Hi I'm fourteen years old and I use to wear mascara a lot! Since then I've stopped because now my eyelashes are so weak and I hardly have any. They are so thin but long. I decided to buy an eyelash serum on eBay and it only made them worse. Now I've stopped wearing mascara and I apply almond oil everyday for the past week. My eyelashes are not growing back at all and occasionally three lashes come out a week. I don't know what to do! I don't want to lose my eyelashes.

there is a very fine hair that grows from the corner of my eye, i pull it out when it gets long enough to irritate but it returns. its not an eyelash, its not from my eylid at all its from the pink fleshy area in the corner of my eye. Everyone i talk to about this says it is not possible but i know it is. what in world is this?

But I wanted to get fake ones for a wedding that I was going to attend that day. I was told by the lady that placed the eyelashes not to rub on my eyes or to wash the area because they would come off right away. She told me they were suppose to last 20 days, because she did them one by one. Its already January 11,2010 and they have not fully fallen out i still have fake pieces letf. But When the fake ones started to come off, my real ones ended up falling off as well.
Hello, I am 23 years old and i have been pulling out my eyebrows and eyelash since i highschool, so i have been doing it for about 10 years now. So far, i have been very lucky that my eyebrows and eye lashes had came back fully. However, i strated to pulled them out again. I only do this when i am stess because of school. My first advise would be to consider taking a week or so off and see his ophthalmologist to see how the blepharitis is doing. Blepharitis is indeed a cause of eyelash loss. Consider reducing the scrubbing and trying more warm, moist compresses. Also sterilid gel or occusoft pads can be helpful. It is also possible that children can actually try to pull them out themselves. Finally, allopecia areata (sp) is a benign condition that can cause hair or lashes to fall out in just a confined area.
Thank you for your response. I did happen to go to the dermatologist 2 days ago and she said for the most part my eyelashes look fine. (however she never saw how thick they were before so she wouldn't really know) Anyway, I'm still pretty sure they're falling out, maybe not AS much. However, I have noticed they have gotten lighter and weaker. Will they ever return to normal??? I have worn no makeup at all for about 2 months and have been washing my eyes every day.

However, last visit hemorrhage on optic nerve found and added Alpgagan P to Lumigan, did not do a thing after 6 weeks, pressure 24 today. Dr. Stated Alphagan P was the best he could do with MEDS, and it did not do a thing so wants to do SLT which he says may not work or can make pressure worse. So if SLT does not work are my only options more riskier surgeries! Visual field gave been perfect for last 8 years, do not know if this hemorrhage has caused defects as yet!
I have taken Lumigan for open Angle Glaucoma for a couple of years in one eye only. In April the ophthalmologist asked me to put them in both eyes. I have no problems with that and my IOP is well controlled. However, I noticed my PVC's have gone up considerably since taken the drops. At first with only one eye I had about 15,000 per day, now with drops in both eyes they have gone up to almost 30,000 per day. There where no other medication changes during that time.
