On Feb 1 I developed a severe red scratchy throat, and I still had several mouth ulcers. I took Augmentin 500 3x/day for 10days. i just want to know if stress can cause ulcers. for how long is one supposed to be stressed to have ulcers. for the last 3 months i have been so stresed up(due to hiv exposure) to the point of taking antiacids-relcer gel and actals. i have been having this wierd feeling in the stomach, like burning which come out to the throatCancer - throat or larynx

Now it's more than 10 days from it and almost 6 weeks from when it originally started. Again, Im starting to cough again and every day when I wake up, my nose is fully blocked and throat full of mucus.

I first noticed these ulcers when I had a sore throat 3 months ago. I went to my GP and he told me they were either due to a viral or bacterial infection and would go on their own. He told me to gargle Corsodyl. I did and they haven't changed. I have also tried gargling salt water, L-lysine but nothing has helped at all.
The HIV patient has sore throat and throat ulcers. Immediately without sterilizing the equipment, the doctor used the same spoon like equipment to check my throat. I am taking Carafate for a gastric erosion with gastritis. All of the ppi medicines failed to help. How long should it take to see an improvement in symptoms with Carafate? I've only been on it for 4 days so far. I usually have pain everyday and have been dealing with this for about a year now.
We have the same sores and the same occurrence of them, but I am also getting the throat ulcers and he is not. In addition, I have noticed that I have had tonsilloliths for sometime, and I'm thinking that my tonsils are harboring some kind of bacteria or something. I've also wondered if it's possible that participating in oral activities could have made them occur more frequently on the throat.
Long story short, I was on vacation last week and went horseback riding for the first time Friday. I noticed after, I was so sore and uncomfortable. We flew home Saturday and Sunday i saw small ulcers on my vagina. One on my outer 'lip' and a couple on my perineum. No blisters, just sores. They aren't red or anything. Then I started to feel like I was getting a fever and I noticed my throat had white spots on my tonsils and it's hard to swallow.
On November 16, due to the efforts to cough I bleed a little bit. I noted dry throat and oral ulcers. And thrush (candida). I had my duo test for hiv and sifilis after 29 days from my first exposure being negative. The synthomps remain. I read that oral ulcers and thrush is connected with HIV. Could be other StD? I am in panic.
This time I went to the doctor because the back of my throat also had ulcers. The doctor swabbed one of the ulcers and said she was gonna send it to be tested for herpes and for shingles. She said if they didnt call then the tests were negative. So I didn't get a call, the ulcers slowly went away, and I was relieved. However, in the past week and a bit the ulcers have been reappearing, and the glands in my neck are swollen and painful.

The first time was about a month ago when I started feeling a grating feeling in the upper pallet of my throat just behind the top right hand last tooth. This then developed into a reddish patch with two small white ***** kind of strips and it lasted about 2-3 days and disappeared. When I have this it stings each time the tounge touches it and when I eat food etc etc.
Nope. You had no risk in regards to hiv. As long as you didn't have unprotected penetration, you are safe. Your sore throat and ulcers are not by hiv.
Moving forward, it is advised for people who are active sexually outside a monogamous relationship to test periodically. May I suggest you to do a full std + hiv test to avoid unnecessary fears like this in the future. I've been there once, anything and everything was hiv until I tested negative and moved on.
