting and diarrhea). The dose of Augmentin is all right for your dog. All of the supplements you mention are good except the vinegar. It would really be best to have a urinalysis performed though and treat under veterinary supervision.
Avatar n tn Hello, There is no association between kidney stones and diarrhea. However diarrhea can occur after kidney stones removal when antibiotics are prescribed after surgery to prevent any infection. This can cause antibiotic associated diarrhea. In this intake of plenty of curd daily and probiotics helps. Please discuss this possibility with your child’s doctor. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
701581 tn?1279139638 Presently, I am having stomach pain every time I eat-daily bloating sometimes vomiting, diarrhea, or constipation with alot of mucous and traces of blood in the mucous. I also have migraine headaches several times a week with alot of vomiting/diarrhea and muscle pains (just also diagnosed with arthritis in my neck). Recieved MRi-results were negative. Most of the time I have bad stomach cramps but can not go to the bathroom.
Avatar m tn Please get ultrasound done to rule out gall stones and pancreatitis. Also blood tests for hepatitis and pancreatitis should be undertaken. Try ciprofloxacin with metronidazole for colitis. Stool examination can rule out intestinal infection.
Avatar m tn you are talking about the pain you are having after you have passed kidney stones, but for me i think that your system has been compromised from the kidney stones taking their course and you need sometime to heal. As for the yellow bowels movements, that could be bile juices from gallbladder or possibly (not sure) from kidney stones passing. let yourself heal for a while and see how you feel, your body has been through something traumatic and needs time to feel better.
Avatar f tn MRI results show at least two 2.0mm stones in each kidney. I passed my second stone (left kidney) a couple of weeks ago, and ever since then, my right kidney has been giving me on-and-off pain. Should I be concerned about this chronic, low grade pain? I always wonder if it's sand passing, but I'm not sure now. The last 2 or 3 urine tests I've had done have all shown a low level of protein in the urine.
Avatar n tn I have had people say that drinking freshly squeezed lemon juice with water will help to dissolve kidney stones. I do drink lots of water and water with fresh lemon juice (freshly squeezed) and do notice that when I get kidney pain and start to drink the lemon water, I do notice more sediment in the urine. A kidney stone can be as small as a grain of sand. 20 years ago when my stone was surgically removed, I was told to avoid all dairy, but since then the information has changed.
Avatar m tn When I release it, it feels like the worst diarrhea I've ever had. I thought it might be kidney stones because while I was on the trip, I did not drink enough water. I am so hungry all the time... I can eat a meal and still be starving. My stomach is full of acid right now so I don't want to eat even though I'm starving. And I don't want to drink water because I will just retain the water. I don't understand the symptoms at all. Does this sound like IBS or acid-reflux?
Avatar m tn Hi, I'm 26 years old, normal blood pressure and health, have kidney stones, and I have been having problems with diarrhea for over a year now. I have seen 4 different specialists and they all have concluded IBS. I have had multiple colonoscopies recently (not fun), an endoscopy, more stool cultures than you can shake a stick to, blood tests....the works. NOTHING has shown up on any of those.
Avatar f tn it sounds like she is passing kidney stones take the white stones too your doctor so they can examine it,also ask for asecond scan on her kidneys

1449510 tn?1407164029 if it's not kidney stones, could it be digestive pain? and if it is kidney stones/kidney is it possible to not have stones? or maybe I just have such tiny stones, I don't even realize it? cause it's not like I ever see any. Are they still in me then? It's weird. When I went to the ER last march, I had been in pain since midnight. I went to the ER around 9 am. And then around noon, the pain went away. Once the pain was gone was when they took an x ray/cat scan.
Avatar n tn For the past two-three weeks, I have had pain - sometimes excruciating - in my lower right abdomen, and while I FEEL like I have to go to the bathroom, nothing happens. I have a history of kidney stones, and twice I was sure that was what was going on, the pain was so intense. But then it stops, rather suddenly, only to recur after a couple of days. And instead of having diarrhea, (this is embarrassing) I have very long, flat-like, thin movements.
Avatar m tn Hello, i am a 20 year old student and recently found that i have two kidney stones. I believe they have both moved from my kidney to my bladder and was wondering how long it takes to pass them through my urine once they are already in my bladder. These stones are 1mm and 2mm and also i was wondering to what extent the pain is going to be when i pass them?

Avatar n tn I've been experiencing some symptoms which I believe point to gall stones but my latest symptoms are throwing me a bit and i want to avoid unnecessary gall bladder removal and as such would like opinions. History: I work permanent night shifts: About 6 months to a year ago i had a few episodes whereby I had acute upper central abdomen pain around 4am which disappeared in a space of seconds within 1h.
Avatar m tn Gastroenteritis, diverticulitis, bowel obstruction, polyps and Irritable bowel syndrome, here there should be accompanying bowel symptoms like diarrhea and vomiting. Discuss these options with your doctor. Besides, blood tests, urine analysis, an x ray and an ultra sonogram of the abdomen, sometimes an Intravenous pyelogram and a CT scan may be needed to diagnose. In the meantime take OTC Naproxen for pain relief and plenty of oral fluids. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn This is still quite large and even if it breaks up as it comes down it can still cause problems with pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and infections in the urinary tract as the stone starts to travel down. A stone can be the size of a grain of sand, but can still cause lots of problems. Your father's urologist may decide to shatter the stone and let it come out on its own, or may operate to remove the stone, depending where the stone is.
Avatar n tn Musculoskeletal pain typically gets worse with movement, and is relieved by heat or massage. Common causes of kidney pain include kidney stones, kidney infection or pyelonephritis, and any bleeding within the kidney from injury or otherwise, where the blood supply is suddenly cut off because of blockage of the artery to the kidney. It would be best to have it evaluated by your doctor. Ultrasound or xray may be done to better visualize the structures. Take care and keep us posted.
Avatar n tn I had my gallbladder out 2 months ago and I eat a low fat diet and also daily diarrhea. I read online that it is common after gallbladder removal and some people it gets better over time and others always have diarrhea. Does your husband feel better atleast after gallbladder removal?? I had mine removed but it did not take away the pain.
1043607 tn?1253240417 Yes the cramps are primarily in my back, but they are also on my sides and front and feel more intestinal then kidney. I think I've had a kidney infection before, and the pain was only localized to the area where your kidneys should be. This feels more like all over - in the middle, side, mid and lower back, and right above my uterus too. Kind of a whole bunch of midsection cramps. Can a bad kidney infection give you cramps through out the whole midsection?
Avatar f tn You could try the use of calcium - google 'Lnape and calcium' and find the form of calcium and the timing of when you should take it. But don't use the calcium method if you have a history of parathyroid problems or kidney stones. Questran or other bile-binding resin is about the only other thing that might help if the diarrhea is severely debilitating.
Avatar n tn Recently, I've been getting minor headaches everyday along with diarrhea, and I have been urinating frequently. I also sleep horrible at night. I also am tired by midday and need a powernap. I am in school and it causes me to be a more anxious/nervousness person and i put alot of stress on myself. I am curious if this is just my nervousness affecting bodily habits or if it could be something else? I drink like 5 (16oz) water bottles a day. Thanks. look forward to a response.
