m not an expert, but i do (hopefully did) have 1b...my dr said that 1a needs one mutation to replicate while 1b needs 2 mutations to replicate making 1a more difficult to treat.

As i said I have genotype 1b. I still dont really understand what 1a and 1b really means. Is 1b harder to be treated than 1a or viseversa. Im also willing to do any trails take one for the team.

Also, the type of interferon used is different than that in Betaseron. Betaseron is interferon beta-1b NOT interferon beta 2-b. These little points are important.
