m wondering if this is common and what types of birth control cause it, and how long it takes to get your period back!?

For the past 10 days I have had light brown discharge non-stop, bloating, and bad stomach cramps. I was on Azurette birth control for about a year and then I switched to Mircette(this is my first pack); so I was wondering if the switch could have anything to do with it even though they are basically the same birth control. I am due for my period on Tuesday the 29th. I am very confused as to why this is happening so I'm wondering if you have any ideas or explanations!

I just recently had a baby on Sept 5, I have a prescription for birth control but I am not sure when to start taking them. I think the nurse at the hospital told me to start taking them on the third Sunday after the baby, but I am not sure. Can you help me?

s body is different, however my two sister in laws have the paraguard and it works amazingly for them they each have had it ok for almost 2 years. No birth control seems to be right for me so I have decides no both control here.

Hi, are you on birth control? I was on Mircette to regulate my cycle and because it wasn't "strong enough" I spotted mid cycle. I also spotted on the Depo shot so it could be birth control. You are not pregnant from giving a hand job.. unless you took the semen and inserted it into your vagina which I doubt you did. If you did have sex and just don't want to say.. then you could be pregnant and the spotting could be implantation bleeding.

I have the paragard. It's a copper non hormonal iud. I've had it since the beginning of February. I had the strings cut again on my check up, but other than that I've had no issues. It's my favorite birth control that I've used.

Also taking birth control (Mircette) continuously for period suppression (ie, only 4 periods a year -- 3 months of active pills followed by a one week break.) Sex Hormone Binding Globulin - 306 (high) Testosterone, Free - 1 (low) Testosterone, Free Percent - .3 (low) Testosterone, Total - 41 T3 - 229 (high) Thyroxine, Free - 1.5 TSH - 1.22 How is it that my T3 is elevated and the other be fine?

Ive heard a lot of bad things about the vaginal but I haven't really heard anything about the arm.

t had my period on my own for over a year now, and even stopped getting it while still on Mircette (birth control). My OB moved us onto a fertility specialist ASAP and with a moderate PCOS diagnosis, despite no cysts, I am waiting for my first beta blood test tomorrow to see if our round 1 of IVF was successful. I wish you much luck and persistence to get answers from your doctors! Remember...you know your body best!

I am finding it absolutely impossible to find a "natural" birth control for after my baby is born. I spent a lot of time looking up the copper iud and there are some pretty terrible reviews! I don't do well with hormones and I'm not completely sure having my tubes tied is the right choice... So I'm curious if any of you ladies have a method you prefer? ve been told that its 1mg of norethindrone is still pretty androgenic especially for those who already have an imbalance. Would Mircette be an option with desogestrel being less angrogenic? Also, any experience with prescribed HALF tab of OC? (ie. instead of Loestrin 1/20.. use 0.5/10 for hormonal imbalance?) Just concerned about initial breakout. Just some background... I have not used OC previously.

I work in the medical field yet I have been blind to my own symptoms. I am 47 and on Mircette for birth control and as a prophylactic for migraines - so I do not have a period. For the past three months or so I have been waking at 3am (despite 100 mg Trazadone that had been working fairly for several years) soaked in sweat. Sorry for the run-on sentence. Anyway, I attributed this to stress and a worsening of my Anxiety NOS.

Do not put that in you EVER...I had the five year plan the hormonal IUD Mirena and I had it only for 4yrs. After I had it removed I got pregnant 11 months later only to find out I ended up with a blood clock outside of the placenta!!! I truly believe it's from the birth control because after my fourth year of removal I went through three months. Bleeding nonstop only blood clots!! Don't do it !!!

Hello! I have been taking birth control pills (Sprintec) nonstop for 7 years now. I am currently in Europe (will be here for a while) and I am about to run out of pills. I have not found a doctor here yet who can prescribe me more. I am also not able to get in contact with my OBGYN in America. Everyone I talk to here (family, friends, etc.) say that I should just take a break from BC.

Typically my period is on the day my app says it should start or the day after. I stopped birth control Oct 18. Any help or advice?
