The one thing that I think is fairly common is nerve compression called Trigeminal neuralgia. This is a big reason we get jaw pain.
Before this happed I had a red spot on the roof of my mouth that felt like it move to my throat and cause a very mild pain when swallowing but really keep me from eating or smoking. Now I have pain in my jaw when I open my mouth. I think I have a bad bite but still I never had jaw pain. I'm really stresses out about this whole situation and I just wanna know should I get tested at six weeks and should I be worried?
hello, im a 24 yr old male,drink quite a bit of beer, 6ft, 212lbs, and cholesterol of 245, high triglycerides. I've been having left side chest pain that has been in the same exact location for about a year and half now, that radiates to left arm, mostly inner left arm, and left hand, and left jaw. Palpitations, pvc's, and rapid heartbeat that wakes me during night. sometimes when i have the severe left side chest pain, especially after night of drinking, i have sweats, and naseu.
I have the tightness of the chest, shortness of breath, back pain, and the pain traveling to my jaw and teeth. I have been to the cardiologist and have had a stress test, and echogram. They had some question on my blood pressure readings from the stress test, so I have a heart cath done. All came back normal. The episodes are now occurring more frequently, 2-3 times a month, and the next day I don't feel so well. Can anyone help, any suggestions on what I am dealing with?
the left side of my neck hurts toward the side (main muscle/tendon going down from the jaw to the shoulder, and under my jaw, from what I can tell is inside my jaw. there are ridges on my jaw towards my chin that hurt, and also the space in between my jaw hurts. Don't know if it is glandular or tmj related. odd stuff. Cannot see my doc until next Thursday. anything that I can do?
I'm new here and hoping someone could have some answers for me. I am 57 yr old female, slightly overweight with, arthritis, mild copd, fibromyalgia and in menopause and Barrett's esophagus. In June I had weird heart palpitations one night watching tv, and 2 days later spreading chest pain and pain in my left jaw. Called my dr and he ordered a echocardiogram which I had done.
I do have the same type of problem, Inner Ear pressure, Neck and Headaches, A sore thraot and only now the jaw pain/pressure is extra, but it is a definate allergyto me, physio don't help stress relievers a bit, but an Anthistamien is the answer, takes a while before it clears up and then stay away for a while till the next one hits you .....
She gets sweating wlile walking app 200m distence for last 5-6 years. so her stress test was done. baseline ECG is normal. On Bruce protocol she could walk for upto 2 min on treadmill. There were no ECG changes during test, but during recovery phase she developed ST depression with T inversion in II, III, AVF , I, aVL and V2 to V6 for 10 min. She was not having chest pain at that time.
She is undergoing Cor angio shortly. What is the probability that she can have Triple vessel disease?
I had a treadmill stress test 2 weeks ago. Dr. Says it showed probable ischemia. I lasted about 6 min, hit my target heart rate, but had fairly intense pain in my jaw/neck (7+) and very labored breathing. She now is sending me for cardiolite stress test, which my ins initially didn't want to cover. Is this because it isn't necessary or because they feel I should be getting a different test?
I find my jaw stiffens and the pain also effects my ear but for me it is being caused by my recent Lyme dx and it's stress. I didn't have it until about 3-5 days after dx. I use a bite splint when needed.
My Daughter is a dentist and recommends the less expensive ones you can buy in your local drug store much less of a cost as the custom made ones and just as effective.
The pain starts in my chest slightly to the LEFT of my sternum. Sometimes the pain radiates to my back but mostly I get the pain in my chest, then my left jaw and teeth start to hurt and I end up with a head ache. Sometimes it lasts a few seconds, sometimes for 3 or 4 minutes. Sometimes I go weeks without and then I'll go where they come in waves all afternoon or evening for several days. Sometimes I am almost ready to call 911 (I'm alone) but then I think I shouldn't.
I recently found out I have an enlarged heart (>55%) when I went to a cardiologist because of jaw pain and heart palpitations. I am a 29 year old female, my total cholesterol is 152 and HDL is 77. Blood pressure is normal. My parents both have high blood pressure and high cholesterol, and my paternal grandfather died of a heart attack in his 50s. The jaw pain is only on the right side and only when I exercise, but the palpitations can be anytime.
Can you tell me what it indicates if a person could not get their heart rate up to the desirable number during an echo stress test during the treadmill portion. It is a male age 36 with insulin dependent diabetes since age 6. He has a tendency to have slow heart rate and could not exceed the mid 150's during the treadmill no matter how they kept making him work harder. He is 5'7" and weighs about 155 and is very active.
There is much information of what constitutes a significant ST segment depression during stress test. It is generally acknowledged tht ST segment depreciation greater than (1 mm) that persists for more than .08 seconds is suggestive of CAD.
If the depression of (2 mm) is used as a criterion the number of false positives is greatly reduced, BUT the number of false negatives results increase.
I have been have episodes of left chest pain and jaw pain for about 2 months. I have had a stress echo which was normal. I had a cardiac ct with calcium scoring in which my calcium score was 0 and my arteries were clear ( they couldn't see my right coronary artery completely but they assured me it wasn't my heart). I have been on Nexium for my stomach and have been referred to a GI doctor but I continue to have this pain and jaw tightness.
I have typical symptoms of effort and stress induced chest pain since last June, but I had a treadmill stress test on last Monday and it was concidered as negative. I am not sure if it was really negative. The total exercise time was 7:16 minutes and there was a ST depression of 2,8mm at the 2nd part of the test. I managed to reach the maximum heart rate for my age 179, but I told to the physician that I had discomfort. Just before starting the test I had a resting heart rate 116.
I'm a 24 yr old male, 5ft 11inches, 215lbs, and the past year or so I've been very inactive. I've been experiencing this left side chest pain and left arm pain for about 2 yrs now. It's very localized to one spot on the left side of my chest and doesn't reproduce the pain from pressing in the area. I've seen 4 cardiologist, and 2 cardiologist nurse practioners.
