observation if another biopsy done in 04/09 shows increase in positive cores to 3 or more or if any one core shows 50%+ positive for cancer? Also, is there any current opinion regarding use of Avodart or Proscar while in Watchful Waiting mode? I understand there would be a likely reduction in PSA, but that new PSA baseline be established and return to monitoring of PSA velocity. Not sure what, if any, benefit this would provide.

my 12 yr old is currently seeing an oncologist as he a lesion on his right mandible which they described in ct scan as high potential of sinister pathology, he had one biopsy which came back with nothing nasty and then he had another biopsy where they have taken 3 samples and swabs ,we dont get results til the 11th aug.. can anyone tell us do you think this is cancer as sarcoma?? was written in his notes ,i just want to be prepared for my sons sake.

Hi there, i'm 19 years old and I took saw palmetto for about 5 days because it is known to increase sex drive and help with erectile function. After 5 days of use, it lowered sex drive and made my erectile dysfunction way worse. I just need to know if this is at all permanent. Has anyone else had experiences with this? I only took it for 5 days so im not as worried but I just dont know at this point. Any help is really appreciated.
I've been on (1 month on 0.5mg, 15 days for 1mg) Fin for almost 1.5 months. 25 years old, 60 Kg (~130 pounds). This means that I am skinny and can feel my bones almost everywhere. I have no visible growth of nipples, they are also totally normal (no itching, no swelling, etc...). I felt some chest discomfort when I began with Fin but now it's way way better than before; say like twice a week.

Have you been diagnosed by a mental health professional (a general doc is not a mental health professional). Your dose of Effexor is getting very high. You are right now on two of the strongest and most difficult of all antidepressants to take and stop taking, paroxetine and effexor, and both target serotonin in ways that is very strong and is why they are so hard to stop taking. You need a different doctor ASAP, in my opinion, and a psychiatrist at that.
If his bladder contracts, and/or there is an obstruction, and pills are ineffective, then he may certainly need the TURP or a similar procedure to relieve the obstruction. The alternative is continued intermittent catheterization, while adding a second drug Proscar to try to shrink the prostate and get him voiding. This is not the best alternatives because studies show that prostates respond best to there drugs like proscar if they are 40 grams or larger and it takes 6-12 months to work .
5 days later he had prostrate problems and ended up leaving the hospital with a catheter. He ended up with an infection and after taking proscar and flowmax for 5 months (and using the single use catheter) he went in for an opening of the urethra. He since has had recurrent bladder infections, terrible gas and bloating. He is still on nitrofurantion (2 pills a day for 5 days) one pill a day for 30. He has no relief. He is up every night with terrible pains.
I have developed a NUMB Bladder...the sensation to urinate is getting VERY Slight almost non existent. I had a MICTITRITION study in July 2015 it didnt reveal much of concern. I al TAKING testosterone therapy AXIRON and my levels are usually NORMAL of T on the AXIRON. BUT in the past 2 years my sensation on oregasm is VERY decreased, and inthe past year I notice a much smaller amount of semen. I DO have a SLIGHLY enlarged prostate, I DO have pre- diabetes, I do take Verapamil, and a small dose of Atenolol . I do take PROSCAR. HOWEVER NO new medications were added i nthe pats YEAR and the DECREASE in amount of semen and sensation has been during this YEAR.
Any more frequent than that I will see my doctor again. BTW, I noticed one of the treatments for this condition is beta blockers, which I am already taking daily (for PVC), along with alpha blockers and Proscar for BPH. Thanks again for your input.

m fatigued, I have next to no libido at all (Which is what is hurting our marriage), weight gain, worsening gynocomastia, extreme irritability and I desperately want to feel better. I haven't felt normal for almost 2 years and my irritability is sooo difficult to control. After counseling, after anti-depressants, My am testosterone level is 298. My evening level my physician wanted to draw is pending. I've had to push him to consider other options.
