observation if another biopsy done in 04/09 shows increase in positive cores to 3 or more or if any one core shows 50%+ positive for cancer? Also, is there any current opinion regarding use of Avodart or Proscar while in Watchful Waiting mode? I understand there would be a likely reduction in PSA, but that new PSA baseline be established and return to monitoring of PSA velocity. Not sure what, if any, benefit this would provide.

My question is, is this drug only prescibed in the US? I myself had never heard of it here in the UK. Does anybody know if it perhaps has another name here in the UK or do we just not use the drug? I currently take Diazapam or Ativan for extreme attacks but it would be nice to have something to take on a regular basis that does the same thing but without the same addictive qualities and to perhaps stop me from getting myself into a state in the first place? Hi, I switched from Effexor XR to Venlafaxine ER (extended release) - this is available in the generic form. I live in switzerland though so maybe it isn't available in the UK yet as this was only available to me at the beginning of 2009 when the patent was up. I had the same problems with both Effexor and Venlafaxine so my psychiatrist added Wellbutrin extended release and this eased the symptoms significantly as I was also feeling depressed and suicidal.

I am in the UK and have been on a generic levothyroxine for a couple months and have been suffering from sweats/flushing/aches/etc. Went to doctor yesterday and just about demanded to be given the branded one which is Eltroxin. Success - I now have two months supply of it and I am desperately hoping that the side effects I have been experiencing on the generic disappear. It is worth trying to get the branded one just to see if it does make a difference.

(Same as in Effexor XR) The patent on Effexor XR ran out about 8 months ago and now other pharm companies can make generic extended release Effexor. In the last 7 years Effexor XR has made Weith Pharm company 3.5 Billion dollars per year. That Billion not Million. Now you can see why other pharm companies are so eager to get their generic version to market.

s for benign prostate enlargement, and the results were rather mixed. Then Proscar came along and pretty much ended that debate. Saw Palmetto has faded into the background - it's possible you affected your DHT levels, but it will definitely only be temporary. I quit Proscar for that reason, best not to fool around with sex hormone levels, in my opinion.
