PLEASE help. My question is do you think my child's liver, kidney, or heart could be damaged? How would I know?
Here is the story:
Greyson had a 102 fever for four days straight with no other symptoms while we were on vacation. I called the Dr.'s office in Florida and the receptionist who answered the phone just said to give him tylenol. That is what I had been doing-it would relieve the fever for just a bit but it would shoot right back to 102 as soon as it wore off.
My 18 week old baby girl has gerd although zantac has taken away the pain and carobel somewhat helps the vomiting. She is only 11lb 4oz and is in the 2nd centile. She only takes 4 5oz bottles of nutramigen 1 each day and when I try to give her more she just vomits it up due to her reflux. However she has extreme flatulence at night from 11pm right through until 7am. It is constance, is foul smelling and doesnt stop with the result neither she nor I sleep.
What's everyone's input on these? I'm a ftm. I'm 18w. Starting to look at what I'm interested in getting. I rly like the idea of the infant car seat because it's easier when their so little to get them out of the car and into the stroller. I like the convertible because you won't need to buy one for awhile.

Feeding aversion is a complex problem where an infant does not like to take food through the mouth. There is a higher risk of developing feeding aversion if the infant has been ill for a long time or has not been fed through the mouth for a long time. There are many medical or surgical conditions where feeding through the mouth needs to be avoided for awhile, but improve subsequently so that the infant can feed through the mouth later.
I know this is many many years after your post, but my son is experiencing the exact same thing. Did she eventually outgrow it? Did the Zantac help?
How do I overdose on zantac? I am supposed to take two and I was running late so I just poured some into my hand. Usually I always just get two out of the bottle. When I came back I counted my pills and I actually took 3. My stomach is now hurting. I am 15, and I don't know what to do? Please tell me if I am going to be okay.
I am going to use a graco infant car seat until the baby is about 3 mknths old then I am going to use the graco mysize 70 convertible car seat.
You can buy infant water with or without water.
We got discharged from hospital, apparently doctors think the low oxygen level is due to reflux. So we are giving Zantac to manage it. We got the sleep apnea monitor and the pulse oximeter at home. We never had any alarm on the apnea monitor. But the pulse oximeter shows saturation at 86-90 while the baby is in deep sleep. Doctors are also saying she will outgrow this soon.
We are trying him with all the usual treatments, - gaviscon, omeprozole, zantac, domperidon... you name it...- and he is responding to non of these, which is quite normal, some babies don't and just have to suffer til they grow out of it, and we can help as much as poss keeping them upright etc. His stools are totally liquid - understandably, (though usually there is some gritty bits in other babies I've looked after).
Would you recommend an 19 mo. old infant to use Tobradex for a chalazion? We just got a rx but we are not sure this is safe for an infant under two years old. The side effects for long term use mention glaucoma and vision problems? Should I be concerned about this?
I know that HIV virus can transmit from mother to infant through breast feeding , but can the HIV virus transmit from infant to mother? I have a friend, her baby suck a strange lady's milk when they went to the park oneday. When they came back home, my friend started worrying, if the lady is a HIV +, then baby will be infected.
Infant seats generally accommodate kiddos for the first 9-12 months depending on how fast they grow.
I personally will be skipping the infant seat this time in favor of a convertible seat that will last us much longer - the one my son uses now fits kiddos rear-facing from 5-45 lbs, forward-facing 5-point harness to 65lbs, and belt-positioning booster to 105lbs. It's an Evenflo Symphony 65 and I love it.
How far were you before you started to buy infant clothes? I'm only 4mths with my first & my excited mother is ready!!
