lexapro

Avatar n tn has anyone been off lexapro and dose not have withdrawl symptoms anymore? How long does it take?
Avatar f tn I cut my does in half and took that for a week, then cut that half dose in half and took that for a week. I think I weaned too fast. how long does it take to get over the withdrawal symptoms, anyone have any experience with that? hopefully some encouraging news? thanks.
Avatar f tn well, benzo withdrawal lasts quite a few weeks for some people.....but i would be concerned that it isn't entirely withdrawal related. be sure you mention this to your doctor and see what they think. with the surgery you had and everything, it's best not to just assume it to be withdrawal. your dose of clonazepam is low if you meant 0.25mg's...the withdrawal probably wouldn't last long or be too severe. perhaps insomnia for a week or 2 and heightened anxiety.
Avatar f tn So, I'm just wondering how long withdrawal from Tramadol usually lasts. I have been doing a lot better lately; the brain zaps are very infrequent, and I usually feel okay on just 2mgs of Suboxone a day. I want to stop taking the Sub when the withdrawal from Tramadol should be over, but I heard that Tramadol withdrawal lasts longer than opiates. I'm getting excited because I might not even need an SSRI, as I am feeling much better from the Serotonin withdrawal symptoms.
Avatar n tn Some people get a whole carnival of withdrawal symptoms. As for how long it will last, nobody can tell you that. If it lasts too long or gets too hard to take, the protocol is to go back on the last dose at which you felt fine and taper down more slowly. See how it goes, but you're in control.
Avatar n tn i came off of an antidepressent and was really dizzy.. i was on lexapro.. it only lasted maybe two days.. just give it a little time.. if thats the worst you feel then you are lucky.!! hope that helps ya..
Avatar f tn Could be withdrawal, but also during the night our blood sugar changes as we sleep so maybe get it checked. Good luck!
Avatar n tn There are different approaches and it will depend on how long you veen taking it, how high your dose and your own body chemistry. Many places suggest cutting back no more than 10% at a time and stabilizing for two or more weeks before cutting back again. If 10% is too much to handle then do less and wait until you're doing pretty well before cutting back again. Be sure to talk it over with your doctor.
Avatar n tn Okay, here's my two cents worth. First, benzo withdrawal can last forever or never occur at all. There's no basis whatsoever for your psychiatrist telling you how long it lasts, because it's different for everyone. There is something called protracted withdrawal syndrome, and it's quite common with benzos. However, since you weren't on them that long and didn't take that much, I doubt you have that.
Avatar f tn It depends on how the Lexapro is affecting the person. Some people report drowsiness after taking it, in which case, obviously a bedtime dose makes more sense, whereas some report feeling more "up", energized, so those people do better with a morning dose. If you feel that you'd do better with a different administration time, ask your doc, I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem. It doesn't hurt to try something like that.
Avatar f tn I am experiencing stomach problems (especially in my morning), heartburn, indigestion, and a strange (heat) sensation in my chest area. Is this normal? What can I do to help? How long will this last? I am so tired of this.
Avatar m tn It's not whether the Lexapro is out of your system or not -- it only lasts a number of hours, so it's long gone. It's how easily your brain can adapt to working without the artificial action of the drug and go back to working normally. You don't have withdrawal from the Zoloft, you're still on it, that only comes when you decide to stop.
Avatar m tn I have never known xanax to do that? think it could be the adjustment to being off Lexapro? how much xanax you take? is this for anxiety or panic or both? and how long have you been on xanax?
Avatar f tn usually the prozac will cover the withdrawal from lexapro, but apparently not in your case. the most important fact is that you are getting better which means it will keep getting better, there is no relapse, so you will just have to stick it out.
Avatar f tn You might want to Google "lexapro withdrawal auntybiotic" and read through the hundreds of posts on the subject. My daughter just finished tapering off Lex six weeks ago so I've spent alot of time reading about it. She wasn't on it as long as you were but did a very slow taper (over several months) and is doing well. Some might suggest you go back on a dose that you last were ok on until you stabilize there for awhile then do a very slow taper.
19894882 tn?1486150524 Is there anyone else out there with a similar story? How long did it take you for the withdrawal symptoms to go away?
Avatar n tn My son wanted to get off antidepressants so the doctor suggested he go on prozac to counteract the wd from effexor.....(75mg) prozacs half life is 5 weeks , while effexors is less than 24 hours...so it's really hard to go off it especially if you have been on it for a while...even if they lower the dose to wean you it's pretty bad....withdrawal is awful. He's never been on Lexapro so I can't tell you if that will do the same thing...ease the withdrawal.
777975 tn?1236334919 I am now on my 3rd day of wellbutrin and I am still having really bad dizzyness, headaches and mind zaps I guess they are called like a charge of something all over me every few seconds or so especially when I am standing. I noticed this as soon as I started weaning off the lexapro and I imagine that it is withdrawal from that med. My question is how long could I expect to feel these symptoms as they are very annoying and the dizzyness or (mind zaps) are causing bad headaches and nausea.
Avatar f tn m out of pills, was also on Lexapro, ran out of both 2 days ago. Experiencing withdrawal now, and would like to know how long will it last. I live by myself in the country. Any advice will be welcomed. BTW, I HAVE been eating, mostly fruit. I'm still a little thing, about 105 lbs, and just turned 50 2 weeks ago. Thanks for the help.
Avatar n tn Is there anything I can do? Will it get better every day? How long will I have to endure this? I have ativan, 0.5mg I almost never took, for anxiety a week before my menstral cycle. I took maybe 2 tabs a month. I've read that it might help with this?
Avatar f tn You have a lot of misconceptions about how these drugs work. I think you've also gotten a very odd sense from someone that Zoloft caused your rectal bleeding but you say you were told it didn't cause the swelling. Lots of things can cause rectal bleeding, including hemorrhoids but also harder to find and diagnose anal fissures (had one, so I know).
