19318880 tn?1475686307 Im 23 years old and was diagnosed with pcos 2 years ago i have even surgery to remove the cysts. My ovaries are 97% covered in ovarian cysts. Everyday life has discomfort and pain, but when i am on my menstrual cycle it really does a number on my body. I need relief. I have trouble looseing weight its so frustrating. I am kn fertility medicine to help me and my husband get pregnant. The medicine isnt working.
Avatar f tn He seemed to think that most of my pain and discomfort was more from the endometreosis rather than the cysts! This surprised me. My sister with the breast cancer keeps telling me to just take everything out now, so I never have to worry about the cancer, but the doctor keeps saying, we should only take the very minimum for as long as possible. This surprised me. Anyone have any thoughts?
10299247 tn?1409208876 They are ovarian cysts I have had them for about a year now. And if I walk to stand for to long they hurt so bad like really bad cramps only on the left and right side never anywherr else and its always in the same spot.
Avatar f tn You should not be left to that kind of pain without a solution for at least relief from the pain. If you cannot walk, go to the bathroom etc, how much worse does it need to get? I vote second opinion.
Avatar f tn Thanks for answering me. I'm thinking it's possibly gas pains. Today has been one of the easiest days. Definitely taking it easy.
Avatar n tn Heat was always very helpful for me. Both hot baths and microwave heat packs can get you some pain relief. But, if the pain persists, you should go back to your doctor see if anything has changed. If your cyst has grown or changed, it could account for the pain. Sometimes, doctors will give your birth control pills to try to help reduce the cyst and prevent others from forming. Hopefully, your doctor can help you find a solution! I hope you feel better soon!
1046985 tn?1305117048 In the last 6 months since I've had ovarian cysts, I have been putting on weight, with no actual change in my diet. This alone is very depressing, without all the pain and everything else that comes with this condition. My job requires me to be walking all day, around a 2000 metre furniture store, where I can easily rack up 7000 steps on my pedometer.
1294482 tn?1354489288 Hello, I cant really answer your question but I too have just had a scan and been told I have a 2.8cm cyst, though the nurse that did scan wasnt sure what sort of cyst it was? said it could be follicle cyst , i have to now wait up to 2 weeks for the results to be faxed to my dr then discuss what to do. I have NO pain and the only reason I went for a scan was because I havnt had a bleed this month and was on provera and clomid last month and think the clomid may have caused this.
362408 tn?1236441081 as they were fully booked i explained i was experiencing discomfort and they said to go to my doctors for pain relief, this i will do tomorrow as its getting unbearable now it hurts more when im ovulating, on my period and fertile so i dont have alot of time when im not in pain!
Avatar n tn Yes I too have had this kind of pain and it almost makes me pass out, it is from my cysts, if you have to make your doctor do tests on it do so , and stress how much pain you are in ,don't take no for an answer, cysts bust and get twisted and have how can I put it , it's like a stickery bush , going through and or twisting in my fallopian tubes, Ouch is not the word for it , there is relief and you make your doctor listen to you, if they don't ,find one that will.
Avatar f tn Was everything ok with the baby
Avatar n tn I second seeing an GYN/Oncologist they not only deal with Cancer but Ovarian Cysts. I am sorry you are in pain. I hope you get relief soon.
Avatar f tn Yes, bloating and intense pain do belong to the symptoms of ovarian cysts. Try to drink an alchemilla herbal infusion 2x a day, you should get relief in few days! Also keep yourself warm, hot water bottle maybe. Good luck.
Avatar f tn I am new member but have been reading previous posts and am so glad to hear from others that understand what it is like to live with ruptured ovarian cysts! In the past twelve months, I have had five ruptured ovarian cysts (always on my left side) and had all the symptoms discussed by others. I had a cyst rupture a week ago today and it is the worst one I have ever had. The pain has been much worse than previous ruptured cysts and has lasted longer. Usually, my peak pain lasts a few days.
Avatar m tn You need to go see your gyn and have a pelvic ultrasound to see if you have ovarian cysts. Cysts can cause all the symptoms that you describe. You might check out the ovarian cyst forum. Make an appt with your gyn asap. good luck and let us know how you make out.
1046985 tn?1305117048 In the past 9 weeks, I have had numerous episodes of this excrutiating pain, and have been stuck in bed with megadoses of pain relief and heatpacks(the only thing that gives me some sort of relief). A couple of times I have wanted to go back to ER, but am to scared to, as once in hospital they don't give me enough pain relief, though no meds stop the pain.
Avatar n tn I agree with Valerie , you need to be proactive with your health and see your doctor about having a scan. Ovarian cysts are very common and sometimes dissappear by themselves after a couple of menstrual cycles but you need to know if you have them first and if not what is causing you the discomfort and pain you are experiencing. I hope you get some relief soon , let us know how you get on .
Avatar m tn So they send me thi smorning for an ultra sound where they found that I had a 2.5cm left ovarian cyst...they gave me percocet and a shot of pain med which they said i can keep getting if I need it before I got see my GYN.... they said it hadnt yet ruptured since they saw it on the ultrasound...the doctor tried telling me that I would know for SURE when it did rupture, but said that it wouldnt hurt, that istead i would know because i would feel a sense of relief.....is this true?
Avatar m tn ve been experiencing severe right side groin pain, lower back pain and pain going down the inner part of my upper thigh. My husband took me to the ER about 2 months ago and they said that I "probably" had a cyst that ruptured. ll continued to have pretty bad pain. I finally went to the doctors about 3 months into it and they scheduled a pelvic ultrasound which showed multiple (6-8) ovarian cysts and a lot of free flowing fluid in that area. That was the week before Christmas.

663380 tn?1225079707 I have seem MANY different doctors, been to the ER over 10 times for the horrible pain. 7 out of 10 times they found ovarian cysts. I am scheduled to have surgury to remove my ovary in about a week. I am very nervous. So you are not alone :) Stay strong.
Avatar f tn I know when I suffered from my ovarian cysts that I would get pain in the crook of my leg from the pressure. since you have had a complete hysterectomy I doubt that could be the problem unless an ovarian remnant was left behind. Wish I could help more there. I am also dealing with swelling in my ankles/feet/hands. My doctor has run arthritis tests and no dice and a host of other things. The only thing that came back is that my thyroid hormones are off.
Avatar f tn Mostly they are symptomless But Ovarian cysts can, however, cause problems if they twist, bleed, or rupture. Most ovarian cysts will go away on their own. One of the most effective treatments for ovarian cysts is use of contraceptive pills or progesterone pills. It can also be treated surgically and this procedure is known as drilling. Other modes of treatment are laparoscopic surgery, laparotomy or surgery for complicated ovarian cysts.
Avatar n tn will these resolve by themselves? Are these considered big cysts? I really dread to go through that pain again... Any help or sharing of experience in similar situation will be appriciated.
