mircette

Avatar n tn I just recently had a baby on Sept 5, I have a prescription for birth control but I am not sure when to start taking them. I think the nurse at the hospital told me to start taking them on the third Sunday after the baby, but I am not sure. Can you help me?
525501 tn?1212432217 m wondering if this is common and what types of birth control cause it, and how long it takes to get your period back!?
Avatar m tn For the past 10 days I have had light brown discharge non-stop, bloating, and bad stomach cramps. I was on Azurette birth control for about a year and then I switched to Mircette(this is my first pack); so I was wondering if the switch could have anything to do with it even though they are basically the same birth control. I am due for my period on Tuesday the 29th. I am very confused as to why this is happening so I'm wondering if you have any ideas or explanations!
Avatar f tn I have been on birth control for 6-7 years, about a month or 2 ago i was switched from ortho lo to a generic (tri-previfem), I have been having issues with weight gain and bloating. Could this be caused by the birth control? I exercise daily and still have problems with losing weight. I dont know what to do?
Avatar f tn I hust started a new pack of birth control pills this month. I used to take tri-lo-sprintec tablet generic for (ortho tri-cyclen LO) for the past 6 six years, but in Michigan we do not have it in generic form anymore. Therefore this month i started taking Eth estradi/norgestimate and I feel very lazy and sleepy all the time and I see that I have been gaining weight. My question is is what I am taking now the same as what I was taking before because that is what the pharmacy told me?
1019152 tn?1336074292 Just wondering if anybody has taken syeda for birth control, and if you experienced any unwanted side effects.Nausea, weight loss/gain?My daughter is now taking this, and wanted to know about any side effects that anybody has experienced .
Avatar f tn Hi, are you on birth control? I was on Mircette to regulate my cycle and because it wasn't "strong enough" I spotted mid cycle. I also spotted on the Depo shot so it could be birth control. You are not pregnant from giving a hand job.. unless you took the semen and inserted it into your vagina which I doubt you did. If you did have sex and just don't want to say.. then you could be pregnant and the spotting could be implantation bleeding.
Avatar f tn but i would like to share this with you lamictal and trileptal do affect birth control pills and vise verse i.e. you can get pregnant using these as they reduce the effectiveness of birth control pills by 40%to 50% ,,,,,,,,,,also (which done me a great harm) the birth control pills reduce the effect of BP meds up to 50% also. i read on some site (but i cannot remember which) that birth control pills can affect most of psychiatric meds.
Avatar f tn I actually was on this birth control for the very first time as well before I switched to the generic brand of Lo Lestein Fe. I had the bleeding here and there, but I was still experiencing the cramps which was the main reason I went on birth control in the first place. Maybe when you go to the doctor you should mention switching to the generic kind of this birth control. I hope this helps & good luck to you!
Avatar f tn Also taking birth control (Mircette) continuously for period suppression (ie, only 4 periods a year -- 3 months of active pills followed by a one week break.) I am having trouble interpreting my latest labs with my thyroid and sex hormones... Sex Hormone Binding Globulin - 306 (high) Testosterone, Free - 1 (low) Testosterone, Free Percent - .3 (low) Testosterone, Total - 41 T3 - 229 (high) Thyroxine, Free - 1.5 TSH - 1.22 How is it that my T3 is elevated and the other be fine?
Avatar f tn I'm not sure what country you're in but birth control pills are prescription only in the USA. You wouldn't be able to get them without a prescription. Also doctors like to do some type of exam before just writing a script to make sure you don't have any obvious problems that would preclude you from getting on the pill. There's no way to get around the insurance issue. If you want to pay less via insurance then it would be in the records and your family would see.
Avatar n tn I'm on Avaine Birth control; it is a generic brand. I can not seem to lose weight!! I exercise 30-40 mins a day and I sweat buckets!! I watch my calories!! Can no weight lost be from some little birth contol pill??!?! I'd rather not come off the pill because I love the lighter periods and actually knowing when my period is going to come! Any help with how I can lose weight? I'd like to lose 10 lbs in 2 months. I think that is sensable.
1371539 tn?1281268141 t had my period on my own for over a year now, and even stopped getting it while still on Mircette (birth control). My OB moved us onto a fertility specialist ASAP and with a moderate PCOS diagnosis, despite no cysts, I am waiting for my first beta blood test tomorrow to see if our round 1 of IVF was successful. I wish you much luck and persistence to get answers from your doctors! Remember...you know your body best!
