one study i looked at said that a dose of 30 micrograms/week of IM interferon beta-1a was well tolerated but a dose of 60 micrograms/week caused severe flulike symptoms and elevated liver enzymes. im assuming that this type is similar to infergen, really strong. it seems like pegasys and pegintron dosages are somewhat similar.

Hi there, last time I posted I was talking about my husband not really showing response to his 4 week tx. He was told to continue until week 12 and then they would let him know if he's going to continue tx. Thanks to you, we asked the question as to wether or not he could increase his dosage and his nurse called back and said the doctor thought that was a great idea.... Now, why didn't the doctor mention this... just shows we have to be on our toes.

Even though you had low baseline viral load and was RVR? What was your baseline? Remind me. I know you were looking for studies for geno 1b RVR low viral load. Did your research make you decide to go the full 48?

I did 400mg 600mg ribiviran daily, incivek 12 weeks, interferon, same dosage all thru tx. It was my first tx. Had horrible sx, rash, nausea, depression, irritable and mean, insanity, hair loss. I will get copies of my labs. I'm feeling pretty good now. Just trying to get my brain functioning.

As i said I have genotype 1b. I still dont really understand what 1a and 1b really means. Is 1b harder to be treated than 1a or viseversa. Im also willing to do any trails take one for the team.
