I would have to say all the old wives tales are not true.... I compared all the wives tales to my pregnancy and they all pointed to a girl.... But I'm having a boy....

Haha. Yup. I suffered the same heartburn too. And my baby was born full of hair. But so were both of them and the heartburn wasn't as bad the second time. I think it has more to do with how high u carry. With my son my pee was almost neon. And I was told that meant I was gonna have a boy. And I did. So I don't know if its a coincidence or if there are some truths to it.

So it's possible to have baby with ton of hair nd no heartburn?

It Is a wives tales, but I'm really hoping It's true! I have HORRIBLE heartburn and acid reflux! It's so bad that It wakes me up at night, hoping he'll have a full head of hair! I'll know If It's true In about a week!

It's a myth. With my first pregnancy I had lots of heartburn and my son barely had any hair at all.

So I'm due March 9th! Almost there, and we aren't finding out the sex! This is my first baby, and i keep looking at the old wives tales to see if they are accurate. I'm carrying high, and crave sweets more than salt, have bad acne as well. Signs point to a girl and 99% of people think girl, but i keep thinking boy now for some reason lol. I've always been told the same tale; however, I was told that the baby would either have a ton of hair or either they would possibly have little to no hair but not completely. bald. Just so happen with my first child (a girl)...she gave me major heartburn/indigestion and she was born with so much thick and long hair you literally had to "dig" to find her scalp...

(but not till the last few weeks of pregnancy) I was much neater all over with my girl. The old wives tales are a fun way to pass some time but dont always work...suppose theres a 50/50 chance so they will be right half the time!

So excited so the wives tales might be true. At 18 weeks my babys heart rate averaged 150 so all let you guys know what were having by monday. :) when my grandma was alive she did the ring trick on all her daughters on what they were going to have and she was always spot on.

Don't know about that but my first 3 no heartburn at all come out with tons of hair.

So I have heard the multiple wives tales of 5hings such as if the heart beat is fast it's a girl, if you crave sweets it's a girl, and if your hips and butt spread out more and get bigger then it's a girl. My family is praying for the first grandchild to be a girl, so had anyone had any of these and the baby be a girl? I was at the doctor today and the heartbeat was 178 so that just increased everyone's hopes of a girl.

My first pregnancy I was carrying low and everyone would tell me omg its a girl cuz its so low when I went to the ultrasound they told me it was a boy n now I have a hyper healthy 2 yr old which he turned today n hes telling everyone he's 2 lol

Yeah it's just old wives tales (myth) because with my first pregnancy I don't have noooo heart burn at all and my daughter was born with a head full of hair. Same goes for my sisters.

please list all ur old wives tales about gender prediction! me and my boy friend want to try everything in the next few weeks before me have our anatomy scan to find out the sex! i will post all my results later! we have already tried the baking soda pee test, any others u ladies have tried?

Oh and don't think ur baby is a boy just because of the wives tales. Mine is a baby girl and i crave salt and lemon all the time.