Monster Hi, I have been on seasonique (generic) for over a year now. Ever since that time my body has gone down hill with a lot of things such as skin problems, nail problems, hair dryness, no libido. I was wondering if it could be the seasonique doing it?
Avatar m tn I went off birth control 5 months ago after being on it 15 years. As soon as I stopped I had terrible symptoms and am still having them. When I ovulate and menstrate I get extreme anxiety and all the symptoms of pms. Can anyone relate or help at all?
Avatar m tn ve been told that its 1mg of norethindrone is still pretty androgenic especially for those who already have an imbalance. Would Mircette be an option with desogestrel being less angrogenic? Also, any experience with prescribed HALF tab of OC? (ie. instead of Loestrin 1/20.. use 0.5/10 for hormonal imbalance?) Just concerned about initial breakout. Just some background... I have not used OC previously.
Avatar f tn Is it okay to start yesterday? Also is it safe to skip periods while on birth control every once in a while? Purposefully? Meaning you start another pack immediately? I'm so confused why I have yet to receive my monthly gift. Just hoping the BC regulates me. Any information or advice regarding my questions would be much appreciated. Also would like to touch on the low lobido and vaginal dryness per this pill, I'm on the generic version mononessa.
Avatar f tn For a few hours after taking my birth control the last couple of days I've experienced sharp and shooting pains in my vagina and lower right side of my abdomen. It usually lasts for about 12 hours and starts out gradual and then gets worse as time goes on. I usually take my pill around 4pm every day and around 6pm I start to feel it coming on.
Avatar f tn I had to go back to the oobgyn. I was having issues with high blood pressure when put on birth control. The obgyn took me off pills. It wasn't for me. I'd go to your doctor again and tell the.
Avatar f tn Hello, If you have missed your periods for so long then you should get an evaluation done from a gynecologist and you should get a serum HCG test done to rule out any pregnancy and if the symptoms persist then hormonal imbalance due to switching birth control pills should be ruled out. There is always a risk of pregnancy by switching birth control pills and you should stick to one form of birth control pills. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn Hi, I am on generic Sprintec 28 birth control. I recently started my period today, it has a clear mucus mixed in. Is this normal?
Avatar n tn Hello. I'm 25 year old female. I've never been pregnant, and I'm currently on birth control. Generic of Ortho Tri-Cyclin. I've been on it for 8 years now. Just recently my breasts have been sore and I've notices some bumps on my breast on my nipple area. Is this normal? My period should be due in about 5 days.
Avatar n tn I have a question about the birth control pill. I am currently on Yaz and have been for about 6 months now. Last month, I missed a pill but made it up the next day when i remembered. I did this two times the entire month but on seperate weeks (both times making up the pill the next morning). I also was not able to take it at the exact same time each night due to busy schedule.
Avatar f tn What kind of birth control pill are you on? I have been on both Tri-Spintec (generic Ortho Tri-Cyclen) + Ortho Try-Cyclen Lo, and I know that if you miss 2 or 3 days of the pills, it will give you an early period. Were you taking it consistently before those days that you missed? And did you have sex after those missed pills? Either way, I think that it is probably because you missed those two pills, but if you want to know for sure go pick up a pregnancy test.
Avatar f tn I'm 19 and have been taking birth control pills (a generic version of Yaz) for several years for acne. It's worked well, and I rarely get breakouts. However, I recently became sexually active and it's sometimes a pain remembering to take them at the same time daily. I've been looking into more longtemr birth control solutions.
Avatar f tn I work in the medical field yet I have been blind to my own symptoms. I am 47 and on Mircette for birth control and as a prophylactic for migraines - so I do not have a period. For the past three months or so I have been waking at 3am (despite 100 mg Trazadone that had been working fairly for several years) soaked in sweat. Sorry for the run-on sentence. Anyway, I attributed this to stress and a worsening of my Anxiety NOS.
Avatar n tn I just remembered that the lower dose continuous birth control pill is called Seasonique, which I believe just went generic a few months ago. You can choose to have periods or continue without them based on your choice.
538782 tn?1213809348 Hi. I just thought that I would suggest getting the name brand. I know that they are more expensive but at the same time if the generic hasn't helped maybe it is worth a shot. I know that birth control and clomid aren't the same but I have found that name brand versions of them are better than the generic, maybe this applies for the clomid as well..
