I started my period on Monday November 14th and started Apri birth control on Wednesday November 16
I have taken it religiously every night at 8:50pm and havent missed a pill I had unprotected sex several times on Sunday November 27, however he did not come inside me. I was just wondering if my birth control was affective then and if there is any chance I should be worried about a pregnancy?
I have been taking desogen (apri) birth control for over 2 years and have not yet missed my period for over a day. this is the first it has not been consistent. I am sexually active with a steady partner in a monogamous relationship. I am not ready for a child and need to know if I should seek a morning after pill, take my birth control for next month instead of my placebo pills to try to start my period, or what other options I have.
i did miss a day on the 22nd, but took it with my next day dose. Then i missed it again on the 24th and took that pill with my next day dose as well...was that wrong? I was on Lo estrin and got pregnant on it after 3 months. Im trying not to stress out about it because i just bumped up my activity level to working out 5-6 times a week! Anywho im thinking of going on the Implanon, does anyone know if its good?
It is possible that you may be pregnant. There is a chance of pregnancy when you have unprotected sex. Also birth control pills are not 100% effective. I know several people who have gotten pregnant on the pill. You chances are even higher when you miss pills or don't take them at the same time everyday. Did you just start your pill in April? If so then you might not have had enough hormones in your body for the pill to be completely effective yet. When was your positive test?
This is my first month ever being on birth control and i'm on the 28-day pack pills called Apri. i started taking the last week the "reminder pills" 3 days ago and the way i understood it is that i'm supposed to get my period on the first day i took the reminder pills...could i be pregnant or is there something else wrong?
I am currently taking birth control packets that have 3 weeks of active pills and 1 week of placebo pills. I missed one pill maybe around the 4th day of the packet (Wednesday), but resumed a regular schedule after that. I had unprotected sex the Tuesday before, and like an idiot and completely forgetting about the missed dosage on Wednesday, that following Saturday. Normally in the past when I have accidentally missed a dose there hasn't been any problems or weird symptoms.
m 18 years old and sexually active and have had the same sex partner since August 2012 and have been taking birth control since April 2012. I missed my pill July 23 so I did the double dose I was suppose to do the next day (although I was a few hours late doing that) and that same day (July 24) I began to have brown discharge which turned into VERY LIGHT bloody white cottage cheese discharge on the last day, the 31st.

Have you ever been late for your period before? Most women get their period during the placebo week. Are you taking the 21 or 28 day pack?
Could you get pregnant on the birth control pill even when u miss a few my breast feel a little heavy and my nipples hurt I had sex on December 21st my next period is January 10th I did a little spotting then bleeding but I believe that's cause I missed pills so doctor told me to get back on track and I stop bleeding but my fave is breaking out I feel bloated n sleeping a lot and my family sad I'm a little moody and I can't stop eating... Could I be pregnant?
I've been on birth control for more than a year, I forgot to take two of my pills and took 3 of them in one night when I remembered. The next day I started bleeding heavily and have terrible cramps.. is this okay?
Had a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy for endo, a polyp and a cyst. After that I wanted to try for a baby. Anyways, I stopped my birth control the same day I had my surgery and I've never had a problem. I'm not sure about everyone but that was what happened to me. Everything was fine. I had surgery on June 25th, 2010 and so it's been almost 3 weeks. I hope this helps. Good luck, take care!
