Interferon beta 1b isoelectric point

Common Questions and Answers about Interferon beta 1b isoelectric point

betaseron

198419 tn?1360242356 I am no expert, but since three of the CRAB drugs are interferon beta (either 1a or 1b), they should all have the similar benefits/risks.
Avatar f tn Also, the type of interferon used is different than that in Betaseron. Betaseron is interferon beta-1b NOT interferon beta 2-b. These little points are important. Also, in discussing male sperm counts and motility one must consider many, many factors - not just the most notable med the person is on. A man's sperm count and activity may be affected by things we don't even think about like temperature, alcohol, depression, meds like anti-depressants or antihypertensives.
26471 tn?1211936521 Apparently, these factors are already in place before we even begin tx, especially in geno 1b. There are two 1b amino acid switches that may be predictors of nonresponse, and may be the reason why 1b is a little tougher to clear.
Avatar m tn The HCVerso clinical trial program includes two pivotal Phase 3 IFN-free studies that will enroll approximately 1,000 treatment-naive HCV genotype-1b (GT-1b) patients, including those who are interferon eligible or ineligible.
1149087 tn?1415316549 s the interferon part of the med which causes depression, so yes, I would expect that Betaseron (interferon-beta-1b) would be more likely than Rebif to cause the problem as it is the highest dose of all. You are very welcome - in all ways.
Avatar n tn As i said I have genotype 1b. I still dont really understand what 1a and 1b really means. Is 1b harder to be treated than 1a or viseversa. Im also willing to do any trails take one for the team.
Avatar m tn Was on Incivic for 48 weeks with riba ad interferon. Showed undetected for 9 months but at 6 months after treatment, showing detected. Docs have suggested Harvoni now, but at 12 weeks with riba. Is this typical of should I be doing 24 weeks?
Avatar m tn Another VIC-tory. Thanks for posting. It gives me encouragement. Now, did they stop your interferon at some point during treatment? Was it for low neutophils? Please refresh my memory. I really want to know all the details once someone is UND post treatment Were you compliant - did you miss many dosee? Did you have to use procrit or reduce the riba (what was your HGB) If off interferon, for how long? Again, congrats on the Vic(trelis)tory.
Avatar m tn Metavir A3/F3 means you have severe liver inflamaton and septal fibrosis or advanced liver disease stage 3 which is one stage below cirrhosis. You are from Kenya and the most common genotype is 4. Currently, they are treating that genotype with interferon and ribavirin as well as genotype 2 & 3. If you are genotype 1, the standard of care is triple therarpy using a protease inhibitor, either Victrelis or Incivek in conjunction with interferon and ribavirin.
1815939 tn?1377991799 in recent phase II DAA studies, IL28B status still mattered in predicting outcome in genotype 1 patients being treated with interferon-free regimens. .....subtype 1b patients, responsiveness was excellent across the board, regardless IL28B status. By contrast, those subtype 1a patients with non-CC IL28B genotypes did poorly compared with those with the CC genotype who performed as well as the 1b subjects.
Avatar f tn Hi, my daughter diagnosed hep C in 2007, she has geno type 1B. They ran a bunch of test before start her treatment. The test came back with genotype is 6 !!! Where is the 1B go? we gonna see her doctor in couple weeks. Is anyone experience something like this? Is the 1B is gone or, she hase both 1B and 6 now...... Any input is appreciated... W.
Avatar m tn The current guidelines for treating Genotype 1a or 1b is the triple medication regimen using Interferon, Ribavirin, and a protease inhibitor (either Incivek or Victrellis). The triple med regimen has been the treatment for Genotype a since June 2011. (Approved in May 2011).
Avatar m tn s first interferon-free regimen for genotype 1 (1a and 1b) patients by the end of 2014 or beginning of 2015, pending regulatory discussions. " It looks to me as though there could be several forms of interferon free treatment on or about 2015; Vertex, Gilead, possibly BMS or Abbott and possibly a few others.
Avatar m tn Today, Gilead announced that 9/9 previous null responders to interferon/ribavirin achieved SVR4 (UND 4 weeks post treatment) when treated with GS-7977, GS-5885 and ribavirin for 12 weeks. This data is from one of the ELECTRON study arms. I want to know how many of these 9 patients were GT 1a/1b. Does anybody have a link to this information?
