HI, I normally take 120 mgs of methadone daily ( been clean off opiates or over 6 months now), take 2mgs of Klonopins daily, and 50 to 100mgs of phenergan (promethazine or promethazine hyrochloride, ) , AND 0.2 mgs of Chlonodine a day,. . . . .AND, 200mgs oF seroquel ( but only used for sleep. Im prescribed all the meds so this pill i found which i knew was a Tramadol/Ultram 50 mgs. Is that safe? The only interaction that i am worried about is the methadone.

I was diagnosed with H pylori and have been on triple antibiotics- Amoxicillan, omeprazole, metronidazole. I am also on Sucralfate for acid control, promethazine for vomit control and Hydrocodone for pain control. Does this really sound like H. Pylori or is there a possibility that something else is going on?

I was given hydrocodone (Norco) along with promethazine (anti nuasea), just in case if they get too bad. I am going to a chiropractor as well as a massage thearapist. I am taking advil when needed. Could there be a negative drug interaction with klonopin, Norco and promethazine?

All opiates/opioids are cough supressants. Promethazine cough syrup can be compounded with either hydrocodone or codeine. Taking an occasional Vicodin while on treatment is not drug abuse.

You probably can take them together as they are different types of medication. Promethazine is for nausea and percocet is for pain. They will make you extremely sleepy, so be in bed and ready to rest. Hope you feel better soon.

My doctor has run many tests for autoimmune disorders and they all came back negative. I am on Arthrotech for hydrocodone for the pain and it works pretty well. About a year ago I had a bad flu and developed welts on my legs that turned into sores and then scarred over. Anyone else experiencing this?

I went to the ER on Sunday night, and was prescribed Phenagren for nausea, and when it was filled at the pharmacy they gave me Promethazine. I read about it and their not exactly sure of side effects on the fetus but said its okay to take before 38weeks gestation.. Well, even with my reservations about taking it, I have been, as prescribed, but the last two days, it hasn't worked! I've been throwing up EVERYTHING once again!

I'm still up, day 3 of wd's. yesterday was horrible; body aches, twitching etc. But I managed to fall asleep for several hours last night, after no sleep the night before. And today, i was tired, but no pain or tension, and I thought I was done. but it all came back tonight. It's 5:30am and still no sleep. by body is real twitching and achey. I have some promethazine, it's a antihistimine, used for treating nausea.

Not sure if this is right forum.... I have a question on this anti-nausea med... Last night I took it becuase i have been having bad stomach problems, and I wanted to sleep all night. It worked for the most part, but now its about 16 hours later, and im soooo damn tired still. Liek a sedated tired, and my whole body is 'running on fumes', no energy and weak.. i woke up groggy as hell, but i figured it would pass once i got to work....wrong...I had to struggle to keep my eyes open.

My doc prescribed that for me, and it definitly helped my nausea and sleepless nights. I wasn't able to sleep cause I was so nautious at night time. But that helped.

I take it at night and I still feel nauseous during the day. I take it during the day it takes no effect whatsoever, wth? ?!?!

I was switched to etodolac and promethazine for migraine treatment. I also take soma and neurontin for preventative measures. Good luck with your treatments!!

Any other mommys been prescribed promethazine for nausea/vomiting?

About 24 hours later I called poison control and was told if I made it this far I was fine because promethazine has a short halflife. About two weeks later the tremors went away. Now that I am back at college the tremors have came back and are worse. I think I might have brain atrophy or essential tremor. Although part of me thinks this may be hypochondria. I have a very bad family history of anxiety and think this may just be me over thinking causing/exaggerating what's going on.

well, my son will be 10 months old Thursday, and Promethazine makes me SUPER sleepy, and I can only take 1/2 a pill at a time. I'd at least ask about it, and hopefully it works for you.. congrats & good luck!

s be clear about form of promethazine as it comes in a liquid mainly for cough medicine promethazine w/codeine (promethazine w/codeine syrup is highly abused in our country) plain promethazine syrp, promethazine vc syrp and pill form. Zofran comes in a liquid as well, dissolvable tablets (AKA odt), and regular tablets. I would ask my doc for zofran, my friend took it for her full 9 months, she had morning sickness her entire pregnancy 24/7.

m currently in Promethazine for nausea (11 weeks) and I took it a lot when I was younger, I have Ulcerative Colitis.. which is another colon disease.. I don't see anything about it affecting pregnancy tests anywhere.. I wish you good luck though!!

Im nauseous now but need to cook dinner so Im debating on what to do cuz the smell of meat is going to make it worst.

I have a long history of taking tramadol, vicodin, norco, methadone, and then finally suboxone to get off of the opiates. I felt like it was a miracle pill the first time I took it. The doctors try to keep you on it for a long time. I tapered myself off of it in a month. My problem was basically about 6 to 8 norco(10/325) a day for a couple years straight. I then went to about 6 10mg Methadones a day. I don't know what you are trying to get off.

t use the promethazine for opiate nausea, but my sister who has sever issues with her kidneys and all sorts of woman-related stuff, is prescribed liquid codeine, but it makes her sick so the doctor has her on the promethazine, and to her it is a godsend. Promethazine, from what I understand, disassociates your stomach from your brain basically (in simple explanation) and eliminates any nausea.

Are there other symptoms present? Promethazine often causes sedation. However, it sometimes stimulates activity in patients, and may present with restlessness, palpitations, or inability to sleep, as in your case. Discontinuing the medicine and shifting to other OTC decongestants may help. Take care and do keep us posted.
