is elisa test reliable

If the laboratory does DUO test - is possible, that laboratory used of 1st. or 2nd. generation ELISA test + p24 antigen, without 3rd generation ELISA? Or everytime must be used 3rd generation ELISA?

May i please know how reliable is ELISA test done in a private pathological laboratory. I got my self tested last month - negative after approx 6 months of potential exposure. I am still worried.

So how much reliable is rapid test after 8 months from last risk.I want to get knowledge on HIV tests as these are very important and deponds up on the condition and mine was - test after 8 months, and suddenly after 4 months i mean total one year after my last risk i am suddenly sick i am having fever and its from past 15 days i am worried about my test as antibodies can aslo developed after 8 months.

Hey Doc, I did an ELISA test after day 11 of a potential risk exposure to HIV. Vaginal Sex. The test result came on non-reactive. How reliable is the ELISA test result after day 11th of exposure. It has been 42 days since my result came out. I do not seem to be suffering from flu like symptoms except for the allergic rhinitis which i get every morning or sore throat or even fever. Shall i get a second test done or is day 11th post exposure elisa test results is good enough? Kindly advise.

the most recent Rapid test or the first ELISA test? Aren't they supposed to have the same results? How could one tested positive and the other negative two weeks after?! I am so worried.

test was done with ifa method. and my question is it reliable method and 5 weeks more test what percentage is aquracy? plus i didnt have ars fever some ars symptoms i had but just infection maybe fever never went more than 37.4 and it was changing all the time. and as i try to remmeber i thinki that my vaginal sex was protected (hope) my question is stil about ifa method ? is it good method and what would be aquracy?

before a week i took hiv test and it came negative.but the test name is eclia and not elisa. is eclia is more accurate than elisa? since i got negative i am safe and i need not worry about it or do i need to test once again? please answer me in detail.

Third or fourth generation ELISA antibody test alone is enough and conclusive, when done after 3 months mark. WB test is ordered mostly when ELISA comes positive.

Only RPR or an IgG (ELISA) test are done for initial testing. TPHA is done only to confirm a positive RPR or IgG. If you have had a negative RPR or IgG 6 weeks or more after the last possible exposure, then for sure you do not have syphilis and should not have any more testing. It is time for you to get beyond your obvious obsession following a zero risk exposure. No ongoing comments or discussion on this thread.
