m currently treating a vaginal yeast infection and was wondering what your experiences were with Diflucan? How long does a typical yeast infection last? It took a lot of Diflucan to get rid of it, but your doc has to be in tune with the program, because the standard dose of Diflucan is not very strong and only for a few days. That may well not kill off a serious systemic fungal (yeast) infection in a susceptible person. I took it in (prescribed) high doses for weeks, maybe months, per dr's orders. There are risks to Diflucan at that level, but also risks to a systemic fungal infection.
There are some very good treatments for it. One of the best is diflucan. Given your history, I would be worried that your cancer might be returning.
If you were my patient, I would remove that ovarian cyst. It is quite likely to twist and cause pain. I would also encourage you to consider birth control pills to help with the heavy periods and pain.
I'm not too sure what to make of the shoulder pain--it is possible that you have endometriosis.
I know it is short acting but how long does it stay in your system? Is it 4 or 6 hours? The reason I am asking is sometimes if I have an attack and it helps but by bedtime I might start feeling like I'm going to have another. What type of stomach problems? Did you mention the stomach problems to your doctor? Did she think that the stomach problems were because of a panic attack?
If the stomach problems are a badly upset stomach, then I would go to Another doctor and let them know that you recently had the gardasil vaccine and you exerienced an upset stomach (mention this first) as well as the other more common side effects that you mentioned.
So, this all started with a yeast infection.
I had some pretty typical symptoms, went to the doc, who diagnosed by my description of symptoms. Did a urine test for STDs (chlamydia, gonnehrea) all negative. He prescribed Diflucan and gave me 2 pills. I took the first one and the symptoms got a lot better. Then (my thought is it wasn't fully healed) after sex it returned. So I took another Diflucan, everything seemed cool.
Then I got a really bad cold and was prescribed a Z pack. Surprise!
