Okay I am wanting to start birth control not for the usual reason. I want to start it to lighten my periods and help my acne clear up. I've already talked to my mom about it and she supports me on it. I just don't know exactly which pill to look into. Anybody have suggestions? I'll of course do more research but I need some ideas. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!
I was orginally on Depo-Provera for 1 1/2 years (never had a period), switched to Seasonale (major nausea), then switched to Tri-Sprintec (my chest got huge on this pill), and then to Kariva (was great!). I was on Kariva for 10 months. I never took the placebo week, so I never had a 'period'. However, if and when I missed a pill or took it a little late, I always had spotting for a day or two.
Last Wednesday I got my period, and I began taking Kariva Birth Control. On friday, My boyfriend and I decided to have sex, which was dumb, but we used a condom with spermicide on it and in it. After a little bit, the condom popped and he pulled out immediately without ejaculating at all. Then we were finished.
I know that people say that girls can get pregnant on their periods, however, i was only on the 3rd day of my cycle and i highly doubt that i could have ovulated so early...
I am on Kariva birth control. I missed 2 or 3 pills the week that i had sex. We used protection everytime except penetration once for like 30 but he did not ejaculate. I took plan b (the one pill version) between th 48 and 72 hour mark. It has been 2 weeks since and my period has been a couple days late and very very light (dark brown). I know that the plan b causes disruptions in menstrating and so does missing pills but id like to lnow if im just overly paranoid.
You should be ok if the pill has been working well for you so far. The birth control pills tell your body that your already pregnant so you dont actually get pregnant by using certain hormones. As long as you are pretty accurate by taking the pill the same time each day and you have never had any problems I think you will be fine. But remember even if all has been well up to this point that the pill is only 99 percent effective.
Could you get pregnant on the birth control pill even when u miss a few my breast feel a little heavy and my nipples hurt I had sex on December 21st my next period is January 10th I did a little spotting then bleeding but I believe that's cause I missed pills so doctor told me to get back on track and I stop bleeding but my fave is breaking out I feel bloated n sleeping a lot and my family sad I'm a little moody and I can't stop eating... Could I be pregnant?
If she started taking the pill on the very first day of her period then she would have been covered straight away... however, if she started taking the pill at any other time you should carry on to use condoms for the first 7 days of taking the pill.
If ever she misses a pill, again you should use condoms for the next 7 days after taking it again until it is back in her system.
i am on the birth control pill and skipped my last period. a week before i came to the next section of inactive tablets my period started which i thought was normal considering i skipped my last, but now i have been having cramps ever since aswell as bleeding and it is still going strong. im really worried and the pain is quite intense at times. it has now been the rest of that week plus 3 days of inactive tablets, im wondering what does this mean? what is going to happen?
The first birth control pill I was on, my periods were regular at the same time every month. I never missed a period.
My doctor switched my pill and I didn't have a period for 3 months. When I went back to the doctor they said that maybe the new pill was too strong for me, and they switched it again. I had a period for the first two months on this third pill and now I have stopped getting my period again. I took three pregnancy tests and they have all came up negative.
